  1. Before I even had my confirmation email, my Sun cruise was on the app
  2. guessing that just like you can't add Club Class amenities to a non Club Class mini suite that you can't add the Reserve amenities. Hopefully your CVP will be able to switch you to an available Reserve Cabana! Fingers crossed for you!! I was totally in your shoes six weeks ago. Rebooked with reserve so it is all set. Thanks so much for all of your help!!!
  3. I get the same thing. Not concerned yet because I am not sailing til October 2024. It works fine for my March 2024 sailing
  4. I am glad we had this discussion because you have cleared things up for me. I think this is all a learning curve. I have a call in to my CVP because we are interested in upgrading. For the amount it costs, it is worth it to have the other amenities. Go big or stay home! LOL My only concern is that all I see are guaranteed cabins and I have never done that on any cruiseline. I am wondering if we can keep the same cabin since the upgrade is just amenities
  5. That seems what I have read. Honestly, those amenities are not important. Mainly interested to the cabana in the mini suite and access to the cabana deck. LOL Becoming clearer and then it will probably change.
  6. I am totally confused with this "reserve vs cabana mini suite" All I know is I did read that the reserve ones on deck 9 are not that isolated because people going to to cabana deck pass by there. I found this write up 11423 Category: Category CA - Cabana Mini Suite Description: The Cabana stateroom features a balcony, a private cabana, unique outdoor furniture and an extra-large private lounge space that lets you take in the fresh sea air. Unwind inside with a separate sitting area with sofa bed and premium bathroom amenities. Enjoy Reserve Collection upgrades on select Cabana Mini-Suites. In addition to the great amenities found in all Cabana Mini-Suites, you will receive Reserve Collection upgrades, including access to the Reserve Collection Restaurant. I have seen on a number of descriptions and from my CVP that we have access to Reserve Collection Restaurant. I also read that it is not a separate restaurant but rather a section of MDR. If that is the case, we really don't care because we seldom eat in the MDR
  7. We are category CA. Reserve cabana. We get access to the Reserve restaurant. I am as confused as anyone else lol.
  8. On Wednesday I was able to get a mini suite cabana midship for Oct 19, 2024 after contacting my PCP. I had not seen anything except forward guarantee when looking myself but she found otherwise. It was also the same price as a regular mini suite. Very happy! Same as I am paying for mini suite on Sky March 2024
  9. There are many here who feel like I do about the prices. Did you not see that? We have sailed RCI and Celebrity for 12 years. RCI has become too family oriented for us and as I said, Celebrity is becoming too expensive and nickel and dime a lot. Why moving on to Princess? I explained that but will reiterate it, Princess offers more and the prices are more reasonable.for now. If there were better prices and itinerary, we are open to doing Celebrity. Also, we do not like the Edge class so there is nothing there to offer for us
  10. I agree! We have been on two cruises on Princess since cruising began again and we have a third booked. We loved Celebrity but the prices are crazy. I resent having to pay extra for a refun dable deposit especially when Covid was more prevalent. Then add the increase in specialty dining, room service, etc it is too much. Princess just increased prices on specialty also but their specialty were always much lower. Crown grille steak house is now $39 up from $30. Mini suites are less than Aqua and deposits are refundable. We are booked on Equnoix in October which we booked a year ago, The price went down by $800 at first but is now up over $1000. We also got 200 OBC when we booked our Princess for March 2024. We are now Princess customers
  11. I am also on Sky flying in from Philly. I changed my flight from Thursday to Friday yesterday. It looks like the storm is hitting north around Orlando and so lar, FLL is fairly unaffected except for rain and wind until Thursday. By Friday AM it looks to be in GA. HOPE this holds up!!!
  12. We had it on Regal in Feb and it was wonderful
  13. I totally agree!!!! Not everyone wants to sit with strangers, and/or same table. dining room I don't go to the same restaurant when I go to dinner so why should vacation be different?
  14. I guess it depends on where you travel and when. Went to Key West last September and used airfare credit to fly to Miami. Found this trip to be more expensive than a cruise by a long shot. Hotel (and this was off season) was $$ and we chose a mid price hotel not a resort. Add in food, drinks, and a few excursions and our 4 day trip was as much or more than an OV cabin on a cruise. We sailed on Princess in Feb and it was cheaper than Celebrity for a wonderful mini suite. Also, specialty dining was cheaper and excellent quality. We are booked again on Princess for November, again in a mini suite. We loved Princess but are coming back to Celebrity for October 2023 in Aqua mainly because we are elite, have many many credit card points, and miss Aqua. This 8 day trip is more expensive than our November Princess. At this point now, we will be not loyal to Celebrity or Princess but make choices based on itinerary and price
