Okay this is good info! Thank you so much!
OOH I don't know that I can do that! It truly "hangs" over the water, off the edge of the ship, right? I'd LIKE to do that but there's no way I could do that. Maybe I can convince my buddy to!
That's what alcohol was invented for[emoji484][emoji481][emoji483]

There are 2 planks on Escape, and they are different - you can swing out and around from them somehow.
That is very cool. Can't wait to see it.
I wonder how that works.

Is there a weight limit on the ropes course on NCL?
We're going on the Escape and I looked online but don't see one.
My travel buddy weighs 270 and said that there's usually a limit of 250. Does anyone know?
Thanks!
Don't forget to "walk the plank" it's really cool.

RCL outdoes NCL with everything
I agree, but there is the price difference.
RCCL in my opinion has hands down the best ship innovations.
But if you want Oasis or Quantum class, you're going to pay a considerable higher per diem for it.
We still think Disney was the best overall family cruise experience.

You can see it in the pick, its just not as high as Breeze .
It's ok, I'm short[emoji2]
-
Looks good but not as cool as the Breeze for height of bucket dump. ;)
Breeze also is clearly adult sized...
Hope Escape will be usable for adults too.
I believe that Escape has a dump bucket in the kids splash area. I'm 46 and love that stuff.

I doubt he really cares nor do many others. This isn't what cruising is all about to most of us. Slides are fun for kids and a lot of adults, but if this is one of the reasons someone cruises, choose the line with the best slides, being in RCI or whatever. To each his own.
1) How do you know what "most of us"
cruise for?
2) When we started cruising it was a complete 180 from the experience it is today.
3) If "most of us" didn't want these things, the cruise lines wouldn't build these enormous floating theme parks.
4) It's called progress, even HAL is rebranding to get the younger crowd & families on there fleet.
5) The only place where I believe your statement would be true is in Las Vegas. In the late 90's they tried to lure in the family crowd. When that BACKFIRED, it was back to basics for Vegas. LEAVE THE KIDS HOME.

My bad!!! I stand corrected it is Harmony OTS.

Coast guard is underrated. Just as vital as any of the armed services. They provide an incredible service to us.
God bless all those silent heroes who protect and serve us all...[emoji631]🇨🇦

Personally, I dislike all lawyers, till I need one.
I suppose your right my friend.

BTW: I cringe when cruise news law comes up. Jim Walker is a DOUCE[emoji35]
He and his firm Walker & O'neill are the maritime equivalent of ambulance chasers.

NICE[emoji305]

RCL is building there largest ship ever the Ovation of the sea will have the lines first watermark at sea. Featuring a 10 story spiral slide "THE ABYSS" by far the longest slide of any ship.
WOW, why couldn't FDR think of that.

It's a mystery for the ages.
Somewhere in a remote mountain out west, all the cruise lines use this guarantee stateroom issuing computer.
It's an iningma wrapped in a mystery!

CRUISE SHIP SIZE MATTERS[emoji133]
-
The davits were manufactured by Davit International, the same as Breakaway.
The additional width, which is in the hull, was largely added to provide more stability to compensate for the extra decks.
Wrong on both counts. This ships water displacement may be larger, but the plimsoll line marker is identical the her smaller bros.
Unlike BA/GA decks 15-18 use a lighter
Aluminum alloy in leu of the heavier steel plates used in the lower decks.
That helps to stabilize he and make her less top heavy
Also Davits Int. subbed out to Sundex marine for the new RB75-H GST system. That's why P-P is wider.
Boo Ya!!!!
-
The only reason the the Escape is wide is two fold.
They extended the walking area of the waterfront. And the width is not the Hull width. It's the point to point widest part of the ship.
Meyer Wreft Is using a new sub contractor of the life boat davits. They are approx 11" wider than the (away) class. That makes up the wider ships beam.
So, unless the rooms are shorter the balc should be the same as the aways. Maybe with a very few exceptions.

Check to see if you received an email. But check your spam folder.
I pre paid my grats also, I checked and the conformation email was in my spam folder.
-
No, not true! Where did you read that.
It may be time for a thicker pair of glasses!
-
We found the wine selection on NCL to be very diversified. Prices were slightly less then I am used to paying at a local restaurant.
And with the new Mondavi wine bar, I read there will be selections only available to NCL as (private vintage)
-
It's the angle the photo was taken at. The straight part is for the adjacent balcony. The dividers haven't been closed yet either, which makes it hard to tell where one balcony stops and the other begins.
I disagree on all standard balcs. It's a single pane divider. They are closed. I've (at least the ones in the pic in question) there are several other photos that confirm it.
And as the angle balcs go. They are no different than BA/GA. Again there are several pics to back that up as well.
But, the particular angle in that photo, really throws you off.

@Barnacle:
Somebody painted a fish for nothing... ;)
No silly,
That is a painting of the freestyle fire farting fish.
NCL - do not do business with this cruise line, they renege on agreements

My sister in law works for Sabre as a systems programer . I just sent her a text. Even she said NO WAY. No commercial airline books over 365 days out.
