Since this was posted, I think you need to add another "no fluid in the bottle."  No matter how many tests are sent out, in this small group, this is not a very good track record.  The company has some QC issues.  I do not recall ever having found an empty dispenser in any pharmaceutical product I have previously purchased.

I find it all stressful, and I don't find people sharing their experiences or concerns inflating it.  Thanks to their taking the time to post, knowing what can go wrong has helped me to consider what the  back-up options are.

    Nailed it. Well said

Yeah, the short day in Cabo does suck. I'm not surprised that the crew doesn't know about it since the only manifestation of it is the short port day - no issues noticed at all while cruising.

there is a crew member that uploads 4-5 youtube videos a week who is on Panorama. He is very connected to 'The Real World' I dont know how that kind of info doesn't get spread around all the crew.

I will have extra time in Cabo and would like to charter a quality fishing boat. One that is capable for going after tuna, wahoo, etc.

    Any suggestions?

there is so much variance that will dictate what is best; namely what time off year, and what style of fishing you are looking for.

  4. If you are a foodie and porting into Ensenada; I HIGHLY recommend La Guererense. Anthony Bourdain called it the best street food in the whole world. amazing fresh seafood. I have been going there for years. They have their own fishermen catching everything for them so they dont have to use the market. a horse drawn carriage will take you there for about $10, but its not a long walk from the cruise terminal either.

Ok thank you for all of the info - I did see it was a tender port so we might just walk to the beach and then check out close shopping and food like you said.  Appreciate it! Want to save our excursion  for Ensenada.

  6. yes, it has been long noted that the actual spa on the Panorama is a down grade. pre-shutdown spa cabins used to have a placard in there cabin that offered them thing like 2 free yoga class passes amongst other things. these are the perks I was referring to; not the in room perks.

Not quite, the Fantasy class, in addition to a sauna, also had a separate steam room in both the men's and ladies locker rooms. Panorama only has a comp sauna in the locker room and only two showers. The Spirit class ships still have the best locker room size and features that are included in your cruise fare imo.

I was not referring to the Panorama.

  8. For anyone who has sailed on the Panorama since the restart. Is carnival still offering fun little perks on a placard in the spa cabins? the offering seemed to change from time to time, worried they had done away with all of them. Does the category of of Spa Cabin mater?

Yes, the house edge in Fun21 is a bit over 1% if you play perfect Fun21 "basic" strategy.  The basic strategy for Fun 21 is very similar to that for Spanish 21, which strategy can be found on numerous gambling websites and I dont think is that convoluted.  For me, anyways.

Not sure why you are reiterating the facts already stated. Just because you dont know the game is hurting you, doesn't mean it isn't 😉.

  10. I'm a die hard fisherman, I already plan on trying to catch a Roosterfish from the beach in Mazatlan, but dont want to make the whole cruise a fishing trip. If any one has experienced panga fishing in the ports of Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta, which is the best of these ports to go bottom fishing, mostly jigging? thank you for your help.

Dang.   I was on the "last Carnival ship at sea" pre pandemic (Carnival Miracle through the Panama Canal) and the Fun 21 was definitely dealt from a shoe on the Miracle.  The casino staff said they couldn't use the CSM on the Fun 21 game because the individual decks only had 48 cards due to removal of the Kings and the CSM couldnt handle 48 card decks.    But the staff could have made that explanation up.  Anyways, I won't play CSM, so I was hoping that at least some of the Fun 21 games were still ongoing with a shoe.

it's not the CSM that is hurting you, it's the structure of the game. more than double the House Edge of good rules Blackjack, if you play perfect strategy, which is very convoluted.

This is the opposite of our experience.  My daughter and I enter the casino at the same time and usually leave at the same time.  She plays slots only, I play card games at the tables only.  We tend to get emails from Carnival on the same day and we compare offers.  Mine are always significantly better (e.g., recent Australia offer, I got $1,500AUD offer she got $500AUD offer).

Slot players cannot Toke the dealers!!!😉

The conversation is mixed. This topic started being about using OBC to purchase gift cards in the Cherry on Top Store!  And yes, many on these threads recall the simpler days when they could move their sail and sign OBC to a casino account, spin a slot reel once and take their ticket to the casino cashier for a cash payout and leave the casino never to return.

the conversation wasn't mixed is was convoluted, in tis there question pertaining to the casino we asked about table game structure, but the same answer you have given in multiple threads was talking about slot machines. no one was asking about slot machine. pre covid, as seemingly now you have to go about using OBC 2 different ways depending on if you are slot/VP player of a table games player. I was simply untangling the two ways to operate.

I've never gambled before but am considering visiting the casino on my next cruise. Does Carnival offer any introductory classes for any of the games? I'm more interested in roulette and craps than card games or slots.

    Thanks

There is some really good advise above on the craps table subject. It will be nothing like street dice as far as how the game is actually played. stop resisting youtube, it will get you prepped so you are walking in blind, not to mention teach the etiquette of the game. ALSO, cruise line craps dealers are notoriously some of the lowest grade, every cruise I have sailed I have either heard a dealer give horrible assistance or pay out a bet wrong. Youtube will teach you what pays what, and quite honestly standing at the rail and just playing the Pass Line will get you to a place wear you remember what you learned on Youtube, AND it will be exciting.

The 3 best Craps channels on Youtube is:
    Casino Quest
    CEG dealer School
    Color Up

post here what ship and sailing and maybe you can link up with someone.

You can cash it out.  You just have to play with it some first and there may be a fee.

If you use it on slot machines, you can only cash out what you win.

If you use it at table games there's a 3% service fee to buy chips with your sail n sign card.  IDK if they monitor/expect you to place a certain amount of bets.  Most likely you're not supposed to exchange chips and then cash out immediately without playing at all.  I played small amounts on outside bets at roulette, was able to play for quite awhile, and turned a small profit.

I expect all types of OBC are about the same in this regard.  "Fun play" or whatever casino-specific credit is called can likely only be used in the casino and no where else on the ship.

was this roulette play pre shut down, or recently?
