Might be 5 seats in center don't really remember seats are large and lay all the way back Very easy to maneuver you might think aisle seats for convenience to reach everyone.

Love the 777. Use as much as I can. There is no walk thru in the center seats. In business class. There are 4 together It is set up 2 seats (A-B) walk thru- 4 seats walk thru then 2 seats on the other end

Did a 24 day on Oceania. Smaller ships. Had a ph cabin (with butler) about same size as RC veranda maybe a touch wider. Good points , airfare included, (we did not use- got credit )food excellent, free soda, bottled water allowed to bring as much wine onboard. service excellent, no formal s ,average age approx 70's , )mostly very well traveled clientele. There was only . one show each evening ends at 9:30. no nightlife to speak of. .small casino. If your going for destination, the smaller ships can get to places the big ships can't Our destination was the Amazon. Can't do that with Celebrity.

Booked a sky suite on the Celebrity Solstice July 3-10. Been trying to do Alaska for years. Had to "retire "to find the time.[emoji572]️[emoji14]

I have cruise coming up in July on celebrity. When booked back in December all suites were sold out but able to get sky suite guarantee. Never been in that class suite . Final payment was due the beginning of April and as soon as final payment made,, a ton of Sky suites, celebrity suites and royal suites became available. Why because people tie up the suites with a small deposit then cancel when final payment due. The sky suite was assigned this week but to upgrade now all promotions are lost .

My last cruise Oceania was assigned 5 days before cruise .

That was so enjoyable. Really looking forward to our Alaska adventure [emoji4] thank you

Thank you so much for that fantasic video of Ketchikan. We will be there the beginning of July and noticed the dress is similar to our weather (Fla) during our "winter" . (maybe not as hot lol) good to know. The sights look just wonderful and looking forward to walking around the town after our Misty Fjords bear excursion. You have made a full day for us. Our arrangements with Celebrity were to meet at the San Diego hotel where we checked in and the busses were ready to drive us down to Ensenada. That's was another story. Arriving in Ensenada we just boarded the ship

So happy to hear the management is being changed on Oceania. . Was on a 24 day trip down the Amazon and some of the casino staff on the Regatta were shockingly rude, found out then that they were consigned and not part of the great Oceania staff. One even stated to my husband (who was one of the few using the casino )to the effect "I hope you lose". Over 650 people on board and never more than 3-6 people using casino at any one time during our cruise. Needless to say we stopped using the casino and apparently other people did too

That's one of the main reasons most people will fly to their destination port at least one day early to avoid any problems. Glad to hear your brother and family made it on the ship. Hope their cruise will be everything they dreamed of.

We did not know of the transfer arrangement with celebrity when we did a pacific coast wine tour. Fortunately we were talking with our TA and she found the transfer information for us no charge but you have to sign up for it

Any recommendations on companies for Flightseeing tours of Misty Fjords in Ketchikan?

 

I emailed Island Wings as per many recommendations here - they do have availability, but only from 12-2 and our ship departs at 3pm. I have no (okay, very little...) doubt they'll get us back in time, but I do worry that our time might get cut short in the process. It also seems to be one of the more expensive tours, at $239pp.

We are going to be in Ketchikan in early July. We originally wanted to see the Bears catching salmon. We spoke to Marty with Alaska Seaplane Tours who told us it is too early in the season for that but recommended "the Bears of the Fjords Tour" thru Misty Fjords., Includes ground transportation. Looking forward to this long awaited vacation.

Hi we are joining celebrity infinity in jan 2015 to cruise around South America.

 

Do we have to take the cruise excursions or is it ok to arrange our own shore visits. Also what would you recommend we must see.

Going on a South America tour just before you in November. We are heading up the Amazon. On debating the options of cruise tours vs private tours. We opted for private tours except one where we had no choice but to go with the cruise line. Saved alot of money, plus signed up for smaller private tours with the same passengers on my cruise forum. Looks like great tours that have been researched. A great way to "meet " before sailing .

I love planning cruises. I usually go for 7-10 days, caribbean, mexico, alaska. etc. We are going out of our safety zone on this next one. Now planning cruising down the Amazon for 24 days. Going to places never been and researching like crazy. I have a planner listing tours, ports, dinner reservations, visa's etc, My friends tell me to un"retire" and become a travel agent., Actually found this thread while looking for information for my cruise. lol.

You can try http://shuttleorlandomiami.com/. They run shuttles every day each way. Sorry don"t know the pricing. It is a 4-4.5 hour trip depending where you are being picked up.

Had major heart surgery 4 years ago including a new valve.Still have short bouts of a- fib Got Doctors clearance to go. on a 26 day cruise.. Will take my meds, Hopefully no problems. Gotta enjoy life while here. Everyday is a birthday.
