Does Ocean House have the same menu both days? We are there overnight.

We will be sailing from Port Canaveral so everyone will get on there. I wonder if they have a special lunch in the states? Celebrity has lobster rolls on embarkation day in the retreat, but I understand MSC does that at their private island.

9 hours is a long time!

I think I could sleep well in business class as well, but that’s not in the cards. Lol We were set on PE but our friends had us reconsidering. I just can’t imagine sleeping sitting up for any amount of time. At least AA PE seats recline a bit which would be helpful. I still think we would be much more comfortable in PE than economy.

Thanks! I just checked myself and it looks like we will have enough to buy both legs with miles in economy or one leg with miles and one with cash, for each of us using our individual cards. Our friends are planning on using miles and flying economy, said it's not a big deal. I can't imagine sitting in those little seats that long. She said they book the exit row and get both get isle seats, get up and walk around a little and they also sleep several hours. Is this too far to travel economy? I know many people do, but how uncomfortable is it? Also, if we were to buy economy tickets with miles, is it an option to pay cash for an upgrade to PE? Is Premium Economy that much more comfortable than economy?

What? They have bumped people out of the YC?

I’ve always heard they are very expensive so I’ve never really looked at them. I did try one time to price one of them but didn’t see any pricing on their website.

Could easily happen if it’s their first cruise with them because they wouldn’t know it’s not the norm. Or is it? We have some cruise options picked out I’m case we like it while onboard. If not, we won’t book again.

How would a guest know if they were in the YC or not?

So for my husband and I we would get $500 in OBC if we book another deluxe suite onboard? My TA is trying to get us to book now but we are waiting to get these benefits! Her commission is the same, correct?

Would you happen to know how much OBC we would get for booking a deluxe suite? Does everyone get $50 for being in their VC or only the top tier? Is that Diamond? Do you also get double loyalty points?

You are very fortunate to have traveled to Europe so much! I’ve waited for this my whole life!! I know that’s contributing to my indecisiveness. I want it to be as perfect as possible because I don’t know that we will ever go back. While this is my dream vacation, my husband has places he’s always wanted to see too.

One of the things I look forward to most about retirement is being able to travel off season! I think it has been established that I overthink/over analyze everything. 🤪 Being a teacher, my travel options are limited to peak seasons. I only have 6 more years and then we can travel whenever we want!
