  1. Last year at Port Canaveral we tipped the porter $2 each for 2 small bags. I can't remember exactly what he said, but I remember it was a rude snarky comment about how cheap we were. Our bags arrived in tact, but I was worried they wouldn't. I'm not sure how much of a tip he expected. Were we supposed to cover his living expenses? People like him make me not want to tip.

  2. Please excuse my ignorance for this question, but I've never brought wine on before. I read carnival's alcohol policy regarding this but I'm a little confused still.

I know there's a corkage fee if I consume the wine I bring "In the MDR or bar", but what if I'm drinking it in my cabin & not at dinner? Can I do that? Can i bring a wine opener with me?

Again sorry for my ignorance about this. I've never brought wine onboard before (& we've cruised many times) so I just need to know how this all works.

    Thank you inn advance!

  3. Absolutely love margarittaville! Been there twice & going for a 3rd time next year on a cruise. My husband & I just sit & relax, maybe have a few drinks. It's just a fun place. You can also get off the ship & head straight to the beach right off the pier. We see no need to drive around sightseeing. We've done our fair share of that so no more interest.

No need to be rude to people on this forum who have a different opinion than you. We all love our vacations any way we choose.

  4. Going on a cruise next spring & wondering about hotels in a safe Baltimore area, preferably close to port. I've already checked other topics/forums on CC but little if any info.

I read that the Best Western is in a rough area, but not sure how accurate that is.

If anyone has any preferences on decent hotels they'd like to share, I'd appreciate it!

    Thank you in advance!

  5. If you knew you owed money, why not just pay it so they wouldn't have to hunt you down?If a cruise line owed you money, wouldn't you be frustrated that they were ignoring you? I'm sure you'd go to many lengths to get your money back from them. I think you just wanted to pay them when it was convenient for you, so if they had to hunt you down, that's on you.

  6. On the Allure this past spring & couldn't disagree with you more. Our cabin steward was just great! Very personable, always greeted us by name, always smiling. Our dinners were always good too. There wasn't one meal that we didn't enjoy. While pool servers were not always around, walking to the bar to get a drink didn't take very long either.

Sorry you didn't enjoy this cruise. Alot of people never get to go on one, so be thankful you're one of the fortunate ones.
