I cannot get into the normal countdown area. No preferences for anything and now way to change staterooms. Is anyone else having issues?

You should get them after your last evening meal. Any time before that is a buzz kill! I hate seeing them, it means that it's time to get back to reality.

Doors that lead out to peek a boo bridge on both forward sides of the solarium pool. It is pretty cool to see. Normally nobody out there either.

In St Thomas now. Next S Croix,Antigua,S Lucia,Granada the one sea day back to San Juan.
Didn't get off ship today, been here before. Enjoying quiet pools.
BTW internet goes down more than it stays up.
Same route we are taking. Really looking forward to this live review.
I am probably not going to get internet.

Boarding on the 19th. Anxious to hear if you are on same route. Will be following either way!

Doesn't matter at that port much anyhow. Status doesn't mean anything they put people in the shortest line.

Where do I find this option? Or is it only for newer ships? Leave on adventure in a few weeks.
-
Four years ago, we booked a rental car. It was cheaper to park it at the hotel for the week than any other option we could find.
-
We enjoy the Marriott stellaris for the hotel, area and convenience. The caribe Hilton is another favorite though. Both nice hotels!

You will also have confirmation off the OBC when you get your cruise documents issued. It's normally around page 10.
-
ValerieJo you guys are a couple weeks ahead of us this year. Ang and I leave March 19. Adventure this time.
-
I have never had a bad meal on a royal ship. If I don't like one course I order a different menu item.
-
I'm following because I want to know if it's worth the cost. Cruising in March and I have always wanted to add on the tour.

This was a great review to read. We will be on Adventure in March. We sailed her once before in 2010. I have read a lot of negative reviews recently. It's nice to hear an honest review by someone that can look past some of the little things.

River tubing and zip line in Jamaica with tour of plantation.
Nothing in labadee worth the money.
Cozumel there are some great catamaran snorkel tours with beach visit. Picks up right at the pier.

Bistro burger is my favorite! We get breakfast every morning too. Just be very specific. Checking the box does not mean an order of something. It means one. One creamer. One bacon. So on.

Thank you for this post! We have thought about giving carnival a try. I just don't think it would work for us. We are late 20's and early 30's. We enjoy royal very much and will remain loyal.

Caribe Hilton is very nice and the price just dropped quite a bit.
-
The luggage tag holders sold on this site are great! Better than using a stapler or tape in my opinion. Putting them in the holders a few weeks before a cruise gets me even more excited.
-
They always seem to offer specials toward the end of every cruise. Fill a bag to wash for a flat rate. No worries.
-
I would pick option #1 just to go on a calabaza sailing cruise in Barbados. I almost did the same itinerary two cruises in a row just for that reason. DW shot down that idea.
-
In my cruises click "modify" next to your name. From there you can pre pay them. Quick and easy.
-
Normally I get the bathroom sink and my DW gets the entire vanity in the room.

I always find these type of questions perplexing. What difference does it make to the cruiseline if people enjoy their cruise a little less as long as they keep taking them? RCCL is a corporate entity; profit-driven as is their fiduciary obligation to their shareholders.
I'm sure they spend more time reading their quarterly earnings reports than any feedback on a interweb message board. As long as customers just complain and "threaten" to stop buying the product instead of actually stopping, why would RCCL need to improve anything? The ships apparently sail virtually full and I'd imagine on-board revenue is still pretty robust and even showing room for "growth", hence the price increases.
I was thinking along the same terms. They slowly take away the things that cost them money. Ships still fill up so no worries there. Cut manpower=money in the bank. Ships still fill up...
As much as we want to believe they care about those of us that are loyal to the brand, the truth is we aren't their priority. New cruisers bring in revenue. They don't know any of the tricks to save money on cruises. They pay top dollar, book excursions through the ship, pay a fortune for spa items and gimmicks. They are the true money makers.
Now, if royal can make some rag tag program that makes people feel special (crown and anchor society) and keep coming back that's another win. People are all about status. The savings they give this "elite" group does not hurt the bottom line in any way. The gifts they give cost just pennies.
I don't claim to have any kind of business sense I'm just a public servant. I will continue to travel with royal Caribbean. Just seems to me that some things aren't worth a second thought. It's vacation. I can only afford to cruise once a year if I am lucky. I enjoy every second that I am simply able to get away.
Do any of the bars serve snacks during happy hour?
