  1. Hi PC Walton (or anyone else currently on the Ovation), could you do me a huge favor? I know this is a long shot but any help would be greatly appreciated. We were on last sailing that ended on 9/20 on the Ovation. Our stateroom number is 13136, we believe we left two Wells Fargo Envelopes full of cash totaling well over $4000 on the desk counter in our stateroom. We must've forgotten to pack it after leaving our stateroom attendant her tips before leaving our room. Our stateroom attendant's name is Grace. Could you kindly look her up on deck 13 and ask about it, or check with guest services. I mostly consider the money lost but figured I'll give it a try. Much appreciated!

I'm posting this because I still believe there are people who would turn it in as opposed to keeping it all even though I mostly consider the money lost. Much appreciated!

  3. Aside from Cococay, Disney's Castaway Cay seems to be in even more of a perilous place. I also heard Disney chose not to evacuate their employees off the island because they want people there to clean up after the storm ASAP. One of the employees mom was on Disney cruise forum chewing out DCL.

  4. I would imagine even if Cococay structure doesn't suffer any damage. The cleanup from Storm Surge would take awhile. I highly doubt anyone will be able to enjoy CocoCay in the next week as some hoped for earlier in this thread. I went through Harvey and Ike here in Houston,  and Ike did tremendous damage to Galveston with just 75 to 80 mph winds. It really only take winds above 60mph to do damage.

  5. I think one thing RCL or any other cruiselines should do in these cases is offer Future Cruise Credit but with a expiration of 2 years instead of 1 year. That will solve alot of the issues. It gives people more flexibility and a chance to rebook future cruises at the same possible great deal they found for the ruined hurricane cruise.

Trying to run a 2 night cruise so that they don't "cancel" absurd.  Cancel now, give guests who haven't come to FL a chance to avoid the whole mess.  Get your current guests off safely...assess any damages to CocoCay, give your crew a day or two or downtime as you run from the storm.  This 2 night itinerary is ridiculous.

Even the 2 night Bahamas cruise ship from West Palm runs away.

This reminds me of the mess up RCL did with Liberty of the Seas in Galveston during Harvey. Royal absolutely refused to cancel the sailing even though Forcast showed an unlikely scenario that Liberty would be able to dock in Galveston that Sunday. The Harbor Master closed Galveston Bay already and likely would not reopen until after Harvey passes. RCL finally canceled only a few hours before the storm hit when they finally gave into the fact that LOS wasn't going to be let into Galveston bay and moved the ship to Miami. By then many passengers already flew to Houston because Royal told them to do so or lose your money, and was stuck for a week in a flooded houston city since the whole city (including the airport) shut down for a week. That with the fact that Carnival canceled their cruise sailing on the same day well before Royal did avoiding this disaster with their passengers made Royal look even worse.

Highly doubt CocoCay (or any Bahamas ports) will be up and running by Thurs if current track holds anyways. What are they gonna do then? Have a 2 night cruise to nowhere?

I'll be really interested to see how CocoCay fares. Current track has it going almost directly over the island as a Category 4 hurricane. I know Daredevil's peak was built to withstand a 5, but there's plenty of smaller buildings that probably wouldn't fare too well. Also can't imagine the damage the storm surge will end up doing to Oasis Lagoon and such.

This was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the track this morning.

How do you explain SIgnature last 2 years and only get $ off offers - never received a monthly offer with trade in value. Only one free balcony offer besides my Signature cruise. Cruise 7-9 times per year and $1,500+ spent each cruise.

Everything's a mystery to me now. Guess I'll give up trying to crack the Club Royale "free cruise " code.

First Prime, one trip. Second Prime 2 trips. Wife was 2 trips. Never anything at offers except recent cruise cert or the Prime cruise.

Ok that's extremely wierd. That shows you're playing level is similar to mine. Do you have any current (non casino related) cruises booked with Royal on your own in the next year?

Are my wife and I the only ones to not get any of these offers ? Both are PRIME members two years running. Never any snail mail or email about an event or cruise. Except of course the annual PRIME cruise.

Get the emails about buying this package or that.

Go to www.clubroyaleoffers.com type in your last name and crown & anchor number and see if anything comes up. Also did you reach Prime over the course of just 1 or 2 cruises or did you reach it because you go on tons of cruises per year anyways and play just a few hundred per cruise which added up. That does seem to make a difference.

Just checked my clubroyaleoffers and theres two new offers listed. First there's a June Summer Sizzle which I assume is the one listed above. Then there's also a 2019 Club Royale Mediterranean Group, my offer was for a free inside. Havnt seen the list of eligible sailings yet but I'm assuming its all Mediterranean cruises.

    We are Prime.

I am not sure if they look at how many points you have but we are High Prime if there is such a thing.  Not quite the next level yet

I noticed Gayle mentioning she thinks it is related to certificates earned on most recent sailing.  My husband earned a free junior suite certificate and I earned a free balcony certificate on our last cruise.  This bankroll blitz offer came addressed to him.

This is actually good information to know if it's true that's how they decide who gets what offers. Currently I have 3 comp'ed cruises booked between September of 2019 through March of 2020 without any additional free vacation times to book anymore cruises. So based on this theory, I should play very little on my next two cruises since I don't need to earn any free cruises in the next 9 months and then go all out playing big on my final comp'ed cruise next March so I will start earning more comp'ed cruises after next March when my vacation days reset. At least I hope I have the strategy figured out 👌

There are some components of the algorithm that are unknown to us patrons however I have noticed that folks that take 2 or 3 cruises to attain Prime do not get the same offers as people that pickup cabin certs every cruise.  Even though both become Prime and enjoy some of the same benefits, the comp offers that come between cruises are definitely different.

Yea seems like your average wager per cruise gets calculated into it as well. There's also two people on here whom both stated that they're signature but also not getting free cruise offers outside of the annual free cruise (which sounds pretty unbelievable). Both also reported that they book 8-10 cruises with Royal on their own each year. I'm really starting to wonder if Royal sees you as a customer who'se likely to pay to go on their ships anyways. They would just stop sending you free cruise offers. On the other hand I cruise 2 to 3 times a year and been cruising exclusively with Royal the last 2 years only because they kept sending us comped cruises. Otherwise we'd probably try different cruiselines. In fact we canceled a Disney cruise and a Carnival Vista cruise which we wanted to try because we got unexpected comp'ed offers from Royal. Maybe they do this to also keep gamblers who aren't necessarily loyal to Royal from going to other cruiselines.

  15. Got another offer today show up in my snail mail, various sailings from 4 to 12 days (inside stateroom for 2) plus NFL game tickets for 2 after the cruise at the city where the sailing leaves from. The three that caught my eye were Sept 6th Ovation Alaska, Nov 24th Liberty (Thanksgiving sailing), and Anthem 12 day sailing on Dec 8th. Too bad I'm already fully booked for next year and out of vacation days. Looks like another one wasted 😕

What about those who booked this trip prior to April 19?  (Effectively anyone cruising this month.)

Don't matter, cruiselines are already changing their itineraries beginning with today's sailings.
