Hmm I live in Kiel and I can say you are well on time. Quest had only 30 minutes to wait, we have here sometimes days where you have to wait 1-12 hours to join the Kiel Canal (Viking Cruises had to wait 2 times around 10 hours). So I don't know why the captain is telling that. You should be around 6-7 p.m in Kiel and then with moderate speed to Copenhagen. Today there is also less traffic in the Canal.

How many passengers are currently on board during the Baltic cruise?
-
Skagen is a really problematic port. Today Costa Diadema couldn't get there due to high winds.
2 days ago Celebrity Silhouette couldn't go either. But wondering that they cancelled Kiel, the larger Costa Diadema is going to Kiel tomorrow as planned. Kiel is really good protected by the fjord and from winds from western directions.

instead of having one half full ship running next summer, they will pull all their ships out of the Baltic in order to hopefully sell out the cruises by repositioning them.
She still sails on June and August 2023 4 Baltic cruises.

AIS says she sails 28,8 knots, wow..

They have a cruise list on their official homepage
https://www.portofkiel.com/files/pok/Downloads/Kreuzfahrerlisten/Kreuzfahrerliste.pdf
She will get Ostuferhafen LP1

It appears all the original Baltic cruises have now become Norways. Britannia is doing an awful lot of them in 2024. It's a shame they couldn't replace them with something more original. 2024 is basically Iona and Britannia on repetitive Norway and Aurora and Arcadia doing quite a few 12nt Norway. Where has the P&O that used to do all original itinaries with no ship assigned to a specific 'route'? Such a shame.
That is not correct. If you look at the cruises of Britannia, you will notice 5x 14 days gaps between May and September. These gaps were planned to go to the Baltics. And if you compare it with 2023 you will also notice that she also sails 2023 a lot of Norway cruises.

Looks the Baltic has been pulled completely for 2024.
Clearly appropriate to not have St Petersburg on the menu, but a bit surprised that the rest of the Baltic has been pulled. Still so many other lovely places to visit. Oh well...
Nah, I don't think that they wont sail any Baltic cruise, why they should sail 2022 and 2023 there but 2024 not. According to my infos there were 9 Baltic cruises planned for 2024 (5 Britannia, 2 Arcadia, 2 Aurora).

Not sure there has been anything official said but I was told that travel agent sites are now showing the Getaway out of Rome this summer. Her transatlantic has also been canceled so this makes sense.
But if she sails from Rome, why would they cancel her TA on late Nov which already was planned from Rome? That doesn‘t make sense to me..

So maybe it will home-ported in Southampton, like Enchanted Princess.
@Ulsteinvik That's were it will head probably.
Yea but I am pretty sure the Orkney call is an old call from the former planned TA. She is also booked on 19 May 2022 since 1 year in Le Havre but then they modified the TA and the Le Havre call to 07th May 2022. So let's wait and see where we will find Getaway after the 14th June..

Do I understand that correctly, so she is still doing the 2 Baltic Sea tours in May? And what happens after that, completely new cruises out of Copenhagen until 18 October? Weird..
-
There are several other port calls, it seems that she will sail similar cruises to Sky Princess.
I found:
Cadiz:
28.05
06.06
04.07
Gibraltar:
27.05
04.07
Kristiansand:
26.04 from Oslo to Hamburg
17.07 from Southampton to Copenhagen
28.08 from Southampton to Copenhagen
Bergen:
29.06 from Olden to Southampton

Enchanted Princess is booked now 9 times in Southampton from 04 May 2022 during the summer season. Also a new call came for Le Havre on 03rd May 2022. Wondering if they will drop her Baltic Season from Copenhagen and instead sail from Southampton..

The problem with Warnemunde is that there are 2 large berths in Warnemünde and one large berth in a cargo terminal in Rostock. However, there is construction work at this cargo terminal until the end of 2023. Therefore, Warnemünde now only has 2 large berths until end of 2023 and since the MSC Poesia and AIDAmar are already in Warnemünde on June 5th, the Aurora had to be rerouted. This does not affect Arcadia on 13 May, because there is no other ship.

After the Gothenburg call on 26 May, it would be possible to go to Fredericia/Warnemunde/Kiel and then a seaday to Stockholm. So maybe you will only lose Bornholm.

I don't think they will drop Tallinn. If we look at the calls, she is booked in Stockholm on 29 May, Visby 30 May and the next call we see in Copenhagen on 04 June. There are still 3 days time to visit Tallinn, Helsinki and Riga before she have to sail a seaday to Copenhagen. I would think that they will drop Bornholm or Fredericia or both of them but maybe I am wrong.

Also there is a new call in Oslo on 05 and 06 June.
-
It is not true that Princess removed Tallinn. It is only the Baltic Sea cruise from 05/26/22 where Tallinn was removed. Enchanted is sailing 12 Baltic cruises and 10 cruises still have Tallinn in.

Seems that Britannia will get Visby and Skagen as replacement ports on her May Baltic cruise. She is booked there.

Visby to Helsinki 361 nm ... 15 hours overnight ... 24.07 knots required ... no, not feasible for Enchanted Princess ... 23 Knot maximum speed. Must be another change coming.
Interesting is, that she is booked in Visby in different rhythms. Sometimes 5 days after Copenhagen, then 6 days, then 7 days.. I think the itineraries will change a lot in the port orders.
Maybe something like that:
Jun 17 Copenhagen Check-In 1pm - 5pm. 6:00PM
Jun 18 Oslo 10:00AM-11:00PM
Jun 19 At Sea
Jun 20 At Sea
Jun 21 Helsinki
Jun 22 Tallinn
Jun 23 Nynäshamn
Jun 24 VisbyJun 25 At Sea
Jun 26 Warnemunde
Jun 27 Aarhus/Kiel?
Jun 28 Copenhagen 6:00AM -
I heard Sky Princess will get Berlin (Warnemunde) as replacement port on May.

Ulsteinvik, you need to actually look at the NCL web site. It has been updated. They are selling Baltic cruises with 2 sea days in place of SPB.
It seems you don't know what I am saying. They removed SPB since yesterday from the homepage. But they will put in new ports soon. You can't expect that the replacement ports are already on the homepage today.

No, no new ports added. SPB days now sea days. The new itineraries are on the NCL web site today. And the price is still the same as if going to St. Petersburg or 2 other ports. I am very disappointed in NCL for taking the easy way out.
Are you kidding me, they temporarily took out Russia of the website that nobody will book with the hope to visit Russia and are now working on the new ports. Nothing has been updated, just be patient. The mail from NCL has already said everything.

What NCL has done on all of their 2022 Baltic cruises is just drop St. Petersburg and have those 2 days be sea days.
No, they will put new ports in but they need time. They have to get everything clear with the new ports. Getaway will sail a lot of times to Visby instead of St.Petersburg and this will also be soon published from NCL.

He's also probably too inexperienced about the Kiel Canal rules. I hope you enjoy the daylight transit, I will try to make later some photos of Quest around the Kiel area in the afternoon. Hopefully with no rain 📸
