  1. I am looking at the tours that NCL runs to Kennedy Space Center. They have the Space Center tour as well as an "up close tour." Does anyone know which of the KSC tours the "up close tour" ? on the KSC website, there are several different "up close" tours: a mega tour, launch pad tour, assembly building tour, and control center tour. From the description, I think it is the mega tour, but can anyone confirm?

Also, if anyone has done a ship tour to KSC and has any advice in general, please share. We will be in port that day from 12 to 9pm.

    Thanks!

  3. On EPIC last year my daughter used it with an old Touch. One that doesn't have voice input. I think the newer ones, with a microphone, can be used for calling.

I know the newer ones can be used for Skype voice calling, so I suspect that will work. I know texting does.

    Thanks for the info!

Download now for free, then it's activated once you board. If you choose to communicate with other members of your party, then you pay the fee.

Can it only communicate with other devices that have the app (and therefore are smartphones)? DD has a basic phone, so wondering if I can use it with her. Or if not her phone, maybe I can download the app to her ipod touch for texting?

  5. Congratulations on your loss this week, Nikki. Any loss is good and worth celebrating as an accomplishment!

Kerri and ebradley - thanks for giving us the timeline for your weight loss. 18 lbs in 15 weeks, and 29 lbs in 20 weeks is fantastic! Somehow my weightloss really crawls. I am always grateful to get even .5 lbs in a given week.

So far I am having a good, on-plan week. As long as I don't binge over the weekend, I am really hoping to see a decent loss at my WI on Tuesday. My daughter is away for the next two weeks (one at camp and one with her father), so I am hoping to squeeze in a few extra workouts while she is away. Fingers crossed!

  6. From what I've read, that answer depends on what is important to you. In terms of cabin size, most of the difference is in the bathroom. However, the mid ship mini suites have pretty small balconies. I opted to go with an aft facing balcony instead of the mini suite for my trip in Feb 2014. I'd much rather invest my travel dollars in an enjoyable balcony than a bathroom.

  7. Hi all - I am going to join in on your WW thread. I've been on (and off) the program for about a year and half now, and really need to recommit. At this point I have a good 30 lbs to lose in total, but having just booked a cruise yesterday for Feb 2014, I would like to take the opportunity to really recommit and try to lose 15 to 20 lbs by my cruise date. Do you think that is a realistic goal for 6.5 months?

Tuesday is my WI day, so tomorrow is a good day for me to start anew.
