Correct and correct. I think, if any goes, it will be Navigator and they will reuse the name for a new ship. We will know for sure when the rest of 2026 cruises are announced.
Many of us will miss the smaller guest count that Navigator has.

On the Feb Grandeur Caribbean run,
we stopped in St.Barts as well.
Didn’t know this had been an issue…
November Mariner also stopped there. I really don’t see the big deal anyway.

Thank y’all for the info. 😀

I’m confused. It says it cannot be combined with any other offer. So, if you already have some obc, is it worthless?

I still love my little Navigator ❤️

Good Morning Dubai!
You may notice I’ve been absent for a few days. My husband fractured his femur and we disembarked today. He has had multiple implants and injuries to his leg. The Orthopedic surgeon in Dubai felt it was too difficult a procedure. We will make the 20 plus hour flight back to LA tomorrow. I will update you when I can.The crew on this cruise was top notch! The cream of the crop! Every single one of them. We will miss them all!

Nino! Love him!
Shameer with Dear Patrick…love him too and Ross sitting to my right.
The best GM and F&B ever! Massimo and Nino
We met some great people on board. I will definitely miss them too. I told Patrick @MarinerLad to keep up the blog! He had tea at the Burj! Love to all. Crisy
Oh my! I’m so sorry. I hope you had Medjet to help you get home. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

On our first Alaska cruise which was in August, it sleeted on us at Hubbard glacier. Gloves and hat absolutely necessary.

Or after 6PM as long as you are not in public eating/drinking areas. I.e.. You can sit on the deck with a drink and watch the stars and not be "dressed".
Very true.

We have done 2 Aug/sept and 1 May….nope.

It’s gotten to the point we have decided NOT to cruise on these types of cruises anymore. No more Caribbean or Panama Canal cruises for us.

They try to but there was a lot of availability in segments for 2024.
I’ve always been hesitant to go on a world segment…I think it would be such a different vibe.

Do they ever sell out whole ship for world cruisers or do they only sell a certain percentage?

Got an offer in September 2023 for Explorer Alaska cruise. Postpone until May 2024 and receive a discount which was equivalent to about 50% of the total fare. We were going with friends so did not take the offer but it was tempting, both for the discount and going at a time likely to have better weather. That would usually tell me that they were very sold out, but then 5 days before sailing we were offered a fabulous deal to upgrade from Concierge Suite to Explorer Suite! They apparently wanted to sell the cheaper cabins. The cruise was sold out but did not feel crowded in any way other than an inability to get additional specialty restaurant seatings beyond the three we had reserved.
Did you take the Explorer Suite and how did you like it?

Whether it's a Flybus or a Regent-arranged bus, it's a bus. The luggage goes into the same storage area on the bus. If you need the "luxury" of a private car, there are plenty of options for that too, but you still have to schlep the bags to the car.
Since when do we “schlep”….we roll 😀

Thank you 😊
One of my concerns is once we sail Grandeur, it might be a tough call to sail on a ship that will be old enough to be her mother
Enjoy your upcoming Explorer cruise
I think when you first walk on, it will be a shock. Then couple days later all is good 😀. You will feel the advantages Navigator has…at least in the opinion of many (including me).

We are in direct viewing area. We got our glasses months ago and made sure we got the REAL deal. You have to be careful to not get counterfeit.

Wonder if this is the first time they have been in Reykjavik in and out? Maybe they have been there as visiting a port but not needing hotel and transfers.
Although if so, they should have know a while ago that they could not block enough rooms
No, they have had many cruises start in Reykjavik. I was on one years ago.

Not sure if this was the same cruise but here is someone’s report from the February cruise in the French Polynesia: “We had a rough ride getting to Bora Bora, a tender port. Captain came on at 0730 to say it would be impossible to tender. It is raining buckets and high swells. So we are sailing to Pago Pago. This is our 5th missed port.”
That was on Mariner on the world cruise.

I just missed a cruise due to illness. They have sent a credit to cc for taxes. Haven’t gotten the cc statement yet. TA notified them a couple days before cruise.
Taxes and fees….that is what TA said.

I have never smelt smoke while on our balcony and I can smell it a mile away. On our first Regent cruise about 12 years ago, a young couple kept smoking on balcony. They were warned to stop or they would be put off the ship. Apparently, they continued one more time. Security showed up to escort them off. That got through to them and they were given one more chance. They behaved after that.
This same couple was proudly showing shots of a whale they took in Juneau with a beautiful blue sky. Juneau had been rainy all day. It was a pic of a pic in brochure. 😜
