  1. Thank you for the reply crewsweeper. Sounds like you know Belize pretty well. From what I've been reading it doesn't seem like there's much to do or no real good beaches?? Of course I'm sure it depends on ones preferences. We love beaches and nice scenic rides, good food and drinks, but won't want to sit and party while driving. The monkey sanctuary sounds pretty cool, but again, want to ride.

  2. In port for a day in November. We are avid riders and are thinking about renting a bike and seeing Belize that way. Is this a good or bad idea. Is it safe to see the island on our own? I seem to recall reading somewhere (not here) about Belize being unsafe outside the normal port/excursions.

Thoughts, opinions, recommendations etc are welcomed and appreciated!

  3. why?

Side of the ship in hopes of seeing the land while you are in port is not important.

Capt will decide when he arrives how he will be docking-- pulling in or backing in. Depend onhow many ships are in port-- when you arrive and when you leave.

Belieze is a tendered port and the port is about 20=25 minute tender ride.

view will be water on both sides.

    Alrighty then...

  4. Pregnant guests who enter the 24th week of estimated fetal gestational

age before or at any time during the cruise will not be allowed to sail. Pregnant guest, who will not enter the

24th week of estimated fetal gestational age before or at any time during the cruise, must submit, prior to

departure, a letter from her attending physician certifying that her gestational status is in accordance with this

policy, and that the expecting mother is fit to sail.

Forgive my ignorance... WTH can't pregnant women cruise???

  5. My girlfriend and I are definitely going to try Shampbooze in our checked bags. But i think we've found a genius way to get liquor aboard.

We're going to take a couple of empty wine bottles and fill them with liquor and recork them. They sell heat shrink foil for the tops of the bottles for super cheap. We're going to give it a shot.

    Has anyone tried this?

My brother in law makes wine. He made us wine bottles of Captain, labels and the top was waxed shut. Worked just fine for us, it looked like some fancy expensive wine!

Our issue this year is putting it in our checked luggage and risking it getting broken. (We drove to FLL last year from Pittsburgh, flying this year)

  6. I've been a WW since 2001. I lost over 100lbs in 2005! SLOW & STEADY! I kept it off until last year until I had injuries that kept me in a recliner on my butt for 9 months. I sat & I ate & could not work out & after all those years put on 30lbs. 3 weeks ago I decided, no more excuses, my strength is coming back & I'm working again at a very physical job. Out of the blue I logged back onto WW on my bday in the middle of the afternoon & decided I AM going to lose some of the 30 before our ship sails Nov 15th! I've lost 8lb in 3 weeks! If I lose 2 ea week before the cruise I'll be ecstatic! Good luck to all of you on your journey as we all know it's not an easy road! Enjoy your cruises!
