  1. Thank you for your advise. We did book directly with Holland America as we always do and and we have paid extra to change staterooms before and never had to pay cancel fees. I will call Holland America in the morning to ask about this fee.

  2. My DH and I just moved from an obstructed oceanview to a non obstructed oceanview and paid the difference between the two staterooms (this was not an upsell offer). We have noticed that on our billing notice at the bottom it says that we owe 59.60 canadian cancel fees. Does anyone know please what this charge is for. Thank you.

  3. We have taken 10 cruises with HAL and always had a stateroom mid ship or close to the stern and we have noticed a very small amount of salt on the teak railing but nothing that bothered us at all. Our stateroom VF 4007 was on a 7 day western carribean (we scuba dive) and the salt covered all the furniture, floor and cushions on the seats. We had hoped to dry our wetsuits etc on the balcony but it was so salty that this was not possible. If you did not notice a problem with salt on the balcony in 4043 then we should be just fine in 4039. Your help is much appreciated.

  4. My DH and I will be flying from Toronto to London Gatwick airport in November and would like to take a flight to Lisbon and then onto to Funchal Medeira the same day. Our flight from Toronto To London Gatwick with West Jet will arrive at 9:10 am and the flight to Lisbon on TAP Portugal will depart at 10:40 am. Is this very risky or will their be enough time to catch the TAP flight at 10:40 am. Thank you for all your advise.

  5. How very disappointing. My DH and I have just finished ballroom dance classes, the waltz, rhumba, swing, samba, tango, foxtrot, cha cha and how much fun we had. We were on the Nieuw Amsterdam in January and there was a wonderful band for ballroom dancing in the Ocean Bar. We have booked the transatlantic on the eurodam and were so looking forward to dancing our way across the atlantic. Thank you for the information.

  6. I was in 4127 on Eurodam last year. I don't have a picture but what the other poster said about cabin 4130 pics are correct. I was VERY SATISFIED with my view. Yes, there's an obstruction but I felt I had a very decent view. The obstructed cabins have floor to ceiling windows unlike regular outside cabins so that even enhances the view.

I was so satisfied that I have Cabin 4130 on Eurodam on a Greek Isles cruise next month.

We have booked stateroom 4127 on the Eurodam. Thank you.

  7. My DH and I have tentatively booked an obstructed oceanview stateroom on deck 4, the upper promenade deck (4127) next to the first verandah stateroom. Is there much of a view between the end of the lifeboat and the solid metal balcony wall of the adjacent verandah? Does anyone have a photo of the view from this stateroom or 4130 (Eurodam or Nieuw Amsterdam).

Thankyou very much for your help!

  8. My DH and I are avid scuba divers and are looking at an 8 day cruise with Princess going to Bonaire, Aruba and Curacao. We would like to know the name of the dive company that Princess uses in Bonaire please. thank you.

I should have mentioned that we would like a boat dive rather than a shore dive. Thank you.
