My daughter-in-law has always called me “Mama Dukes”. I couldn’t think of another name when I signed up, so I became Mrs.Dukes

We have only been on one Azamara cruise, and we really enjoyed the White Night. I wore tan capris, a white blouse and cardigan. My husband wore khakis and a white golf shirt. There were people in all types and colors of outfits, although most people had on something light colored. We really had a great time, and hope these nights continue on future cruises. The food was delicious, and the music a lot of fun!

I’m sorry to read this. We sailed most recently on Azamara, and really liked it. We enjoyed reciprocal status from Royal Caribbean, which was great.

August 2019 on Azamara Journey. Fabulous trip from Copenhagen to Southampton.

I guess, if you have only sailed AZ once (albeit on two 7 night B2Bs) like us, you are not entitled to such survey as we didn't receive this?
We have only been on 1 Azamara cruise and got the survey. I thought it was a pretty good survey. The question I had a problem with was the same as Grandma Cruising, as I haven’t contacted them recently.- 1

Wish I could go on this trip with you! ⛴

You are not wrong to feel this way. It is very disappointing when plans get changed, regardless of the reason. Hopefully, someday you will be able to take the cruise when the situation is better. Hang in there.

Not sure I’d switch just to try another mass market cruise line but would definitely look at other for unique experiences or itineraries. Definitely want to try Azamara for a European cruise.
Definitely try Azamara. We are not frequent cruisers, and have mainly cruised on Royal. We took an Azamara European cruise last year, and it was fabulous. Reminded us of our first cruise we took on Royal back in the early 90’s. Food and service were excellent. Very friendly crew. Because they’re smaller ships they tend to be able to dock at the most convenient ports in the city. Highly recommend it! -
My deepest sympathy on the tragic loss of your husband. I hope that you get your refund very soon. I’m so very sorry

Our daughter has tested positive, and grappling with feelings of guilt over who she might have infected before she was aware. So far, our grandsons are fine. We will drop off supplies and a meal (with treats) to leave outside their door later today. Stay well everyone.

So sorry about your daughter. Hoping she recovers quickly, and your grandsons stay well.

I Live in NY (Long Island, just outside of N.Y. City). Our area has been hid very hard, lots of cases. We have been staying in our house, as have most people. My husband is working from home. One of his co-workers does have the virus, but fortunately it has now been 2 weeks since he has seen them so looks like he has escaped this time. I have a good amount of food at home. I haven’t gone out to a food store in 2 weeks. I placed a delivery order, first date I could get is next week. I usually take care of my grandkids while my daughter works, but she has been working from home now so I haven’t seen them since last Thursday, and I miss them (and they miss me), but their health is of paramount importance. My other sons and their families live in Virginia, so we won’t be able to see them for awhile. 😕 My niece is a first year medical resident, who now is working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. Wishing everyone good health. HGC, I hope your son-in-law continues to feel better. Be well!

We took the train in the opposite direction, from Southampton to Gatwick. It was very easy, and a pleasant ride, and very reasonably priced.

Looking forward to following along! Always enjoy your trip reports. Wishing you safe travels.

Heading to Lisbon in February for the first time (although not on a cruise 🙁). Thanks for the link to your blog, lots of good info there!

We did the Tattoo this August while on a cruise on the Journey. We bought the tickets on our own from the Tattoo’s website. We took the bus, which was easy. We followed Uktog’s advice she gave on a thread of where to get the bus afterwards, it was very easy.
We did not have premium seats, but our seats were very good, and under $100 US a piece. It was a fabulous experience!- 2

We did the Military Tattoo this past summer when on a cruise with Azamara. We docked in Leith (not sure which port Crystal docks at.) We took a bus from right outside the cruise port. It was about a 15 minute bus ride, and a few minutes walk from where the bus stopped. We bought the tickets directly on the Tattoo site. We took the bus back afterwards also. We were not concerned about getting back to the ship quickly as we were overnighting in Edinburgh we had what I thought were pretty decent seats and they were about $70 each.

Not really sure about the seat configurations in that class. We were just in whatever the basic economy class is called. We booked directly on the Thalys site and had no problem with our US credit card.
