Just logged in to my Princess site & manage your cruise.

When I scrolled down, there were lots of areas like dining, excursions, etc.

There was one about bidding for an upgrade. When I clicked on that, it said lets get started & when i clicked on that...it showed my original bids & status.

I have heard a lot of these bids get accepted or not about 30 days before sailing. We are about 38 days out but my curiosity was getting the best of me. I wanted to check to see if they were 'rejected'

earlier this year I had a bid pending for an upgrade.  I got notice I did not get it ( via email), the day I boarded the ship.  Personally, I think they leave it pending, just incase you want to up your bid.

On the owner suite bid it said cancel or modify

on the penthouse bid there was no longer a place to either cancel or up the bid...just pending

By any chance can you message me the agency because I don’t think we can post it. Thanks

If you look at my profile you will see that I got a 'reminder' years ago. That was for posting the name of an agency. When i first got it, they sent me a nasty message saying if I did it again that I would be barred from cruise critic !

SO....my suggestion is to just google internet travel agency's.

I am sure within the first half dozen you will find one that can help you out.

  5.    Our cruise is in the beginning of February.

Upper suites have appeared to be sold out for a very long time but.....

I was given the opportunity to bid on an owners suite & a penthouse suite.

I bid on both a few weeks ago.

Just out of curiosity I just went back to check on my bids.

The owners suite says to either cancel or modify the bid.

The penthouse bid says PENDING !

Makes me think I just might be getting a penthouse    :O)

    What do you think ?

Recently we've been sailing Celebrity in a Suite so received Retreat benefits but looking to make a change and try the new Sun Princess in a Signature Suite.  We've sailed Princess in the past so we're Platinum, but its been a long time.  I understand that there's a separate restaurant, sundeck etc for suites, but was wondering if automatically includes any other benefits such as beverage package/tips/wifi?  Celebrity has done the upgraded beverage package/upgraded wifi/tips.  Or is it a la carte no matter what room you book?

    Thank you!

No special restaurant that I know of !

  7. I use a big internet travel agency.

Just enter all the cruise info.....date, ship, etc.

then I click on the particular category cabin....inside,outside,balcony, etc.

then it will show every cabin available in that category AND location !

  8.   On the blog for my particular cruise, people are already booking the 360 dining experience.

Not sure but I assume they are paying.

We are in a suite & the app wants me to pay the full price. I have spoken to 3 different people at Princess.

2 say it is no longer a suite perk. The third says to wait until you are onboard.

I want to assume the first 2 people are wrong.

My issue about waiting until we are onboard is that I want the early dining. We are old & can not eat late..

I know seating is very limited & if I wait until we are onboard, all the early dining slots might be gone.

    Any advice ??

HOU is about 40 miles and IAH is 70 miles.  IAH is located on the far north side of Houston requiring a drive through the center of Houston and commonly called Intercontinental or Bush..  HOU is on the near south side in a not too nice of an area and is mainly used by SWA  and named Hobby.  Hobby is the original Houston airport before Intercontinental was built..

We did Hobby because it was closer...horrible. 95 % Southwest. Probably not bad if you were flying on them.

We were on American. ONE checkin counter were the lady was absolutely horrible & we had no one else to talk to. I think Delta also had only counter checkin.

I found the airport confusing...I am old. & had tsa precheck. There was the TSA (?) person before you got to the xray machines. I was confused & asked him which line was for precheck. He acted like I was putting him out & nastily said...all lines end at the same place. So ,of course, I got in a wrong line In had to take my shoes off, etc.

  10. We are cruising in February out of Los Angeles.

We are in a suite & have the plus package.  We have previously cruised 3 times since they started the Medallion with no problem.

I know they will not put you in the 'green' line with getting it delivered..

When trying to finish up everything....it says that delivery is NOT an option.

We are just getting the standard one.

    any ideas why ?
