The base price for our March 2016 cruise is less than what we paid for it. Since we booked during bogoho one of the premium drink packages was half off. Do we still keep that if we take advantage of the price drop?

We added ours on recently they didn't even ask for payment. Just added it right on. 8 of us did it separately no problems.

You didn't mention that you are a diamond member. And that these things don't happen to people of your c&a status.

We have been on both ships. Jewel was last year quite a nice looking ship with all the glass. In our opinion though there wasn't as much to do. So we just booked adventure. Not sure when you are planning but adventure is going to Barbados next year.

I think they come with your cruise documents electronically.

I have only cruised with royal and I can say you wouldn't hurt anyone by ordering the entire menu. That's will bring you up to like six items.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon on the freedom. They treat you very well. Be sure to attend the honeymoon celebration. Free gift, drink, cake.....

Do you have any photos of the hump balcony? We are booked for the same dates next year in stateroom 8624. Our group has most of the hump booked. Just wondering what the difference is. I had always heard they were good rooms so I booked just based on that.

The flight made the symptoms appear worse. Seeing a doctor would be your best bet. That way if it isn't just viral they can give you antibiotics to treat it. Just remember, the ship has a medical facility as well. Either way, it wouldn't keep me from getting on that ship!

For the on board credits you could register like it's your honeymoon and then buy credits for yourself. Also there is a gift card you can purchase and then apply to your booking. All under gifts and gear. The alcohol seems to be just champagne plus the two bottles of wine you can bring yourself.

Amy, do some research on Hawksbill Beach Resort. I have not been there however, it came recommended by a friend. About $15 from the ship to the beach. They have 4 beaches and they don't charge anything for entry. We cruise in March and I think we will be going here for the day.

I hope that's not the case I just bought the cheaper soda package for our cruise that leaves Saturday.

We are sailing on the JOS next month and I am trying to find the cheapest way to stay connected using my iPhone. We have a one year old at home and would like to receive daily photos of her and also know how she is doing with her grandparents. My phone is through Verizon. My question is: is it better to pay for the $30 global package or use wifi on the ship? Also if I purchase the global should I turn off iMessages or leave it on? We normally like to toss out phones in the stateroom safe and forget about them this time is a little bit different. Any help would be appreciated.

Even if you don't find the unlimited rides, the operators are very nice and it's cheap to ride again.

We stayed near the port. The country inn and suites has a free shuttle to the port. Free breakfast in the morning and free parking during your cruise. Right at the port are some great places to eat the night you get in. I went on Thrifty car rental daily, and I was able to get a car for the entire trip for cheaper than any airport shuttle or cab. It was nice to have a place to keep items we wouldn't need on the cruise. Also we used it to store our luggage post cruise prior to our flight. The hotel shuttle driver Dwayne was great. Gave us his cell number. We called him after the cruise. He was there in ten minutes to pick us up.

You mentioned during disembarkation being jammed in a small area. For some reason royal does that to all first timers. As soon as you cruise one time you are gold status and have a decent lounge to leave from. Our first cruise we were stuck in an ice rink for over an hour.

We usually purchase Early Bird for the return flight. The outgoing flight we're at home so we can do the *very exciting* 24-hour check in.
We've always gotten A boarding with the Early Bird, however, it is not guaranteed.
That's great advice!!

Polly, we sailed with you on Freedom in October of 2011. I know how much you love this cruise line. For you to say these things it must be true. I hope we have a better experience on the jewel in March.

We took a freedom cruise October of 2011. Same itinerary. We found the cheapest transportation option was to rent a car for 9 days out of Orlando airport. Checked everyday until we found a great sea through thrifty. Easy 45 minute drive to the port. We stayed at the country inn and suites (next to the port). This allowed us to leave the rental car there free for the cruise. We had a nice night at the port. They have great restaurants and bars there. All newer and a lot of fun. The morning of our cruise the hotel shuttle took us right to the port and off we went with no problems. That ship is amazing. It was recently dry docked and restored just like new. New bedding and room amenities. Plus upgrades throughout the ship. I can't speak for the dining as we stick with traditional. Anything I missed just let me know. We really enjoyed the freedom!!

What do you carry on to the cruise ship (rather than leave with porters)

I always carried on actual carry on luggage. This time I am only bringing the essentials in a backpack. Valuables and first day clothing. Bringing that big bag to lunch and around the ship isn't fun anymore.
