We were on the Sunshine last year. Our cabin was across from the elevators. Never heard any noise! And I'm not a heavy sleeper.

I keep reading about the uncomfortable hard mattresses on Allure. Can anyone tell me if this is the case? I've read that they are almost rock hard & some passengers get backaches from them.
Thanks in advance!

Snit13 thank you for that info, but not interested in a roll call. Just wondering about the sail away party.

Sorry, but it is a problem that DOES exist. On every cruise we've been on my husband and I have had a very hard time finding 2 chairs to just lay out in the sun any where on deck. We usually go out in the afternoon and it is ridiculous trying to find just 2 chairs, sometimes even ONE chair in the sun, and I'm not just talking by the pool. Many chairs are empty but being saved. If people would just use them when they need them, it wouldn't be a problem.
Getting a chair in the afternoon is not gonna happen.
-
We've seen this on Radiance and Vision class ships. People come and go all day using the same chair. And they're not gone just a few minutes. Wish there would be some kind of enforcement.
Curious if it would bother you if you couldn't find a find a chair.
I have NEVER not found a chair. If that ever did happen, I'd probably just get up a little earlier. No big deal.
-
So if I leave my personal belongings on a chair while I go to the pool or hot tub for a while, I'm chair hogging?
When I say early riser, I'm up before 6am. My husband is up at no later than 7am. And why should he have to get up if I'm already up? I don't take advantage of saving chairs.
And no, I'd never save 16 chairs. And I've not seen that happen on any cruise I've been on.
It just doesn't bother me when people save chairs.

I don't see anything wrong with saving a chair for a spouse. I'm an early riser. I get up early, head to the pool area, & get 2 chairs. (Sometimes even 4 chairs if other family members are with us). My husband comes about an hour later. We eat breakfast rather quickly, as heaven forbid we're away from our chairs for 30 minutes. We're back at the chairs & will be there at all times except for a trip to shops, the restroom, etc.
I've seen others do this & it doesn't bother me. So what if they're saving chairs for an hour. They just don't put a towel down & walk away. One person is there.
Just get yourself up early & get a chair.

Haven't ever been "pre-flagged" for any of my $1000- $2000 purchases on the islands or the ships. They look at my declaration paperwork & send me thru.
-
We used them last year. They worked great. No interferences. And they weren't squealing or making noise that bothered anyone.

Try the Doubletree Inn on Canal St. Walking distance to everything! Nice small bar/redtaurant downstairs. Rooms are beautiful. Clean. Friendly staff.
Make sure you go to Cafe DuMonde for a pastry. They're awesome!

Thank you all for the info! I'll be calling them.

Is the name Park & Fly?

Can anyone tell me where I can park a 28 ft RV near the port? Leaving on a cruise next spring so we'd like to park the RV somewhere safe while we're gone. Going on Allure of the Seas.
Thank you in advance!

On the Allure next spring but unfortunately this sale doesn't work in my favor.
-
Price difference between the 2 are minimal. Each has their pros & cons I guess. The thing about the Allure is having to pre-arrange shows or specialty dining. With around 6000 people onboard I imagine it's difficult.

Wondering if there was any late nite dining available on either ship class. Can't decide on Allure or Freedom for our March 2017 cruise. Would like to be able to go get a deli sandwich or something similar usually around 10-11pm. Wouldn't want my only choice to be pizza like it was on the Independence last year. Thanks in advance!

Just get off & walk there. It's absolutely beautiful! Includes a free buffet lunch which is awesome, but you pay for your drinks. Beach area is one of the best!
Beware of the vendors in the upper selling area. They are VERY aggressive. The worst I've seen.

About 45 min. Cocoa Beach shuttle costs us $25.
