There is a room where they offer Mah Jongg every day that has card tables. You can play there every day. As best I recall it is on deck 2 starboard side towards the front of the ship, it used to be the computer room.

Thank you!

When posted activities do not interest us, my friend(s) and I like to play cards. Where is a good place on the Nieuw Statendam to play? Is there a dedicated card/game room?

Hi
I have had the same problem. Requested in early December and have not head back with the same response. Sent a second request last week with the same response. My cruise leaves March 25 and hopefully a response will come before i leave.
Bill
I am surprised in that in the past they have been quite prompt with their response. Hopefully we will hear soon. I like to take care of all business ahead of time and check it off my list!

Every cruise I go on I reach out to the casino for consideration for free play based on my past play in the casino. I have always received a reply with varying amounts rewarded. I requested consideration for an upcoming cruise a month ago and all I have heard from them is they are busy and be patient or something like that. Has anyone else had the same problem lately?

While I am with Verizon, it has been true that whether we are at sea or in port, as long as I leave my phone in airplane mode and remain connected to the ship’s Wi-Fi, I text, email and surf. I have an international plan with Verizon and it doesn’t go into effect unless I take the phone off airplane mode.
Bon Voyage- 1

Thank you so much!
If you have those tips - I will really appreciate them!
Sorry, I was not responding to the topic for a while, as I was not getting notifications about new responses for some reason. I thought this topic died long time ago. But there so much helpful info here!
If you could email me, it would be so much easier for me to respond to you. Please put in the subject….Pinnacle Suite info…
My e info is Dblondheim at. A. O. L. Dot com. I’m sure you can figure how to address the email
I wake up much earlier than my husband so things I requested enabled me to be able to make myself or him a light breakfast without having to order room service. I brought several things from home to help in the galley.
Looking forward to hearing from you. You will love your “home away from home!” -
I’m in the Pinnacle Suite on the Eurodam right now. Must vacate on Sunday and go back to reality.
When I have time to write which may be after Thanksgiving, I will give you lots of hints since this is my second time in a Pinnacle. It is a fabulous experience you will love. But to answer a few of your questions, yes, there is a kettle and a wooden box of assorted teas. I wrote an email to someone in guest services ahead of time and requested certain things to be in the refrigerator and on the counter and all requests were granted before we arrived. I will give you that email address to you as well. I brought many things from home that helped me use the kitchen (pantry) easily and I will share all those ideas with you., I look forward to sharing with you.

Nothing about Nicole, although they did call with an upsell that I declined. I think we may beat Nicole out of the port, and according to the hotel they are not expecting a storm surge which was my worst fear.
Roy
Roy, we will be at Embassy Suites if our plane leaving Atlanta tomorrow at 2:45 pm actually takes off. Embassy is not on the beach. Is your hotel beach front? No surge? I hope we beat the storm sailing at 3:00 pm on Wednesday.

Boarded Rotterdam today. No sign of Verifly. Had to show that I had my vaccination card for Turks and Caicos requirements.
Was your boarding in Ft Lauderdale?

As a 3 star Mariner, will my 25% discount be honored for add ons such as lobster or additional apps? My dinner is included with HIA if that matters.
Also, if you order room service from the main dining room and order 3 entrees for 2 people, are you charged extra?

I hope this has not changed. This was one of the Pinnacle perks my husband and I really appreciated. Cruising in Pinnacle next month. I will reply back after our cruise as to the boarding procedure and this perk.

I’m surprised with a Pinnacle Suite you didn’t have an earlier boarding time. They don’t meet Pinnacle Suite guests and take them to their cabin anymore? Maybe that’s another change…

After many failures, I waited until 27 days before our cruise to try one more time. I deleted the VeriFLY app already on my phone so I could start anew. I was able to enter all info for my husband and me. I manually submitted vaccine proof by taking a photo of our cards. All very easy, step by step directions, and seamless. Hopefully, I will have the same success 72 hours before trip when entering the answers to the health questions.
We are sailing from Ft. Lauderdale so hopefully this will help with check in.
PS. Thank you to all the previous posters who gave me advice and encouraged me to exercise patience of which is quite lacking in my life! Smooth seas to all!- 3

I sent laundry and dry cleaning every day and planning to do the same this November. I’m going to try to pack fewer clothes this time as I am a serious overpacker! I hope I am successful!

Yes no problem at all.
I m also interested. Does your answer mean no problem getting it on board as they have it available or no problem bringing it with you on board?

It's possible. Talk to your cabana attendants. If it works out, which I think it will, be generous with your attendants.
Of course! Always generous with these fine fellows!

If you're in a Neptune or Pinnacle Suite, you may also request to have afternoon tea served in your suite. We did so at 2pm daily last month on Eurodam, and it was one of our favorite rituals of our trip.
We are in Pinnacle Suite but also have a family cabana. I would like to have tea served in the cabana. Do you think that might be possible?

Love it! Sending to my cruise buddies! Hilarious!

There is a $25,000 slot tournament onboard the Eurodam Nov 9th. I am sure you will start to see changes on many of HAL's ships in the casino area as they need space to incorporate onboard sports wagering. Maybe the sports bars will be making a return.
I am curious as to how to find out if a slot tournament is on a sailing.

points are given for each $300 in spending. HAL is extremely generous in rounding up.
so $800 for cabana, $550 for HIA, wifi about $150, about $160 for gratuities works out to $1660 in spending already. That will give you about 5, maybe 6 points. You would need to spend another $2100 to make 4 star.
Thank you. Wish my losses in the casino counted! I would be 4 star for sure!🤣

What is the formula for calculating expenses into points? I am 35 points away from being 4 star.
I am going on an 11 day cruise in a suite so that would be 22 points.
I have paid for an $800 cabana
I have HIA perk and will be ordering drinks and use wifi, specialty restaurant, and maybe the excursion allowance.
I will use laundry and dry cleaning most days.
I will pay daily gratuities.is there any way to guess if there are enough paid for items to get the other 13 points I need to rise to 4 star?

Thanks for informative responses!

1. I assume Club Orange on a Pinnacle class ship is your time dining. With that assumption, do you need to make a reservation or are you allowed to make a reservation for the time you plan to arrive at dinner?
2. For a change of scenery, are you also allowed to eat in the main dining room for dinner? If yes, can you have the extra Club Orange entree?
Nieuw Statendam…..good quiet place to play cards?
