I'm opn the ship now, it's Nadja and Cecilia
Thank you very much, your response was one of the few replies that were actually helpful, vs just snarky remarks.

As they say, there's a group for this info. (Who are They?)
Sources say: Nadja and Cece
As I said, it was not readily findable.

Hello CC - Can someone please tell me the names of the two Allure suite concierges? We will be sailing on Dec. 15, and would like to contact them ahead of time for reservations. I checked the master thread for current concierges, but the spreadsheet seems to be outdated. TIA.

Re the MDR food, taste is subjective but I found potion sizes tended to be less than before, on my Sep 24 cruise. The vegetarian stuffed mushroom was just one portabello with a thin layer of stuffing, nothing else. I had to add the fried chicken entree and that was two tiny pieces. Steak sizes were ok though.
We typically order two entrees each in the MDR to avoid this. It's not an upcharge, so why not, right?

I ended up just using it to buy a $250 OBC. Combined with the promo OBC I received from my TA when I booked, I will now have over $500 in OBC. This is in addition to a dining credit for one dinner at any specialty restaurant.

I'd bet there is small print, something like doesnt apply to suites. I would read the small print first... and then dream about a upgrade. .. or the points cover a portion of the price.
Thank you. I am leaning toward just using it toward an OBC, which would be around $250-$300. I already have a $250 OBC from my TA, so combined it would be $500. I will then use it for the beverage packages on our 3-night cruise.

I have a BOA RCI credit card with about 30k points on it. One of the redemption options is to use those points for a stateroom upgrade. My question here is, if I used it to upgrade my stateroom, what would be the next stateroom up from a 1 BR Grand Suite on Allure of the Seas?

FYI once you apply the Visa's OBC, you can't get a price adjustment/ further discount applied per RC and my travel agent. I had it applied several months before the final payment date and learned the hard way.
That is okay. I am past final payment date anyway, so I wouldn't be getting a price discount/adjustment. Thank you though.

Called who? Royal or BOA?

Hi All - I have enough points on my RCI BOA credit card to redeem for a $250 OBC. We are sailing on Allure of the Seas in December, and I would like to convert the points to an OBC to be used on this cruise. I am on the redemption portal, and am about to cash in the points for the OBC. My question is, how do I get this OBC applied to my upcoming Allure sailing? Thank you.

https://www.royalcaribbean.com/plan-a-cruise/transportation#travelProtection1 Royal Caribbean Travel Protection is an optional travel protection add-on to your cruise booking and is available through Royal Caribbean for residents in all states except New York. New York state residents who wish to purchase the product may visit https://travelcruisecare.com to enroll directly with Aon Affinity. If added, your Royal Caribbean Travel Protection plan is not effective until the plan cost has been paid. Plan cost is not automatically included as part of your initial cruise deposit.
I am sorry that I can't be of more help to you. If you have a question about it, I would call RCI directly to ask. Again, apologies that I can't be of assistance.

I didn’t think you could buy through the cruise line for New York? Has that changed?
I don't know what the original rule was, but we purchased via RCI. They are aware of us living in NY, and were told the only thing it won't cover is cancellation (by us) for no reason.
-
Thanks, all. We purchased through Royal Carribean. It covered the most and provided the largest reimbursement rates.

The issue with insurance is that if you want certain coverages, ie Cancel for Any Reason, and Pre-Existing conditions coverage is that it must be purchased usually within 2 weeks of initial deposit. Seeing that you are claiming to be from NY, I don't believe you are allowed coverage for cancel for any reason due to state law.
There is an insurance forum right here on CC that should be able to assist.
Got it - thank you very much. We aren't planning to cancel - it's more if the itinerary is changed due to a hurricane, we would likely want to reschedule.
-
To be honest, I am not sure. I booked through Cruises & More. Do you have an insurance company that you have used?
-
Hi RCI family - Question about cruise insurance. How late after booking can it be purchased? We have a cruise in December, and I was thinking it might be a good idea to buy it. However, I seem to remember hearing that it needs to be bought within the first 48 hours after booking. Can anyone clarify for me? I reached out to my TA, but haven't heard back. TIA.

Pesky Parrot sounds like it will be an improvement to the Bionic Bar in my opinion although we loved the Champagne Bar. We are sailing on AL B2B after she comes to Port Canaveral so we'll enjoy the Champagne Bar while it's still on the ship.
Same! We sail December 15 on Allure out of Canaveral.

While that was in the original Amplification plan, I think it's run it's course and there's at least some chance that they may not put the Bionic Bar in. However, I am positive that the Champagne Bar is not long for this world. My guess, they might replace it with the Pesky Parrot like on Utopia, if there's enough space for it.
That's good to hear. I'd take the Pesky Parrot over a robot bar. I feel like the Bionic Bar is sort of gimmicky. Go there once to say you did it, but no one actually hangs out there for an extended period of time. We loved the Bamboo Room on Mariner, and Pesky Parrot sounds like an improved version of it.

In a suite you still get twice daily housekeeping and they will deliver the paper Compass in the evening. If you see a paper Compass in your suite when you arrive then you will get one each day, otherwise ask the attendant or concierge. I also saw copies in the Diamond Lounge.
Great to know. Thank you.

I’m reading numerous ‘rumours’ that she may finally be amplified in 2025 for the summer season in Europe, I’m new to this and was reading that she was meant to be done pre Covid. Was reading today that some are suggesting her amplification may be changed slightly from the last time and she may get some of the same new features that are on Utopia. I assumed because the amplification was pulled last minute all the ‘parts’ would be sitting waiting. What do you think?
I really hope they don't remove the Champagne Bar, and replace it with that waste of space Bionic Bar.

We requested a paper copy from the room steward and it was delivered the night before each day, even though we had morning room service. Getting one the day is hit or miss, even at guest service.
That's a good call, we will do that. We like the paper copy better. We leave our phones in the room on cruises, for the most part. We are in a Grand Suite on Allure in December, and will have to remember to do that. Did you find that it was reliably delivered to you the night before each evening?
-
Did they deliver a paper copy of the Cruise Compass in your room each day? If not, did you request a paper copy?

Thanks everyone for your responses.

Hi All - We are sailing on Allure of the Seas on December 15, 2023 to December 18. Looking at booking our return flight in the afternoon of December 18 out of Orlando airport. What are everyone's thoughts on making a 2 PM flight that day? We are staying in a suite, so we get priority disembarkation. However, I want to make sure that is enough time, assuming no traffic delays. TIA

Does anyone have a paper copy of a recent 3 or 4 night Cruise Compass from Allure that they can share? I know I can see stuff on the app., but I also like seeing the paper copies too (call me old school). Thank you in advance.
