Norwegian Joy Deck Plans, Layouts, Pictures, Videos (cruisedeckplans.com)

Your deck 14 cabins are just aft of the Bridge and with the Viewing wings of the Bridge

sticking out as they do your forward vision is going to be obstructed.

That white space near your cabin could be as chengkp75 has noted could be a

panty - stewards service closet. Since it is only on deck 14 it would not be crew

stairs between decks. The space seems to be same on both port and starboard.

Would not be anything to do with air conditioning ventilation.

    Maybe a localized electrical vault.

There are 3 sideways Inside Cabins in the vicinity.

No correlation with cabins on deck 13.

Deck 15 is the Observation Lounge.

#####There are restrooms directly above cabin 14740#####

    At cabin 14746-14146 there is a cross over passageway - - -

From that point forward it appears that passageways and both P & S are dead ends - no outlet

That is all that I can observe from cruise-deck-plans.

    Very helpful!  Thank you.

  2. My first time on NCL. I’ve been on Celebrity, Holland America, and Carnival.  Partitions opened on all three.  This is not a deal breaker….just a disappointment.  I do wonder why it is a safety issue on one ship and not all ships!  I do remember one time on Celebrity we had to close them on the Transatlantic part of the cruise, but after the 8 straight days at sea, we were allowed to open them the remainder of the trip.  I have been on several Transatlantic cruises and had opened partitions except for the one I described.  Thanks for all replies!

  3. I have 3 cabins in a row on the JOY.  I was hoping to be able to open the balcony partitions so we had access to all three cabins without going into the hallway.  The cabins are 14736, 14738 and 14740.  On a deck plan website, I noticed a white space between cabins 14738 and 14740 on the deck plans.  It is a very narrow white space and wondered what it could be and if it precludes the ability to open the dividers between the two cabins.  Thanks in advance for your help.

  4. LOVE everything EXCEPT the cabanas.  The cabanas on the older ships are large and comfortable.  I have nothing nice to say about the cabanas on these newer ships.  Such a shame they changed the design of something that wasn't broken.  But, everything else is spectacular.  I'm sorry to say that when I cruise with my husband, the cabana is a deal breaker.  When it is a girls' trip, not a problem since the girls don't want a cabana anyway.

  5. On the Edge/Apex on Embarkation day, I prefer a restaurant where I can order from a menu and be served.  I do not want to go to the buffet and I am not an Aqua guest nor a suite guest.  What restaurants are open on Embarkation day that I might visit?  It does not matter if there is a charge for the lunch. Thanks for your information!

  6. I have stayed in one since I don't spend a lot of time on a balcony.  I usually just use it when sailing into and out of port.  I'm not a spa person so I didn't get it for that; however, the first one I had was on a casino offer and that was what was available.  I worred about it!  iWhat I found out was I loved its close proximity to the New York Pizza and Deli.  It was a perfect place close by for breakfast and a late afternoon snack.  I liked it so much, I booked another one on a later trip.  It was also nice to be able to get a connecting cabin to friends I was traveling with.

  7. I have the internet perk on a future sailing which I assume is for a single device. Is it possible to upgrade to the internet plan that allows 2 devices?  I know how to switch between my iPhone and iPad but would like to be able to have both connected to Wi-Fi at the same time.  I have OBC I would like to use for that. Does anyone know if that is possible and how much it would be for 14 days?  Thanks!

  8. It's time to do the on line check in for my upcoming cruise. However,  I kept getting the following message: "We've got your info.  However, we're unable to bring up your account right now, so please try again later."  I tried again 2 hours later and still got the same message.  Is anyone else having this problem?

  9. For the past two days, everytime I try to do the on line check in I get the following message:

We've got your info. However, we're unable to bring up your account right now, so please try again later.

Is anyone else having the same issue or is it just my computer?

Curious if anyone has recent with the Retreat Cabanas on the Zuiderdam. We’ve always loved these cabanas and I’m hoping the issues mentioned above have been addressed.

We had a family retreat cabana on the Z in October and it was in perfect shape. No complaints whatsoever!  Enjoy!

  11. I haven't been on Princess, but I just returned from the Zuiderdam.  It was a wonderful cruise.  I know food is subjective, but the food and service in the dining room was excellent.  The only meal I had that I didn't care for was in the Pinnnacle Grill.  Perhaps it was an off night because we have always had excellent food in this venue in the past on other ships.  We travel to relax since my husband works very hard.  A quiet ship with a private cabana on top of the ship is heaven to us.

  12. On the Zuiderdam last week, they were in the process of switching over to the aluminum cans. In the cabana, we had plastic for the first 5 days, and the aluminum the last 5 days. The water tasted the same to me, but I did not like drinking out of the wide-mouth aluminum bottle. I felt like it would cut my lip even though i didn’t. The bottles supplied in the cabin were still the plastic ones pictured above.  In the future, I will take a couple of empty plastic bottles and refill for my purse.  I take reusable insulated cups to use otherwise.
