Sail to nowhere or change itinerary. Our feelings are the same, we do not care where we go in the event we can't dock at a port, lol we are just happy to be on vacation and cruising!

Before setting sail, if the room is facing the water side (not the portside), you will see the ships when you're coming and going down the Mississippi. Especially if your sailing on a night they are expected to be back into New Orleans. Always works for us.

We always park in the garage at the port, we love it and it's convenient. We are usually off the ship by 7:30am and out of the garage and onto the interstate by 7:45am. We usually arrive fairly early to the port as well so no wait other than inside the waiting area. Early check in. (fttf)

Babe and I will probably never purchase cheers. I really wish we could but we cannot justify spending $804 extra on the cruise package. One day when I'm retired in 25 years. >_<

I'm in Pensacola, so from me to South Florida is quite a trek in one day, doable but a good drive. It's pushing it really close and hard to drive from Atl to Port Can. On cruise day.

If you use a birth certificate they will take your photo, this happened when I used my BC the first time I cruised. Also last August, I used my passport but during the photo process of getting my passport, the woman had me remove my glasses. When I got to the New Orleans port, the agent took a photo of me with my glasses since I was wearing them during check in.

I used a photocopy of my birth certificate when I cruised in 2012. Now I have a passport. I'm not sure if things have changed since 2012.

August 2012, since then I've been hooked. We had a gap in cruising but now plan to cruise (fingers crossed) twice a year. We leave March 26, 2017 on our 3rd cruise.
