  1. Wow! Thanks so much for getting this out here to the CCL folks that are about to sail there! I have been scouring all over to find out what Carnival has in store for us there.

We will be going there in November of this year, on the Fascination.

Am I getting this right? Carnival will provide the lunch for free?

    I was wondering about that.

Any way it will be so much fun to go there, I can't wait. We have our own snorkel gear, and vest too.

Great Review and pictures! Again Thank You Soooooooo Much!

  2. We love Maaaaaah-see-moe Mah-reeeeeeeno, "Fron dee breetge"

Cant wait to hear that voice again :D

    We Love Maaaaaaah-see-moe too:D

We just sailed the Dream for the third time, May 11th.

The 1st time was in Feb. 2nd, 2010, and Maaaah-see-moe was Captain back then too.

Love those Cove Balconies, we had to have one every time!

  5. We did not see one when we sailed 2 weeks ago and there was no mention of it in the Fun Times that I saw.

I did read that the laser show is no more:confused:

We have been on the Dream two times, and both times we did get to enjoy the show. My DH is a big fan of Pink Floyd, and their music was part of the show. We thought it was cool. The Dream was the only CCL ship to have the laser show.

We will be sailing her again in about 23 days, even though no laser show, we Love this ship:D

By gone days, at the laser show on the Beautiful Dream:cool:

  6. Where do you suggest leaving your "stuff" if you don't pay $40 at Infinity for a chair? Just wondering what to do with it while we are snorkeling or where is a cheaper place to rent a chair but still close to that area? Thanks in advance!

We did the Tabyana beach break, thru Carnival, and they had lockers you could rent. I think they were $3 each. Worked like a charm for us. Can't wait to go back in March & May of 2013. Snorkel Heaven:eek:

  7. We were there on CCL Dream May 2nd, we did the Tabyana Beach Break through Carnival. I was like a kid in a candy shop! Never have I had so much fun. We bought our own snorkel gear and man o man, I did not want to leave. Can't wait to go back next year. By the way the Monkey La La's were the bomb!

Thanks to all on this thread for the great info!

  8. Just off the ship for the Thanksgiving cruise. Some observations...

FINALLY platinum and the embarkation was wonderful. Got there at 10:15am and went to the priority office. Yes, it was a separate office with a desk and lemon water. Given zone #1 and sat in a separate area. Then at 10:30 moved to another area. Escorted to the ship at 10:45 and were on board at 10:55. Very civilized...actually heaven.

The pasta bar is actually a separate restaurant and was great. People didn't even discover it until the third day.

The Tandoori grill, aft by the pool, was the best. Try the pineapple and tomato relish. It was great on the flat bread. Ate there every day,

The comedy lounge in the Burgandy lounge was beautiful. Get there 30 minutes before the shows, as it is standing room only. They were excellent

The Jumbotron movie screen by the main pool was quite entertaining. During the morning hours there is a guy who comes by with the bloody Mary cart. Watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade has never been this much fun!!

The Steakhouse was worth every penny. The ribeye steak was the best!! Wonderful, attentive service. We went on the first night and received a free bottle of wine.

I've been on forty cruises and never have I felt a ship rock and roll this much. Could have been because we were in the Eastern Caribbean and the time of year. It didn't bother me but bring seasick meds just in case.

The Cove balconies were awesome. We were in 2288 and never heard any noise except for the waves. The beds were...think cave balcony and the Flintstones and you will get the picture. No Carnival Dream bed here.

I was not impressed with the area called the Lanai on deck five. It had those glass partitions all around the sides and seemed very claustrophobic. The BBQ lunch was overdone burgers. The Mayo and cole slaw were not on ice and did not look appetizing. There are plenty of other places to eat.

Crimson deck four was for anytime dining and our service and the food was outstanding. We waited one night for 45 minutes but were seated right away the other nights

Did not think the ship felt crowded at all. Maybe it was the motion of the ocean

Would go again in a heartbeat. The cruise renewed my faith in carnival for delivering a great product for a Budget price

Try the new menu.....I think you will be surprised. Happy sailing!!!

We were in the same cabin in '10, and will be in it again in April of '12.

Love those Coves! Breakfast in the Cove was wonderful:D

  9. Yeah, no reason you should have to, either. I mean, unless you're asking people to carry it for you, what's it to anyone else?

Oh, wait a minute--you don't give Mickey his own pool chair, do you?????

Hey, Floyd got his own chair:cool:

Wait! before you guys flame me, the chair was on our balcony, see, I have proof. Poor Floyd got neglected after a while..
