  1. Nice review- Thanks! We will be on the Encore in April. I thought the hallways on the ship had fish on the carpets. The fish are always swimming forward towards the front of the ship to help everybody with direction.
  2. Thanks for the quick reply! I can’t wait to try them out.
  3. Thank you so much for explaining this! None of us have never done an escape room, so we will take forever to figure things out! It sounds like a ton of fun! Did you make your reservations as soon as you got on board? Where do you go to make your reservations?
  4. You created a wonderful wrap-up of your cruise! We will be on the Encore in April, and many of your details could apply to us. The Encore is the biggest ship that we will have been on, and there is much to learn about it and the itinerary. Thanks a million!🛳️
  5. We have reservations for Onda in April. I am glad to hear it was very enjoyable! Do you know how the virtual escape room in the Galaxy Pavilion works? I know you have to pay, but can you make reservations for the cruise as soon as you board? Do you just show up and wait your turn? Do you have to have a group of 6 in order to play?
  6. These were the prices on the Miracle last month. The sign on the left is $69, the sign in the middle is $55, and the sign on the right is $55.
  7. Thank you so much for the fast reply! I am unfamiliar with having to make reservations for shows, and would hate to miss out on those.
  8. Once on board, is it necessary to make reservations for the Comedy Club and the Cavern Club, or are those venues that you just show up early to get a seat?
  9. These are from the Pride of America cruise October 2022.
  10. Thank you MagnoliaBlossom for all of your insight! There are so many intricacies of booking, verbiage, and timing. I have always booked my own cruises and never gone on a group cruise or used a pvp. It’s a new experience and you have to learn the right questions to ask.
  11. No, I don’t see that terminology anywhere on my paperwork, but my room # and category changed on the invoice- so I know I got the upgrade.
  12. Thanks for the quick reply! I realize that dealing with NCL, a group planner, and a credit card company is a triple threat that I will never repeat! All others in the group received price drops, but I was the only one in the group using NCL credit card points.
  13. I am booked with a group cruise. I booked an inside cabin and used 60,000 points for a double meta upgrade to a balcony. Since booking and getting the upgrade, the price for an inside cabin has dropped a couple of hundred dollars per person. Our group cruise planner said that because I used the credit card points, I am not eligible for any price drops, as any price drops are much less value than the upgrade to a balcony. Is this policy according to NCL, or is this how group cruises with planners work? This is my first use of points for a double meta upgrade and my first time in a group cruise with a vacation planner.
  14. I was thinking the usual order was: wedding parties, suites, Diamond, then Platinum. Having never been on a Journeys cruise, is boarding by check in times-or do wedding parties and suites still get on first?
  15. The Pride of America this October had the paper copies in our room each evening. The maps of the port and the excursion description pamphlets were in a huge bookcase next to the excursion desk.
  16. We are huge fans of the Spirit class ships! Have sailed once on the Pride and multiple times on the Spirit and Miracle. It is so easy to traverse the decks-not like the up, over down around the galley on the Splendor. The variety of cabins on the Spirit class ships is the winning point for us. Vista views- aka Aft Wraps- are our favorite, love the bowling alley balconies, and the French door inside cabins. Our next cruise is on the Miracle to Hawaii in January.
  17. We recently were in Hawaii on the Pride of America. That was the most uncomfortable mattress for my husband and me.
  18. We sailed this cruise in early October. One of the bartenders told us that typically the POA has to have 75% American citizens, but because of all of the staffing issues/ Covid difficulties that a 1 year exception was made that only 50% of the staff has to be an American citizens. Many months before sailing only Cagney and Le Bistro would accept reservations. Shortly before sailing, the Teppanyaki was opened, but we couldn’t make a reservation there before we boarded. Once we got onboard, we were told La Cucina just opened and was taking reservations. The Churrascaria and Dolce Gelato were not open.
  19. I read on another board that the Miracle will get the new livery paint job and a Shaq’s big chicken.
  20. Thanks for the official and unofficial updates! It is an older ship that could really use new paint in many spots. I suppose all of the space on the ship is being utilized and there could never be a specialty restaurants added.
  21. I didn’t know the Miracle was going to dry dock. We sail her in January. Does anybody know any changes that will be happening with her in dry dock?
  22. These menus are from the Starbucks on the Pride of America on 10/1/2022.
  23. Since the POA is in port most of the daylight hours, did you get charged a port tax for every drink you ordered while in each port?
  24. So let me get this straight, we will be on the Pride of America soon. It does overnights in Maui, Hilo, and Kaua’i. From 8:00 am to about 7:00 pm the next night- every drink served with the regular drink package will have an additional tax?
