On the Cruise Ship when no land port is available, here is how my plan works (Rogers Canada). I don't know if most plans in the USA are similar. Certainly they would be cheaper.
Voice rates: $4/min
Text messages: 75 cents per message outbound. 25 cents per message inbound. Unless you have a plan that covers International messages. This always confuses me.
Data: $15/mb.
When on land, they just charge a flat $12/day internationally.
*It is not completely clear to me if there is an extra roaming charge assessed. Rogers says no, but I don't always trust customer service.
To me, the real scary part is always the text messages, especially if kids are involved.
I've used their roaming services during my last trip in November, which was in Italy. I was only charged the daily rate. nothing more.

I work for a wireless company.
If it connects to voicemail, it will be considered 1 minute of usage.
Depending on your Crown & Anchor level, it may be cheaper to use the ship phone.

I like the longer cruises as well. I will always try and do a long one, either 9 or 10 nights. My last cruise was a 12 night TA. This fall, I'm doing a B2B with a 4 night and a 9 night sailing and then next year, I'm doing the 14 night TA on Allure.
So yea, I like long cruises 🙂

I'm plus size and I'm usually fine in the shower - what I tend to do though is keep the door open and just put a towel on the floor.

Last year on Harmony we asked if we found a price cheaper on one of the stops would they price match? We found the Henessey Pure White cheaper in St.Kitts. We took a picture of the store & the sign showing the price. We showed it to the guy that told us this & he price match as promised.
I did this as well with Henessey Pure White. Glad I realized they price matched as it was about a $7 difference.

I booked the 3 night dining package for my Navigator sailing. I paid for it up front and based on what they were charging for the individual restaurants, I'm saving at least $50. Looking forward to trying Hooked and Jamie's Italian. You pick the time for the first day and they pick the rest but they are easliy changed.

Thank you for these amazing photos. I'm on the ship in November and absolutely cannot wait ... I'm even thinking about getting the drink package. I already got the 3 night Dining package.

I've sailed out of SJ 3 times and my worse sailing, unfortuantely, was the one I took shortly after the hurricane in November 2017. This was on Adventure but it was the first time I felt crowded on a ship and I've been on Allure. However, that wouldn't stop me from sailing from SJ again. It's a beautiful departure port.

I cruise solo. During my last sailing, I booked a future cruise just to get the reduced deposit. They don't have special solo pricing, but depending on how early you book ahead, you may get great pricing. I'm booked in a solo Junior Suite for my upcoming Navigator sailing and since I've booked, the price has gone up $1,000.

I usually do $30 for good service, but have not given extra a couple times due to inattentive service that I mentioned early in the sailing.

I have a hump JS on my November Navigator sailing ... would love to see pictures of the interior.

If you see something in the Cruise Planner you like, jump on it! I bought a 3 night dining package for $91 last week ... it’s now at $105.

I've had the Dancing Under the Stars for all of my sailings, including my TA in November. I really enjoy them. I'll usually find a spot on the upper deck and dance the night away with a drink.

As others have said, it depends on how many times I've been to the port and who I'm cruising with.
I'll be returning to Nassau in November; I've been there about 3 - 4 times so I'm familiar with it, however I decided to find something new to do. I enjoy getting off the ship for a couple hours but I do love staying on board and enjoying an empty pool. If I'm cruising with someone new, I will go through a repeat excursion for their benefit.

Too bad that there is not a lot of activity on your roll call. My last cruise was my first transatlantic in November and I booked about 5 excurisions, including pre cruise, with my roll call. Luckily, they were the sweetest people and I'll be cruising with a few of them again on the Allure transatlantic next November.

I can't speak to the Princess photo package, but adding to what Skleeb said, I ended up with a surprising number of photos on my own camera when I cruised solo. When I wanted a photo of myself in front of a landmark or whatever, I looked for a group of people who wanted a photo and offered to take a photo of their entire group if they would then take a photo of me.
22-day Med cruise sounds awesome! One thing to think about would be how much of your time will be spent on shore, where ship's photographers will not be present.
I do the same as well. I tend to find a group of people early in a cruise that I see around often and we will always take pictures of each other. Also, for my last cruise, I bought an affordable tripod from Amazon and got a lot of beautiful shots of myself on my balcony.

On RCL ships, my go to spot is the Viking Crown Lounge during the day. Not a lot of people, great view of the ocean and pool deck and I can catch a quick nap if need be! I tend to spend at least 2 - 3 hours a day up there. I'm a huge reader as well, so it's perfect for me.

Any type of bus tour that I've taken, there has been a group that has taken me in for the duration of the tour. As long as you're sociable, you should be fine!

Liberty September 2009 on an Eastern Caribbean sailing I believe. We had a regular inside cabin but were so impressed. I've always loved the water and used to work on a ferry in Toronto so I was pretty much in heaven on earth. I went with my sister, then tried a solo 4 night Bahams cruise the following September and now I go at least once a year - fortuante to be doing a B2B for my 10 year cruising anniversary!
-
As others have said, I've used Whatsapp during my last few cruises with no issues. I remember being on my European cruise in September 2016 and talking to my uncle in LA through Whatsapp for about an hour with no issues - love the app!

Going on Navigator in November on a hump JS and really looking forward to seeing the changes! No plans for Nassau as I've been there plenty before so looking forward to exploring the ship.

I've never had the pakage yet. I'm debating it for my 4 night sailing in November but the price would need to drop significantly for me to consider it.
As a Diamond member, I will usually buy 1- 2 frozen drinks during the day, go to the Diamond Louge for 1 - 2 drinks and then enjoy the 3 drinks on my card. I also bring two bottles of wine on with me each sailing so I'm definely drinking plenty and staying well under what I would pay for two days on the pakage.
-
I've left the balcony door overnight before. I don't do it every night but sometimes I like to hear the ocean sounds. It's hard to say I wouldn't do it again if in a balcony cabin. I've also slept on the balcony overnight before - it was fantastic.

Interesting, but there's something I don't understand.
You made the initial booking with $100 deposit.
You lost the $100 initial deposit by making the change.
So there's no deposit at all on the new sailing?
I kept my $100 deposit but they added the change fee to my total. I thought I had to pay it upfront so that was a nice surprise.

There are no deals on my two sailings in November. If they are deals, they are not lower than what I previously booked (3 night dining package for Navigator and beach tour for Explorer)
