Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Missing you already. Hope you had safe travels home and that Jim has a complete recovery. Thanks for creating a wonderful pictorial journal of our trip and for your nightly smiles and friendship. Fondly, Patrick and Ross ❤️🚢☘️🌈
  2. Cruisin7 has started a wonderful live blog about our cruise with beautiful pics and insightful commentary. It can be found at this link: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2982972-world-cruise-2024/ So many of my family and friends have asked for reports, insights, pictures and so forth about my trip. Alas, this isn’t my expertise so it’s great to just have them follow me along with this blog. It will also give us all a digital recap of this once in a lifetime adventure. Bravo Cruisin7 👏🏼👏🏼
  3. We are also onboard. Thank you so much for doing this. Your pics are great and will create a memorable recap of the journey for us and our family and friends. Hope to meet you in person as the adventure unfolds.
  4. Beautiful! Can you ask them to keep the decorations up until a few days after the World Cruise Gala? 😀
  5. Starting this as a new topic because I’m interested in being able to easily locate current comments from people recently on or currently on the Mariner. Thanks for your input and insights, compliments and complaints … I look forward to hearing from fellow travelers.
  6. Mariner Cabin #949 - We took a nine day cruise out of Los Angeles in this Concierge shower/tub cabin. This was our first time on Regent and we wanted to test it out as we were already booked in #949 for 132 days on the 2024 World Cruise. The test passed with flying colors. The cabin was larger and nicer than we expected. Some of the You Tube videos on Mariner Concierge suites don’t really do it justice. We were wary of the shower/tub combo because of negative comments on CC but we actually enjoyed having the option. The cabin temperature was very well regulated and everything was in working order including the plumbing. The walk in closet is wonderful and having the curtain available to separate the “bedroom” from the “den” when one person is sleeping and the other reading or watching TV was a great touch. The individual reading lights over the bed are also a nice feature. The only downside was that we would have preferred individual chairs in the “den” to the rather crowded loveseat style sofa. The bottom line is that we are looking forward to another four and a half months in #949. After that long, we may have a different update! 😱🤣
  7. I’ve recently been thinking about how the most important memories I have after a cruise revolve around the people I’ve met. Often those connections have been made at a shared meal. Dining together gives people a real opportunity to really get to know each other better, discuss life aboard the ship, upcoming ports, past cruises and so forth. Do you think it would be possible to talk the maitre d’ at Compass Rose into having one large (perhaps seating for 10) table set aside each evening for something like this? The idea would be like an Open Table at Starbucks. People, when in the mood for fellowship with new people, would just ask to sit at the “Open Table” on a first come first serve basis. We might even call it the “Cruise Critic Table”. Would anyone else be interested in something like this or is it just me?
  8. Just wanted to join the chorus and thank you for your witty, insightful and helpful commentaries. We are on the Regent 2024 WC and this will be by far the longest journey we have ever taken. We feel much better equipped to do this because we have been with you in spirit every day of your cruise. 👏🏼 Patrick☘️ and Ross
  9. Thanks Bill and Maryann .. but unfortunately I followed the link and it did take me to your blog but when I clicked on the pictures link it still gave me the message that my request for access could not be sent. It’s so strange because I’m using the same email address and search engine I’ve always used to follow your travels. Grateful I have the narratives but really miss the pictures. Patrick☘️
  10. Hello Bill and Maryanne. I am loving once again following your blog on your website. Unfortunately, unlike on your previous trips, I’m not able to see the pictures when I click on that link. I’m asked to request access and then told “request for access can’t be sent”. Is there a way around this? Thanks. Patrick☘️
