GRRR! A little off topic. I have a trip planned to Vegas for August. When I went on the Delta site this morning to check prices for airfare, the airfare was $50.00 roundtrip! I called Delta to ask if this was a typographical error and she said no, that was the price. So I went back online to book 4 tickets (for me, my boyfriend Charlie, my son and his girlfriend). It asked for each passengers birthdate. I did not know my son's girlfriend's birthdate so I texted him at work and he was in a meeting. So I finally texted his girlfriend and she told me her birthdate and when I typed it in and pressed purchase, it jumped up to $367 a person! I was so mad. I just heard on the news that it was a glitch. Well I caught that glitch but I lost it. Oh well

I also got off the Indy on 12/15. I lined up at 6 a.m. with my luggage, hopped into a waiting cab and was at the airport at 7:15 for our 10:15 flight. We had plenty of time.

Just got off the ship last week, no they were not on my sailing.

I just got off Independence last week. There was only one comedian John Wing. He was on for 2 nights. The second night was a late night which was adult themed.

We always fly in a day before

We head straight up to the Windjammer

We always get on the ship early so we can take pictures and explore before the crowds come

We go to the dining room to see where our table will be located.

By then its time to go to our cabin and we can unpack our luggage and read the first night's activities.

We got off the Independence this morning. (did self embarkation) We lined up outside on Deck 4 with our luggage at 6 a.m. and was at the airport at 7:30 for our 10:15 flight.

My boyfriend told me to get a sewing kit and when the steward leaves a towel animal in our room at night to sew it together. LOL!

I guess I'll get my towel animal next November when I go on the Allure.

Maybe they'll restock things now that they're back from Europe? :rolleyes:

Do they still sell those little towel animals in the gift shops onboard the Independence? I've read the gift shop onboard Independence is really bad. It's been a few years since I've been on Royal Caribbean (2 other cruise lines in between) and I've always wanted to get myself one and this time I decided I will. And if they have them, how much do they cost?

We take bonine (over the counter) the day before we sail. You take it every 24 hours and it does the job. If the seas are rough, we take 2 instead of 1. Non-drowsy and we can drink alcohol too.:D

Independence, Dec. 7th, 3 more days!!!:D:D

I'm leaving Saturday also, but on the Independence. I never got that e-mail. Maybe a different pier? We leave from Pier 29.

As I will be on the Indy this coming Saturday, would you happen to have a copy of the 8 night dining room menu?

How are the clubs for dancing at night? What kind of music do they play? We like dancing to the 80's music. Do the people actually get up and dance or just sit around. When we were on our last 2 cruises no one seemed to want to get up and dance. Very disappointed as we didn't want to be the only ones on the dance floor.

Yes it was on. I think it was about 11:15 am.

The movie was terrible. I just saw it on Broadway last month and loved it. The music and dancing got the audience up out of their seats and dancing too!

I never have a bad time when I'm on a cruise. Don't let small things bother you. Just be happy your on a cruise!:D

I'm especially interested in your review and the pics because the Majesty was my first ever cruise. That's when I got the addiction. Now I will be going on my 10th cruise next week!

Wow that's exciting. I am going to be watching the parade on my t.v. as I do every year. Make sure you fly out ahead of time as we're expecting a Noreaster here and many flights are delayed.

I'm sailing in 10 days so now the days are creeping for me. What I do to pass these last grueling days...I go on cruise critic at least once an hour, go over my wardrobe, look through my paperwork to make sure I have everything organized, watch you tube videos on the ship I am sailing on and I'm watching the weather forecast to make sure I have no problems as far as flying out. I wanna go already!!!

Does anyone know who the new cruise director is on the Independence of the Seas? Last I heard it was Jeff Eaton but read that he left in September.
