  1. Thanks for all the replies great fun reading them all - wait for it to stop especially made me chuckle :D:').

Almost packed and ready to go and very much looking forward to our cruise on Allure (first time FL and Allure) and especially looking forward to whatever the weather brings :D:D

  2. Ok I’m after suggestions. I’m quite happy whatever the weather happens to be but we have booked a cruise in the ‘rainy season’ - what do you do when it rains ?

Still go to the beach regardless / wander about in the rain getting wet (no coat - never take one to the Caribbean!) / find a quite corner to read and people watch or put the drinks package to good use :D:D.

    Just wondering :)

  3. Wine up to $12 per glass. Show your card to get fresh squeezed OJ.

Thanks Bob, I’ve been looking at the wine price lists posted by other members and noticed that a lot are over $12 - will I still be able to order those but just pay the extra.

    Thanks Gill

  4. Not forgetting the sometimes overlooked daily 'shooter' at dinner! Mostly Baileys based, but included in your drinks package. I've put them in the after dinner coffee before now too ha ha

Oh I like that idea :D. We’ve booked a drinks package for the first time - sailing on Allure in a few weeks time. How does the wine work - is it all wine selection up to a certain $ or only a select few by the glass? Also fresh OJ - if having breakfast in MDR do you have to show your card to get the proper stuff !

    Thanks

  5. Hi Gill,

Yes the discount was advertised. Not sure how often it happens but it could be because there were 1800 kids on board and the restaurants were empty every night. We did Chops, 150 and Giovanni's. I did do the beach and snorkel excursion through RCCL in St. Maarten that was excellent. I believe that it was 3 hours and it was perfect amount of time. The martini bar would be the champagne bar. You can get martinis at almost all of the bars. Hope that this helps feel free to ask anything else. Enjoy your trip it will be great.

Thanks for great info. What are your thoughts on Labadee - I have seen a couple of video clips and read several reviews about rocky beach under zip line, very crowded at Columbus cove and lots of comments about the market !! There are lots who say it is brilliant and others who would rather stay on the ship. I know everyone is different but just curious as to your view and what you did.

    Thanks Gill

  6. Hi the 50% off sounds interesting was it widely advertised or did you have to do some searching? Was it for all restaurants we are interested in Samba Grill, Chops Grille - we were going to book the bogo offer. Did you go on any organised excursions at the ports - we were thinking of the 6 hour boat ride and snorkel round the island at St Maartin. Is there a dedicated martini bar on board? What are your top 3 must do on Allure.

    Thanks for any info.

  7. Warning to other fans of Wine Flights. The choices have been reduced to just 5, and none of those include Ice Cuvee, which I understand is very popular. Also, the measures have been reduced from 3 x 125ml to 3 x 100ml, even though Horizon states 125ml. Oh, and the price of each wine flight seems to have increased also. We were very disappointed.

That is a shame, we love the glass house - do you remember if they still had Little Eden on the menu - I had a look at the wine menu on the web site, but alas i couldn’t find it !!! It looks as if we will have to start at the beginning again ha ha

  8. I have been looking at new menu and don't see chateaubriand on either menu - has any one been on Azura recently - is it still an option.

Also trying to find out if glass house still has Little Eden moscato available - it became a favourite after trying it on one of their wine tastings :D

    Thanks for any info
