  1. They are now saying they might arrive between 5 and 6 pm on Sunday and will only reimburse hotels if they arrive after 6pm.
  2. Yes I had that calculation, but then I thought it was already Saturday for a minute 🤦‍♂️
  3. My parents are on the ship. They have just left Lisbon. They were being told originally that they would have to get off the ship immediately no matter what the time was which seemed extremely unreasonable to me. I am ready to book them a hotel for Sunday night and a train home Monday morning, I really think they should be allowed to stay on the ship. I told them to think of it as an extra free night on the ship, but they are very apprehensive re crossing the Bay of Biscay.
  4. The drinks were never officially part of SS so that’s fair enough. The butler was part of it when people booked and Celebrity are on dodgy ground changing it after booking and trying to claim it’s just the same service. The “delectable delights” are actually still on the website and again they were certainly there when people booked. I’d kick up a fuss about this just in principle. Anyone can call for room service, this is clearly described as something over and above that.
  5. We are in a SS on the Apex on 16th of October. We booked this quite specifically as we liked the Egypt and Israel itinerary. We have not been on Celebrity in 10 years. I like Celebrity but I felt the suites were overpriced relative to Royal. Our Last cruise was on MSC World Europa in YC (wanted to give it a try) and 3/4 previous cruises were in Star Class on Royal. We have another Star Class cruise booked in February. SS is a bit of an odd man out as it similar same service to Sky Class on Royal (it was more with the butler), but the room the size of a Junior Suite on Royal. The price of a SS is roughly similar to an Owner's suite or even a 2 floor crown loft on Royal. These are much larger rooms. The size of a CS or almost an RS. Thus you really would expect more service for the price. The most comparable product would seem to me to be the YC Deluxe balcony cabin on MSC and again here an SS is around 50% more expensive and has now done away with butlers. We are not heavy users of the Genie/butler. We don't drink and filling the fridge with soda and water would have been nice but we can get them ourselves I guess. The website still lists "daily delivery of delectable delights" for a SS. Is this still happening? My wife really likes to have something like a cheese plate in the afternoon. Would you get it if you asked the head butler to arrange it? I have also noticed that the Luminae menus were available in the app a few months ago but have mostly disappeared. I hope this is not a prelude to poorer food in Luminae. Anyway considering the pricing and reduction in service we are likely to stick with Royal or possibly MSC.
  6. Thanks people, my parents are gong on the cruise so they will ask about the possibility of starting later when they get on. He tried to cancel the extras, but cannot do anything as they are within 24 hours of embarkation. Good to know these should be refunded as they have a lot of stuff booked.
  7. My brother's wife just had to go into hospital and they leave on the Anthem of the Seas tomorrow, so she won't be able to make it. They do have insurance if they cannot go. If she is OK in the next couple of days, are they able to fly to Lisbon and pick up the cruise there. I did this a few years ago when someone in the party forgot a passport but I don't know if the rules have changed. I have told hm to try and cancel all his drinks packages and excursions, but I don't know how late you can still do this?
  8. Single cream is what we would pour over our Black Forest gateau in the UK! Makes a piece of chocolate cake lovely and moist. My American wife is horrified by me wanting to pour cream over chocolate cake. For some reason cream is very country specific. When my wife makes whipped cream she adds sugar and a little vanilla to it, making it very sweet. To my thinking cream should be plain and less sweet than he dessert you put it on. The other similar item that we have here, but you hardly ever see in the US is custard. Americans have vanilla ice cream with hot desserts, we have custard. I have been gradually converting my in-laws to this. They had copious amounts of sticky toffee pudding and custard on their last visit with us.
  9. With a lot of American relatives I finally decided to figure out what half and half was as they sometimes ask for it and I had previously told them you don't get it in the UK. Turns out half and half is what we call single cream in the UK. (Half milk, half full cream). We call full cream double cream in the UK. Virtually no one in the UK would ever consider putting cream in coffee and even less so tea. Indeed it is pretty much only a thing in the US and Canada. Coffee creamer is also virtually non existent here (except powdered Coffee Mate) 63% of milk sold in the UK is semi skimmed (called 2% in America) and only 27% is full fat.
  10. I am guessing you are in the same boat as us 😀 - the flights to Singapore will be more than the cruise. The solarium and silver lounge/dining room were reserved for suite guests and diamond members and above when they were running the gold/silver system out of Shanghai. I don't know how this has changed since the ship has moved to Singapore. My guess is that the silver lounge is now equivalent to the diamond lounge. On the Shanghai cruises the windjammer was crazy busy and to be avoided. The silver dining, which is a quieter buffet was a really nice addition. The gold dining is more similar to Coastal Kitchen and will I assume now be for Sky suites and above. Service was outstanding on our previous cruise on the ship.
  11. £1500 per night is for the cabin not per person. I would say from other bookings that we have been paying closer to £2000+per night for the first two people in a Star Class cabin. It is actually £7315 total for 3 people, at the moment the third person is only £129. I have booked through Costco which brings the cost down to around £6500 for the 5 nights. If I had enough people to fill the Ultimate Family Suite I would be booking it as the 3-8th people would only be £129 each at the moment which is a fantastic deal. (In fact I might look for something next summer if I can get this kind of pricing) Interestingly this is the second cruise we have booked where suites are materially cheaper to book in the UK vs the US. We have a Celebrity Apex booking in October this year where US pricing was around 30% higher than UK pricing, this time US pricing is around 10% higher. Historically we have booked via the US usually as it has been cheaper. I knew that Gold and Silver class had ended, although they still have the dining rooms labeled that way. When we sailed before on Spectrum the GLS was a Gold suite which was basically the same as Sky Class. There were no genies on sailings out of Shanghai. I seems that they have now reverted to Sea/Sky/Star for sailings out of Singapore and the room is Star Class. It is just a little disconcerting that the room description itself does not say Star Class. The mention of Genies on FB is a very good sign. I will check that out.
  12. I just booked the Spectrum 5nt cruise from Singapore Feb 12th 2024. We were on the Spectrum out of Shanghai in 2019 when they had Gold and Silver suites. General info on Star Class on the RCI website says that a Grand Loft Suite on Spectrum is Star Class However, the room description itself does not mention this on the RCI website. Just of note the price for Star Class is very reasonable on the Spectrum. Around £1500 a night in a GLS before any discounts. I suspect they just have not updated the room description, but anyone could confirm it would be good.
  13. 1. Sorry did not visit the spa. We did visit the gym which was OK, but around half the size of the one on Wonder of the Seas. 2. The pools didn't seem too busy, but to be fair I only looked at them in passing. The inside pool in the Botanic Garden is a particularly nice facility and usually maybe had three or four people in it, I could imagine it being very busy if it was cooler outside. Similarly hot tubs seemed well used, but not overly busy. The YC pool is quite small and there was one hot tub next to it. It wasn't busy. They had reserved cabanas on the deck for the OS and RS which were very nice and service up there was good. the deck was quite busy. 3. I am not the best person to ask as my wife and I don't drink. My friend and SIL with us enjoyed the drinks selection and never felt the need to go above E13. The beer selection seemed a little limited. As well as no Asian beers they had no Peroni or Moretti for the mini bar. Basically every time my friend asked for something they said Heineken or Stella. So he asked for Heineken in one bar which they had on draught and twice they gave him a dark beer that obviously wasn't lager. When he queried it they gave him a bottle of Heineken instead of this draught beer. Something to mention on the WiFi. The speed was OK, but it had trouble resolving quite a lot of URLs. These were not streaming sites, and this continued after I upgraded to the streaming wifi, just various websites that I was using during the week. In the end I used a VPN to get a consistent browsing experience, so it definitely was not a speed or capacity issue.
  14. Sorry, I was. There was a lot to do and we seemed to have very little time. No one had asked any further questions, so I left it until we got home. The first night in the YC restaurant seemed to be an anomaly. The service was very good every other time we were in there, we generally had the same waiter after the first night who was very good. The plastic water bottles did make one more appearance when back in Dubai, I don't know why. Generally the food in the YC restaurant I would say was solid but not great. A few desserts were highlights - the floating island, tarte tatin and caramel ice cream. I still feel there was a lack of variety in the meals. I found myself eating way more red meat than I ever would at home which was not great for my stomach. They were very good at catering for my wife and her sister's gluten free diet. The actual menu wasn't that exciting, but they just asked for things such as chicken breast and salads or adjustments to things on the main menu. There were still a couple of niggles. They closed the YC restaurant for breakfast at 9am one day despite the app showing 930am. We went to the YC sundeck instead. The unpleasant waiter from the first night told me to speak to the YC director when I tried complaining. I then figured out we could go upstairs, they didn't offer it as an alternative. The two times we had breakfast up there the service was much less professional than in the restaurant. The entertainment was alright. The shows are quite short, 35-45 minutes. We saw the musicals based production which was decent and the George Michael tribute act. He was OK, but lost the audience by doing a lot of ballads before doing more upbeat well known numbers. A large number of people left during the show. We did the Love Market tour in Dammam. We were fascinated to see Saudi Arabia and people seemed very happy to see tourists. There was not really a lot to see but we still enjoyed the experience. Two men were filming the tour. They were very friendly taking pictures with people, but I did wonder what was going on. We asked the tour guide if they were government officials and they said they thought they worked for local businesses. I wasn't buying it. My wife asked them and they said they worked for security for the royal family who wanted to know more about the tourists. For the drinkers, they were serving alcohol in the YC restaurant with dinner. I was astonished though that not only did they remove any alcohol n the mini bar but they took a bottle of champagne and gin that we had previously been given out of the room. I don't drink so didn't care, but once they have given these things to you, they belong to you and this is a very weird thing to do. Hide your booze if you want to drink in the afternoon. In Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha we didn't do any organised tours, nor take the over priced hop on hop off buses (much more expensive than in most cities and with less stops). Instead we just jumped in taxis and Ubers which are extremely cheap. My companions were particularly impressed with Doha. We had our meal in Butcher's Cut and it was good. The steaks were excellent, although the desserts and starters were uninspiring. Service was very good. We were seated in the area on deck eight outside the restaurant. We didn't find the people passing by a problem and enjoyed the people watching. Overall, my daughter perhaps best summed it up. She said why have they copied Royal Caribbean Oasis Class but with everything a bit worse? I said that was probably fair, but you had to take into consideration that it was much cheaper. She wasn't so fussed as she wasn't paying! I actually think my daughter's verdict was a bit harsh. The actually accommodation in our room was beautiful and better than you would get on RCI for similar money. I think if you were used to a Grand or Owners Suite on RCI which can be quite expensive, then a YC Balcony with butler service would seem like a nice upgrade in service, although a smaller room. Relative to Star Class which I wanted to compare it to, I would say the butler was 80-90% as good. I asked him how many cabins he covered and he told me seven. Genies usually cover three or four. TBH considering he was covering seven I don't know how he managed it. So maybe 80-90% of the service and 125% of the space for 75% of the price. My two niggles with the cabin remained annoying all trip. The lack of a separate WC, indeed we stayed at hotels either side of the cruise where they had separated the WC from the bathroom so two people could use the facilities. That would have helped a lot. The other was the bizarrely uncomfortable hot tub. With no seat cut into the base you had to constantly force yourself to stop floating around in it. On the other hand the sp itself has an enormous number of hot tubs and the largest main pool I have ever seen on a cruise ship. As to things I have seen mentioned in other reviews. We were in the buffet a couple of times and it was quite cramped for space and had much less variety than on RCI. We didn't try the MDR. I do think they need more specialty restaurants and the choices they have are odd. La Pescaderia was very quiet and of little interest to us. Chef's Garden Kitchen seemed very expensive and I couldn't get excited about the menu, although perhaps it would have been good. There was no free soft serve ice cream on deck, it was three Euros at one of the four places that sold ice cream on the ship. Disappointing as I am a big ice cream fan. I must mention the hot chocolate in Jean Phillippe which was fantastic. On the other hand the chai tea in the Raj Polo Tea House was quite disappointing which was a shame as it is a lovely venue. We didn't find the Russians as bothersome as some other people. There were clearly a lot of them about but we didn't really interact with them. There were a couple of instances of pushing in and so on, but nothing we couldn't ignore. The famous MSC IT struck when we got off the ship. My friend had multiple unexpected charges pending on his debit card, although one has since disappeared. We were not presented with a bill the last night of the cruise. Indeed I was quite uncomfortable with the way payments were handled all cruise. Consistently you were just presented with a tablet to sign and not shown the bill first. I think my friend was charged instead of me by mistake for one meal. Overall we had a great vacation and many of the niggles I am pointing out are only for comparison sake. I think once you set out to review something and note issues with it, it can soon spoil your fun. Hot tub picture added to show the lack of seating.
  15. They have come through and fixed the restaurant issue. I think the service has got better as they have got used to us. Service very good in the YC tonight. It did seem that the previous issues were very much first night issues. People not that excited by the GF menus, the preference is to have things from the main menu and remove items with obvious gluten in them. Great selection of GF treats in the room tonight.
  16. Actually there is a single plate and cutlery with the fruit bowl. We have taken a some stuff from room service and put it away in the cupboard to have it later. I have been to the concierge re the restaurant booking and left it with them. I have suggested the option of having it in the room.
  17. We have cups/mugs/saucers and spoons for tea and coffee, but nothing else.
  18. At this precise moment I am really annoyed. When we got on the ship, I asked both the butler and concierge desk if we could see the menus for the week for the YC restaurant so we could plan when to go to the specialty restaurants. I put an enormous amount of time and effort into planning my holidays so that things go as expected and like to have as much information as possible beforehand. I had already looked at the YC menus on here. Both the butler and concierge desk gave me the same answer. We couldn't have the menus for the week as they were subject to change. However, that night I found that once we were on the ship the menus were loaded up to the MSC for Me app. They were not there beforehand, but there is a lot more info available once on the ship. I also could not book specialty restaurants until I got onto the ship. When the butler told us that we couldn't have the menus for the week, I said it was not ideal as we wanted to know when to book the specialty restaurants. Don't worry says he, just tell me 10 minutes before you want to go ands it will be fine. I was somewhat incredulous and said I was worried that they would be booked out, but he said it was not a problem. Having looked at the menus, we decided that we did not like the look of the Thursday night menu in the YC and wanted to go to Butcher's Cut. So we told him this today, Tuesday at 1230, as we went for lunch. We asked for a table for five at 630 on Thursday. He turns up 10 minutes later to tell us that Butcher's Cut is totally booked up at that time and the first table we can have is at 930. I was livid, but bit my tongue and said we would look at the menu and see if we can go a different night. I have looked at the menu and really really don't like the Thursday night YC menu. I am extremely conflicted, the butler seems nice and is doing is best, but we literally had a conversation where I said I was worried about the restaurants being fully booked and he said not to worry about it, it would not be a problem. We also went back to the smoothie bar to get protein shakes and were told that they wouldn't have any until we get back to Dubai. Seems very strange as we only left Dubai on Saturday night and they said they had none on Monday night. I also passed some other passengers trying to buy a drink from a bar where the bartender was busy behind the bar. He told them it was closed, they asked when it would be open and he responded with "when I am ready" which I found quite rude and unhelpful. On the positive side, breakfast in the YC was again very good. I had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon and the salmon I thought was very good quality. There has been no repeat of the plastic bottles of water incident. Waiting staff continue to seem very disorganised. Bizarrely it sometimes seem as if they have too many staff with multiple different staff offering you bread, drinks etc. It would run more smoothly if they kept maybe two people to each table. We asked what GF berad and pastry offerings they had at breakfast,. They brought out everything they had which seems like a good way to do it. There was bread and rolls, the same biscuits we have in the room and little cakes. I have uploaded today's GF menus. My wife had the soup at lunch which was very tasty, and the fish which was quite bland. One disappointment is they don't list any GF desserts at all. Some desserts are naturally GF but not listed on the menu e.g most flavours of ice cream or creme brûlée. I think they should have one actual GF dessert listed each day.
  19. My MSC and Me has different wording and they seem to have normal bacon in the YC restaurant. Looking at the menus posted in the YC dinner menu thread, the menus are very similar to the recent Seascape and Grandiosa menus. However they have reduced the number of entrees from five to four plus the always available options and the healthy option. So there is one less option here. Pork is on the menu, so that is not the reason for it being shorter. The stupid thing is, if the Taco restaurant is supposed to be halal, no one looking for that would go in with pork on the menu, so the effort is wasted.
  20. Sorry, my wife now informs me that they told her that GF was at your own risk in the Taco restaurant and indeed her stomach is now rock hard, so there was gluten in something. We had hoped the corn tacos would be GF. It was probably them or the corn chips. I got to the restaurant five minutes late and missed the discussion. They offered GF bread for dinner, but we didn't try it. We haven't asked at breakfast time, I was wondering if they had GF pastries and will ask. They have delivered GF biscuits to our cabin. They are a bit hard, but at least they have the option. See below. They also delivered meringues, coconut macaroons and cookies The cookies definitely aren't GF, I don't know about the other things, they would seem like they might be, but are mixed in with gluten containing cookies.
  21. Yes, I figured out the renderings were wrong from the deck plan. We wanted the larger room, smaller deck as we spend more time inside. The YC restaurant requires you to pick food from a gluten free menu the night/morning before dinner. This is not very convenient, but does ensure you are unlikely to get cross contaminated food. Menus do not show allergens at all which I find quite annoying. I understand if you have a life threatening allergy, but most people with gluten sensitivity get a sore stomach. Not tried the pool deck lunch buffet. Kaito Teppanyaki did a fantastic job making gluten free sushi and teppanyaki first before cooking for everyone else. Taco restaurant was also not a problem gluten wise. Bit farcical to worry about allergies then serve you entirely different meat to what was ordered in the taco restaurant. My wife has not eaten lamb since she was a small child and wasn't planning to eat any. Multiple issues of things not being available. Asian beer, protein shakes, ice cream shakes. Very top of the menu in the sweet shop says ask for vegan ice cream. We asked, there was none. Also almost no Diet Coke, mainly Coke Zero which is not the same thing. No blenders for frozen drinks on Sir Bani Yas Island. No area for snacks in the YC lounge on the Europa. Life would be made much easier if they marked what was available in the drinks package and what was not. Having to constantly ask is annoying. At the smoothie bar everything would be included price wise, but some things are and some things are not.
  22. Thanks, I changed the pics to JPEGs, hopefully they work now.
  23. Hi Everyone, We usually cruise with RCI and have loved our last three cruises in Star Class. We had never cruised on MSC, we had a couple of cancelled cruises on the Virtuosa due to COVID. I was a little apprehensive to book YC on MSC, but we liked the look of the MSC World europa and the Dubai cruise was an interesting change from the Med, especially the opportunity to see Saudi Arabia first hand. Just for comparison we paid around $20,000 for 6 people in a two bed aqua suite on the Wonder of the Seas cruising from Rome in October 2022 and we paid $11,000 for three people in the MSC Owner's Suite and $3200 for a further two people in a YC inside suite. Plus around $400 in service charges which are included in Star Class. This included a 10% Voyagers discount. So it was somewhat cheaper than Star Class. I checked and the prices are similar on the Europa for October 23 in the Med to the cruise we are currently on. Pre cruise - 1. Check in was not as easy on MSC. The website kept saying that you couldn't check in without filling out a health questionnaire, but it wasn't on the website. Eventually I figured a way around it and printed it out. 2. There is no pre cruise contact from MSC re drinks in your cabin and restaurant bookings, you need to do this onboard. 3. You cannot prebook shows and restaurants on MSC (at least not on this cruise). I like to be organised. 4. MSC provided absolutely zero information about the Saudi Visa requirement pre cruise. I only knew how to apply by checking online. Boarding - Fast and straightforward, pretty much the same as Star Class with a butler helping you to your room. Only slight difference is that it was not our butler. The Ship - The ship is lovely and modern. Differences may well be a matter of taste. Passing comments from my cruise mates. We miss the lovely art from RCI ships and things feel a little tighter on the Europa. There seem to be more bottlenecks such as the doors to the boardwalk are which are a lot smaller. There are a lot of mirrors on this ship. The Rooms - See pictures The Owner's Suite is a spectacular room, which is much better decorated than the Aqua suite on the Oasis class, more akin to a RS on RCI. The Aqua suite has slightly cheap feeling bathrooms for a suite on RCI, this room has a fabulous bathroom. However, it only has one bathroom. Considering the size of the room and the expectation that groups might well hang out in the lounge a guest WC would make a big difference. It would be great if MSC had more multi room suites, we stayed in the four bed villa on the Harmony which was a fantastic room. We thought the lack of extra bathroom would be a pain and it has proven to be so. The inside YC cabin is pretty tight, but we knew that it would only be used for sleeping and we would hang out in the Owner's suite. There is no crockery/cutlery in this room which would be handy. But of course you cannot order restaurant food to the room in the YC. It seems that for the Owner's suite with it very large table this benefit should be included. The hot tub is very large and I wish RCI added hot tubs to a few more rooms. It is slightly odd though in that it doesn't have seats formed into the base, I struggled not to float off the bottom. At least it works though. When we were on the Harmony it did not work and they had to refill it every day with warm water. The TV selection is very poor on MSC here, only English news channels. Included WiFi is the basic package on MSC. I had to pay E60 to upgrade someone to surf and stream so we could watch Netflix etc. There is also no option to attach devices to the TV on this ship as we have had on RCI. MSC uses SES for WiFi. The speed seems the same (2-4MB) on both packages. The basic package just blocks Netflix etc (Youtube seems to work). However I have watched Netflix and Sky Go via VPN and they worked fine at the speed available. Butler vs Genie Our butler is very accommodating and seems very eager to help. He has unpacked one person's bag, arranged for snacks in the room, stocked our fridge etc. He has escorted us around the ship and generally been very good. The Genie just has more personal service and less people to look after. The drinks we asked for when we first got on the ship didn't appear until six hours later and a reminder. The genie for the inside cabin seemed very put out to be asked to separate the beds, but it was done by bedtime. The concierge desk has been very helpful and efficient. Restaurants/Food YC Restaurant I actually decided to wait to write this until after the first night as the YC restaurant was a disaster. I suspect it was busier than usual on the first night and we ate at 730ish which is the busiest time. We normally eat early. Two of our group are gluten free. We had mentioned this to the butler but it had not made its way to the restaurant. The waiter was very put out by this and then decided that the assistant manager had to serve us. He had quite an unpleasant manner, noticed by every single one of our party. The poor assistant manager had way too much to do and was almost sprinting between tables. This made it very hard to ask for anything as whoever you spoke to seemed to run away almost as soon as you took a breath. It also seemed to mean that we didn't really have a waiter of our own. They were insistent that my wife and her sister had to pick food for the next day if eating gluten free. They did this but then we decided to eat in another restaurant. It is very good from a food safety point of view, but we way prefer RCI just showing what food has gluten in it on the menu and choosing this way. I took a picture of the table half way through the meal. We were served water from plastic bottles that were just left on the table. My empty Coke can was not removed and wine glasses were left on the table for people not drinking. It was a mess. I would actually say it was the worst service we have ever had on any cruise ever. One person felt that they seemed very new and that was the reason, then remembered we have sailed on multiple almost new RCI ships with no such issues. The food itself was fine to good, although the menu seems a bit restricted. There is too much seafood and pasta/risotto, although I knew that from menus I had seen on line. Many nights have just one meat option plus the always available beef fillet. Breakfast, however, has been very good and much more relaxed the past two days. Almost identical to eating in CK on the Oasis class. KaitoTeppanyaki This was extremely good value for money, much cheaper than on other lines. E24-E39 including a fish and meat course and sushi taster. The amount of food was less than on RCI, but tbh the mount of food is almost obscene on RCI. Service was extremely good. We might well go back. There was bit less theatre about it than on RCI, but at around half the price it was a great deal. The one negative was that they didn't have any Asian beers at all. HOLA! Tacos & Cantina This is what pushed me over the edge to writing this. We ordered various tacos, machos, burritos etc. The food and service were generally good. However, one person ordered two pork tacos and felt they each tasted strange after one bite. I had one and my wife had the other. I was sure the one I had tasted of lamb and the one my wife had looked like beef which she doesn't eat. We also had these funded which has chorizo in it and the chorizo tasted more like hot dog to me. After much discussion I called over the waiter and asked if the pork dishes were not pork. He said, ah yes, they had removed the pork to keep the kitchen halal. I was absolutely appalled that they would do this but not change the menu. What if people don't eat lamb or beef. We called over the manager and he said that the waiter should have told us, but I am not convinced that they weren't trying to keep it quiet. I said the chorizo didn't taste right, it tasted more like sausage. He said it was beef chorizo! I asked that the misdescribed foods be taken off the bill, which they did with no argument, but very strenuously pointed out that the menus should be reprinted with the correct listings. I was very unhappy about having someone else religion imposed on me. I wouldn't want this happening with any religion. Stupidly, as the menus have not been reprinted and they are not advertising what they have done, I doubt anyone would be taking advantage of the halal kitchen anyway. Conclusion I didn't expect it to be as good as Star Class and it is not, but it is a fair amount cheaper. We could pay to eat in specialty restaurants every night to make the price and experience more similar. For me I would probably swap the nicer room for better service and I feel that considering the difference in price between an OS/RS and a YC inside, they might offer those rooms something more. To be fair, the butler has been doing a good job. The YC restaurant dinner was a massive let down, I will report back to see if it is better next time. I am quite annoyed about the change to the pork in the taco restaurant and will probably escalate my complaint.
  24. Hi, A couple of questions - 1. Do you provide COVID vaccination data when you board? There does not seem to be any way to provide it beforehand. 2. Our YC tickets give a check in time of 0900-1000, but we plan to check in at around 1600 so we can do things in Dubai in the morning. I assume this is not a problem in YC, it also says that embarkation closes two hours before departure which would be 2100. Thanks
  25. Has anyone managed to make any specialty restaurant bookings for Europa pre cruise? They do not appear in the cruise planner when I look on line and the app hangs up when I select plan and book specialty restaurants. You can see the restaurants under venues, but not book anything.
