With the ever changing testing requirements of COVID, I have a question I can't find the answer to. We are cruising out of Seattle on Royal Caribbean to Alaska with one stop in BC Canada. Do I need to test 2 days prior? (Wednesday for a Friday Departure) Or 3 days prior to departure? (Tuesday for a Friday Departure) I've seen wording for both, and I could test Wednesday but something just popped up in my life which will make Wednesday hard to test. I hate waiting until the last minute and test on Thursday. Looking for some clarification.

I do the same thing... I don't have a pacemaker, I just enjoy a good pat down.

I noticed that my iHealth tests have will expire this month, before I need to test. I saw somethings online about how the FDA extended there expiration date and found the release. Have you had any experience with that? Any issue when testing?

Are you able to use your own tests or do you have to buy a test from them? That was the major draw to OnPoint testing is we could use the free covid tests from USPS.

I have a question for those that have used the OnPoint proctored testing. I have an appointment scheduled, and I'm doing the registration on the Coivd-19 page as they requested. I'm to the screen where they are asking for my insurance information. Do they need that? Since I have the test, I've already paid for the proctored test, why do they need my insurance information? Can I just select uninsured? Really don't like putting that information out there if I don't have to.

We've only cruised Carnival and have our first RC cruise booked on September 2nd. I'm excited to try a new line. The one thing I agree with is all the specialty dining and up-charging. I hate how cruising is going to the Pay-to-Play model. It used to be you paid your cruise fare and everything on the ship was included. Now you have to pay extra for certain restaurant's, iFly, Flowrider, etc. The way things are headed, your cruise fare is only going to include the room and everything else is going to be an upcharge.

Working in the healthcare field this is your best option. I've seen people test positive months after infection. I'd do this just in case you fail the pre-cruise covid test.

How soon to departure can you do this? I was thinking of doing it either the night before or the taxi ride to the pier.

If its really that important, why not just leave them home and save the money on their room? Its a vacation, tell them to get out and enjoy something new. They'll survive a week without video games.

First time sailing with Royal, and we just did our online check in. I was able to get it all done, but it never asked for my vaccine information. I remember reading in the forums that people say to make sure its uploaded for faster embarkation. Where do you upload it, or enter the information?

I'm interested in using the OnPoint for the proctored tests. Are you able to use the free covid tests sent out by USPS for the proctored test?
