Hello, I'm preparing for my first NCL cruise (Ignore signature. I need to update it as that NCL cruise was canceled, but forget how...lol). It's on Pride of America and departs this Saturday...cannot wait!

I am starting to think about packing. Should I pack anything other than casual clothes (like a suit)? I understand that NCL is freestyle so I didn't think there would be a formal night but then I read the following in an NCL link from an email that they sent:

"DRESS FOR THE EVENT

Our newest event, Norwegian's Night Out, is the perfect opportunity to get dressed up for an evening of cocktails, fine dining and great entertainment. You may also want to pack an all-white ensemble for our iconic White Hot Party."

What are Night Out and White Hot Party? Are these events during dinner (so I'll need a suit and white outfit for dinner on these nights)? If so, do most people participate?

I'd greatly appreciate your observations/experiences, especially from those of you who have recently sailed POA.

Sorry that happened to you. But i doubt that they made deployment changes based on a few solos booking cheap cabins.

 

 

Some of us got cheap deals in March and looks like those are still good to go.

 

I wonder if some of the changes ( the cancellations) were due to a charter.

 

Will let you know if i get anything from them re: march booking.

Well I just cancellation notice for my March 21, 2014 solo booking at the great price. Email sites deployment changes and says that I can move deposit to another cruise between January 1 and March 31, 2014.

Was there a specific promo you ask for or just past guest promo?

It's called the VIP promotion. However, if you just ask if your past cruises on other lines count toward a discount the person should know what you are talking about.

, , if I have past cruises on Carnival how do I connect it when creating a Princess account?

My understanding is that you have to call customer service and they give you the discount while booking/modifying reservation. You then have to fax in proof of a past completed cruise.

Then it must have to do with my Captains Circle status. I think I'm Platinum. Even without the extra discount, it's a great price.

Yes, the extra $50 discount is due to being a Captains Circle member. I believe any status. This is my first Princess cruise so I am not a member. However, I called and found out that this cruise qualifies for the VIP promotion which gives the $50 discount for past cruises on cruise lines owned by same parent company (e.g., Carnival and Cunard).

I logged onto the celebrity website, registered the cruise under my celebrity, and within a couple of hours it showed up with the cabin number.

 

Concierge is showing up as sold out for this cruise.

I had my TA switch me from a C3 where I selected the room to an Aqua guarantee for my May 31 cruise on last Saturday. My booking isn't showing a room assignment yet online. I guess I will have to be patient a little longer. Maybe it will be soon since they just eliminated the option for an Aqua guarantee.

Hi everyone

 

Can you please advise. I recently booked a XC category cabin on celebrity equinox for a cruise on 29th may 2013, when I booked I was informed that as it was a guarantee cabin, the stateroom may be allocated at any time, even just before sailing. I was shocked to see that within a couple of hours of booking I had been allocated a stateroom, my question is, is this stateroom final, or can it still be changed at anytime.
