A tale of two cruises.
In January 2014 we did a B2B. First 7 day was a western Caribbean and the average age was probably 50. There was a good mix of all ages. The second leg was an eastern Caribbean where the average age was 70+. While that would have normally been fine, the entire vibe changed for the second cruise. The music went from modern to not-so-much, the bars were DEAD after 9:00, even the Martini Bar. Even the food got blander.
I finally asked the CD about the change in vibe and he told me that they try to meet the expectations of the demographics of each particular cruise. I laughed and told him that he nailed it for that cruise! We both had a good chuckle.

Conjugal visits.
:D
Now THAT's funny!

Wow! Simply wow!

Thank you for your review. A great read!

As long as you don't have to be right by the pool you should be able to find a couple of chairs. You might even get lucky and find a couple right by the pool that were recently vacated. If you're looking for ten chairs (five couples) during the 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM shift, that probably isn't going to happen anywhere near the pool. Good luck, though, and have a great cruise!

Yes my go to dessert is Crème brûlée. I can have it every night on a Celebrity cruise. Next is this chocolate dessert in Luminae.
Wow! What is that dessert called????
Found it! Chocolate Sphere in Luminae. Looks amazing!

Thanks, everyone. First suite and hoping it proves to be worth the cost. My wife certainly is looking forward to it! :). I am looking forward to Luminae!

So CC and Aqua get afternoon deliveries (I had them sub for a cheese plate on my last cruise) and I can't even get that in a suite? Wow. That's surprising. Thanks for the heads-up.

Hi, everyone! I have a few questions concerning Suite perks.
1. Michael's Club: Will I be able to get specific spirits there? For instance, my wife loves Woodford Reserve bourbon and I like Macallan scotch. I know we can go just outside Michael's and get both! LOL! I assume I can also get craft beers there? Has anyone ever seen Woodford Reserve rye on board?
2. I don't see too many comments on the afternoon "daily delectables." What is your experience? What did you receive each afternoon? I'm trying to get a feel for what to expect.
I appreciate your comments! :)

Thank you for a wonderful review. Menus and pics of Luminae were especially helpful. Thanks, again!

Why do Americans have a fascination with lobster?
Not all Americans. ;)

I believe there was a time when pillow chocolates were removed on Celebrity, and now they seem to have restored the evening chocolates, but I am not certain if it was customer push back that caused them to return to the practice of offering pillow chocolates.
When Lisa Lutoff-Perlo took over the reigns she made a point of telling everyone that she was bringing back the chocolates.

Can you still get the one category Captain's Club cabin upgrade when you book on board? Also, can you defer the OBC to the newly booked cruise instead of taking it on your current cruise?
Thanks,
Bruce

When is your cruise? Are you past the due date for final payment or did you pay early?
Oops! I see someone else had the same thoughts I did but typed faster!

Someone posted this on another line's tread and it worked for me: To change it back go into your user control panel, then click edit options, at the very bottom of the list under forum skin choose default style and you will go back to the proper look.
Thank you! The new format is very difficult to read, at least for my 60 year old eyes! ;)

I have really had my fill of acrobats hanging from curtains. :o
Good to see that I'm not the only one tired of the Cirque-style acrobatics.

SO happy to see it back! :)

I am the fetch it :D when we cruise, and take both cards to get drinks all the time.
Yeah. Me, too. I'm such a nice guy! :D

My wife and I are VERY happy to see this thread! THANK YOU Celebrity for bringing it back! :)

I agree with those saying not to chase points. I'm elite and love X, but have noticed the subtle and not-so-subtle cuts in the five short years I've cruised. Frankly, it IS possible to die from a thousand cuts and if they continue it will be time to move on.
Hmm. Maybe it is time that I branched out! :)

Sage advice from everyone suggesting a backup plan. Grand Cayman is a great port, but you've got to get there!
-
We have this one booked for October 2017. We can't wait!!!
-
My wife and I chose the 10-night because it has the ABC's and nice breaks with sea days. We love our sea days as much as port days! :)

Thanks for alerting everyone. I do agree that this looks like a scam.
Inside to concierge - worth it?

I still don't think it would worth it, especially if you're not balcony lovers.
