I sent email to Celebrity Executive complaining about any plans to allow vaping. Within 72 hours had phone call from someone in the Executive Office asking me to describe my concerns on a recorded conversation that would be shared with the decision makers. I worked hard to state my concerns in a calm clear way but did state that I absolutely will not sail with a cruise line that allows smoking or vaping in the casino.

I, too, email the Exec. office. I received an email stating that, while this was a trial, they saw no issues. Clearly, the just don’t care.

The new President has made some strange moves..this is one of them.

  2. We were in cabin 10231, December 11, 2022.. Aqua Class IV cabin..same exact cracking noises. They began around 11 p.m., the first night of the cruise. we put our AirPods and white noise on…no help.

I reported it to Guest Relations the next morning they sent someone to listen and look. When I spoke with them later in the day, they acknowledged that this was an issue….no surprise.  The were quite apologetic and kind..offered us the interior cabin across the hall, as a place to sleep.  It was a simple solution, and we had two cabins🤣.  The sounds continued throughout the 7 night cruise. Seas were a little rocky at first, but the current was very strong. The only quiet moments were when in port.
We met senior officers during our cruise and discussed this with each of them. We were told that they are aware of this, it impacts some cabins, not others, and that the ship builders were aboard, trying to problem solve.

We loved this ship, but are wary of booking it again for the near future.

I'm with you on this.  I understand that things are changing, but when your final payment is the end of March and you are scheduled to leave for Europe the 21st of June and board your ship 2 July, you really feel like you would like to have just a bit of clarity.  You can have all the patience in the world, but it's too late after you have paid the cash which is one of the reasons I was hoping that Celebrity would extend final payment for us passengers cruising this summer.  We're hoping the third time is a charm with this cruise because we really want to go, but wow there is still so much unknown.

We sailed Reflection last in December of 2017. The maître d in Blu at that time was a gentleman name Ante. He was far and away the best maître d we've ever encountered on any of our cruises. The staff and passengers all seemed to respond favorably to him and he had Blu running the most efficiently I've ever seen. He was everywhere and doing everything and led by example. I did read somewhere on this thread that he'd been promoted (well deserved) so sadly the staff in Blu won't be the same and I can't imagine it could be any better.

I can tell you that the staff in Blu this past September was outstanding!  Two women, both professional, personable and well liked by all..can’t go wrong with Blu 🙂

We sailed with Captain Skylogiennes and Hotel Director Arjan Scheepers back in February 2018 on the Reflection.  Did a B2B2B in an lowly outside cabin and we are just Elite.  Arjan was very gracious and outgoing.  We were very surprised to be invited to a huge luncheon with the captain and staff including suite folks and Zenith members.  It was his doing.  That was an amazing cruise.

Thanks for the update.  It will be nice to experience someone new...or not new! We love our times aboard and enjoy ourselves whoever is the CD.

We sailed the Reflection in September..will be on again in December..Dan was  a good CD and we had some great entertainment..any ideas as to if the Blu staff would be the same?

  6. I really don't care for any religion, however, I do respect the rules if I go into a religious building. I find it rude and disrespectful those that don't. Is it a hardship to wear the correct clothing? No, it isn't.

It's also disrespectful to be laughing and joking around with selfie sticks, but I see it in many European places of worship.

Agreed, on all counts! I am always appalled to see selfie sticks being used in houses of worship, historical cemeteries, etc.

  7. We love Celebrity, but had some issues on our last cruise..Infinity, Holiday, South America.

I tried to resolve them on ship-spoke with Customer Relations, etc- and got nowhere.

Finally, I posted on the FB page.

Three days later, received a call asking how they could help.

One Touch contacted us upon our return home, as well.

Who knows if they really pay attention?!

  8. There was a comfort dog walking through Michael’s Club on Equinox last night. As the bartender was pouring our wine at the bar the owner said “Give me some water” as she stuck out a small bowl.

As we left.. I get watery eyes and sneeze attacks, the dog was sitting on the sofa licking up the water. The pair were still there two hours later so we just kept on walking..

I am dismayed to read this post...so much for YOUR comfort or anyone else who has the bad luck to sit on that sofa after this “comfort dog”.
