There is a July 30, 2016 sailing on Grandeur (5 day, Bermuda) listed on their website. See schedule of cruises.

Here are links to information from Royal Caribbean's website about sailing with disabilities and special needs. Your friend should contact Royal Caribbean's special needs department and ask them any specific questions that they may have.

  2. I am having a difficult time with getting anyone at Royal to get my group linked. I have tried to contact Royal they say Agent has to handle agent claims because we are set up as My time Dinning Royal has a policy not to link? Is there someone I can contact via email to try and get this resolved. We are a party "Group" of 10 and have prepaid and reserved My Time Dinning and Mystery Dinner but we are not linked together? Therfore we are being told that we are not reserved to sit together??

    Thanks for any help..

I have had MTD for a party of 10 before when we booked our cruise with a travel agent. The travel agent was the one who had to link the reservations. I would call the travel agent back and ask again and ask to speak to a supervisor if needed.

When I have booked my cruise directly with RCCL I was able to have them link reservations on the phone by providing everybody's reservation number. Each party also had to call and do the same.

  3. I always used to overpack, but have done better since I started using some of the packing advice that I've read:

Pick a color scheme using a few different colors so that you can mix and match outfits and wear some things more than once.

On casual nights, wear a top for the first time to dinner and then wear it later during the week with shorts during the daytime.

Bring a few pair of shoes that will go with multiple outfits.

Some people bring a simple black dress and wear it more than one night and change their look using accessories (scarf, shawl, jewelry).

    Happy cruising!

  4. In my opinion, toddlers are too young for swimming with the turtles if it is a catamaran excursion. I have done it a few times and there are usually several boats and lots of people swimming in the same area in deep water. It might be better to see if you can find a glass bottom boat trip to see the turtles or wait until they are older.

  5. What's your favorite thing to do in Vancouver in the few days before boarding a ship to Alaska?

Have you checked the Canada/ Alaska/Pacific Coastal board? There are lots of great suggestions for Vancouver there.

  6. Curious how big your party was? We have 11 and I fear we won't be able to just walk in without a reservation.

I strongly recommend making reservations for large parties. We made reservations for our party of 12 and sat at the same table and had the same wait staff every night. Our table was always ready for us and we never had to wait.

  7. Sailing on Freedom of the Seas in September, we have my time dining. How does this work? My reservation is 5:45 --8:45 do we arrive anytime during this time? I did put a time, and this showed up on my reservation.

Thanks, this is our first time cruising with RC.

What specific time did you select when you made your My Time Dining reservations in advance? Did you pick the same time every day or different times on different days?

When we made our reservations online, we selected 6:45 every night. On the cruise planner section of our online reservation, our dining reservation was listed as 6:45-8:45. I have made My Time Dining reservations in advance on several Royal Caribbean cruises. My understanding is that the reservation is for the time that you selected and does not mean to show up anytime within that window of time. We always stop by the dining room and check in with the Maitre D' to confirm our reservations in the afternoon after boarding the ship. Even if you make reservations in advance, you can still change them once on the ship if your plans change.

Enjoy your first Royal Caribbean cruise and My Time dining!

  8. We are staying at Homewood Suites at Orlando airport. I recently read a review on Trip advisor that the family stayed there one night precruise and were able to get a day rate to use a room and hotel facilities after their cruise while they waited for their late flight. It's walking distance to several restaurants. It's worth calling the hotel to inquire.

  9. We made a reservation at Homewood Suites near Orlando Airport for next April and got a great rate. Free breakfast and airport shuttle. Walking distance to several restaurants (Longhorn Steakhouse, Carabbas, IHOP, Fishbones, etc.). Excellent reviews on Tripadvisor. They have studios, as well as 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom suites. There is also a Hampton Inn and Suites Gateway right across the street with good rates.
