  1. Azura replaces Oceana and will sail 7 or 14 days from Valletta

Britannia sails the same 14 days med cruises out of Southampton

Oceana sails 2 days St Peter Port - 7 days Spain & Portugal - 12 days Canary Islands

Iona sails exactly the same routes like 2020. 10 April 2021 till 18 September 2021 Norway and then 14 days Med and Canary

Ventura replaces Azura and will sail 14 days Med and 14 days Baltic.

Arcadia and Aurora aren't out yet.

Would you mind stop talking of German people in general, please. Your words may let the people get wrong impressions of Germans. We are not all equal! Such aggressive activists destroyed entire streets at G20 summit in Hamburg, they enter ships and secure harbor areas without being punished. Sometimes, I'm just only ashamed of being a citizen of this country called Germany, embarrassing ...

You are completely right. I live also in Germany and this protest was just illegal and a shame!!

  3. Celebrity Apex itineraries from Southampton:

    05 April 2020: Southampton - 2 days at sea - Bilbao - Lisbon - Leixoes - Le Havre - At Sea - Southampton

    13 & 23 April 2020: Southampton - At Sea - Oslo - Oslo - Copenhagen - Warnemunde - At Sea - Amsterdam - Zeebrugge - Le Havre - Southampton

    03 May 2020: Southampton - At Sea - Bergen - Alesund - Geiranger - Stavanger - At Sea - Southampton

    10 May 2020: Southampton - At Sea - Le Havre - Bilbao - La Coruna - At Sea - Lisbon - Gibraltar - At Sea - Cartagena - Barcelona

  4. P&O Iona:
    337 metres

    8,8 m depth

    5.200 passengers

    Anthem:

    347 metres

    8,8 m depth

    4.900 passengers

Iona fits in all norwegian ports like Bergen, Stavanger, Olden, Geiranger. And she is doing this each week. I don't think the 10 metres would be a problem. Queen Mary 2 (345 metres and much deeper than Anthem) was also in Geiranger, Stavanger, Olden, Oslo, Trondheim.. She just can't sail through the Baltic because she is to high for the Storebelt Bridge. I think there are other reasons why Anthem is not sailing Baltic/Norway.

The only logical reason is that Anthem is too big for several ports in Norway and the Baltic (e.g. Bergen, Stockholm, Geiranger). Voyager class is already at the edge, same applies to Norwegian Getaway and MSC Meraviglia. They have limited options for stops. This is why Royal will always need a kind of Radiance class to offer at least some variaty.

Hmm maybe only Stockholm and Bergen would be a problem. But ports like Copenhagen, St.Petersburg, Helsinki, Tallinn, Oslo, Geiranger, Stavanger.. would be no problem for the Anthem.

Even the bigger P&O Iona fits through several norwegian ports.

  6. Kiel has much experience with unplanned cruise calls because they know really well that Warnemünde has problems with wind situations. I saw one time MSC Sinfonia when she tried to dock in Warnemünde on 7 a.m but it was to risk. So they went just 5 hours later to the port of Kiel without problems.

Warnemünde and Kiel also have the same port agent "Sartori & Berger". I think it would have been no problem to go to this port. But I don't know why NCL did not do it.

  7. Warnemuende is pretty bad with winds. So with heavy wind the ships can´t go in. The Viking Sky arrived a day early and stayed in port.

I don´t understand why they didn´t go to Kiel instead. The port was open and the cruise pier empty. It´s easier to get to Kiel from Warnemuende (or vice versa). They could have even provided buses for that transfer.

    steamboats

That is a really good question. Regal Princess did it 2015 too. Warnemünde was closed and they went to Kiel. Would be a much better decision. But maybe they don't know Kiel?

  8.

I haven´t checked but they did stay in Tallinn overnight. Couldn´t they leave? As Helsiniki is pretty close by. Instead of staying in Tallinn longer Helsinki would have been an option (if the port wasn´t too busy but it´s the end of the season).

    steamboats

You are right but there was also a big storm in Helsinki. So they had to stay in Tallinn.

  9. I’m so sorry. I wouldn’t have minded missing Helsinki, but Stockholm would hurt. And I’m kind of confused like the above poster since I don’t think it’s that far to sail from Stockholm to Copenhagen, but I’m not a naval expert Hopefully someone else can explain what happened (cancelling Berlin due to rough seas makes sense and if you were delayed for a day in Tallinn, I understand losing Helsinki). But I’m not quite understanding what happened to stockholm, but I’m sure there’s an explanation someone else can give.

If NCL Breakaway departs tomorrow from St.Petersburg there is no chance to reach Stockholm on Sunday because of the long distance.

She could arrive on Monday in Stockholm but then she would miss Copenhagen. You need from Stockholm to Copenhagen 2 days.

  10. The Pearl can't be in two places at once. I just checked NCL, and she is in Alaska on those dates. Perhaps you meant the Jade, or Star?

Nope it is the Pearl you can look also at the official port site of both ports. First of all they have to reserve the berths at the ports. If all is okay they will remove the Alaska cruises from the homepage. They won't remove anything until they didn't booked all berths at all ports. As I said in the first post, the Amsterdam & Le Havre lists were updated today. It could take time.

Happened to HAL also with the Prinsendam..

  11. There are some rather odd places mentioned in your post. Tilbury for example, and heading to Bilbao in June. That doesn't suggest a full season in Northern Europe,

You are right. It seems like she will be sail in May and June 14 nights cruises out from Amsterdam and afterwards she will be stationed in the Med?

    Looks interesting.. Let's see.

  12. Hey,

today I looked at the cruises lists from Amsterdam and Le Havre and found out that the NCL Pearl is booked 4 times in Amsterdam and Le Havre. Here the exact dates:

    Le Havre :

08 May 2019 (from Dublin to Tilbury)

22 May 2019 (from Dublin to Tilbury)

19 June 2019 (from Dublin to Tilbury)

25 June 2019 (from Zeebrugge to Bilbao)

    Amsterdam:

    11 May 2019 Turnaround

    25 May 2019 Turnaround

    08 June 2019 Turnaround

    22 June 2019 Turnaround

What do you think? Will NCL redeploy and send a 3rd ship to northern europe?

These cruise lists were updated yesterday and today.
