  1. Ditto,

Don't risk it.My wife and I always rented a tandem bike until we witnessed a fatal collision 7 years ago.A young couple who were on our cruise turned to the right on a round about(traffic circle) and crashed head on into a truck. He was killed and she was critically wounded. My wife and I were about 100 yards behind them.Since then we purchase the transportation passes.

  2. I also grew up on Staten Island...I graduated from Curtis High School in 1963.

I don't have the foggiest idea of where you can get a good pastrami sandwich in downtown Manhattan other than at Katz's because I wouldn't consider going elsewhere when I'm in that area. 😁

Heck, on Monday I just had a pastrami sandwich at what I think is the only remaining kosher deli within an easy drive of my home in central NJ, and even that wasn't what it used to be. They used to make their pastrami in house, but now they buy premade pastrami from Hebrew National. Acceptable, but not the good stuff that they used to make there and still do at Katz's.

My wife and I graduated from Curtis in 1964.I played football and baseball all

4 years and my wife Joanne was a cheerleader. We now live on Todt Hill.Remember Carnegie deli, but the best is KATZ.

  3. My wife and I will be cruising to Bermuda in August on the Summit. This will be our 16th trip to Bermuda.Bermuda is one of our favorite places. The people are friendly,it's relatively safe, beautiful beaches and great golf, many historical buildings and forts.

  4. Hmm, I believe the NCL Breakaway has a tad few more passengers then the Celebrity Summit.

2,400 vs 4,500 I think there might be a bit of a line with the BA but OP will know before me as I don' sail BA until October.

Yes the breakaway was docked ahead of us and we still got the 9:30 AM ferry.

  5. It is realistic. I have been on the Summit the last two years which docks at 8:30 and I have made the 9:30 ferry to St. George's.

My wife and I were on the Summit 2 years ago and were on the 9:30 ferry.Make sure you get off the ship as soon as it is cleared, get your tickets/tokens and get on line.

  6. Hopefully report backs from those who cruised on Breakaway and on Summit this week will start coming in. I am glad my sailing is six weeks away. Much more should be known by then.

I'm sailing on the 8/28 Summit sailing. My final payment is due by 6/14.If the transportation problem is not resolved by then.I will probably CXL.This would have been my 16th trip to Bermuda.

  7. It is an excellent dining room for Aqua Class passengers only (suite guests are let in also). Opened for both lunch and dinner, it is a small venue holding 50-70 guests only (never really counted people in Blu!). Open seating and a very personal dining experience.

Open for breakfist and dinner. It is not open for lunch.

  8. You do not have a spot in the dining room, your assigned dining room is Blu. The 6PM is only something to satisfy the celebrity's horrible computer system. I'm sure someone will come on here and confirm what I have said. You will probably be able to eat in the MDR on an availability basis but it will be in the Select area.

There will be a letter in your stateroom when you arrive which states they will request you the first night to go to the Dining room at your assigned time but this can be ignored, it means nothing. I know this sound screwy but if you do a search on Blu dining you will probably find a hundred threads with a similar thread.

You should absolutely try Blu for dinner, as good as breakfast is, dinner is much better.

    Don is right.

  9. Read your credit card benefits closely. It might say, Travel Assist help. The coverage that one may really need is Medical Evacuation Ins. If needed, I the cost could possibly be well over $50,000.

An air ambulance could set you back $400,000.Make sure the insurance covers this.Travel Insured International covers up to $1,000,000 in emergency evacuation.
