  1. Clean teeth are clean teeth! Worry less about what other people do and enjoy vacation more.
  2. I give kudos to the lady exercising and flossing her teeth!
  3. True. And we don't travel with a massive amount of stuff. I plan on price watching to see if upgrading goes does, or we may put in royal up bids for even a boardwalk balcony. For the amount we're in our cabin, this being our first interior may or may not enjoy it. We shall see. Excited for our first b2b though
  4. So as a follow up, decided to use my casino offer in another way. Ended up booking the following week on oasis so we can do our first ever back to back. Was able to get the same interior for both weeks, so may or may not try to Royal up.
  5. Right now, upgrading to lowest category oceanview balcony is about a grand. No thanks. Lol.
  6. One thing I considered is doing a free 3 day on Freedom, get off the ship and go down the cruise port and hop on Indy for the 5 nighter, so a total of 8 nights. Could also do that with free cruises, but felt like more work than keeping oasis.
  7. Currently I have the Oasis booked in February. It's a free casino cruise, so only paid port fees and taxes. It's a 7 day, goes to Nassau, Coco cay, Labadee, and Falmouth. Lackluster at best. Our cabin is just an interior. For the same week, I can book a different free casino cruise on Independence of the seas. It's only a 5 nighter, goes to Falmouth and Nassau. With this cruise, we'd be able to get a junior suite comped. I've gone back and forth on just keeping what we have or moving to Indy. We've sailed on both ships and been to all islands for both.
  8. I ask my wife this question all the time and then it's quickly followed by her yelling "wrong one!!" 🤷
  9. I'm leaning towards keeping 10:30. Economy for 6 hours doesn't sound enjoyable
  10. Looks like the only other ship in that day is Brilliant Lady which helps. I figure outside of the agricultural line, we'll be able to bypass any line at the United check in due to first class and at tsa for precheck, so it's just any hangup getting off the ship or agricultural line.
  11. My options are basically keep what we have and get off the ship right away carrying our luggage for 10:30, or cancel and get a refund and pay about the same amount of money on Delta however economy on Delta is the same price as what we paid for 1st class on United..
  12. For those who have sailed in the last year or so out of San Juan, is a 10:30am flight after the cruise do able? I seem to remember a few years ago San Juan wasn't the most organized port or airport. We'd be checking bags but do have pre check. United changed our flight and 10:30am is the latest departure so it's either keep that or cancel for a refund and pay more for another airline.
  13. There is, which is what we've done in the past, but to go from interior to balcony on this sailing is like $1400. Not worth it.
  14. This will potentially be our first ever cruise in an interior room assuming no royal up wins. I've always insisted we have a balcony, but the last handful of cruises, I've found me using the balcony less and less. I'd be out there waking up, but then on a sea day, we head to the pool for the day until dinner. I'd sit on the balcony while wife is gr getting ready, then we'd leave for dinner and not be back in the room until 1 or 2am. Total balcony time maybe an hour? I like people watching and music, which is why we do the pool deck. I'm really hoping we don't mind the interior because it'd make cruising even cheaper without ever paying upgrade fees. Some casino offers include Balconies, others just interior. This is cruise 18 I believe and first in an interior.
  15. We'll actually be on Wonder about 3 weeks after this 🙂
  16. Yeah we still deal with pto unfortunately. Although, we're way more fortunate in the pto category as you can tell with all the cruises are have booked already.
  17. We have a cabin booked under the puzzle break room on Wonder. Should I be concerned of noise late at night? Like, midnight on? I think we're safe from adventure ocean, at least after midnight or so.
  18. That's kind of my thought. Icon will be available for casino bookings in 2025, so by waiting a year, we'll likely get on her in 2025 for a casino comp. Just killed me giving up the aft room and pricing since it's so expensive now. More so fomo I think. But to your point, I love oasis class and a free 7 night cruise is better than paying $3400 for a week long cruise.
  19. I'm pretty positive I should have paid the change fee and not been refunded the difference from the nrd but I certainly wasn't going to question it lol
  20. Unfortunately no. We already have cruises booked for January, Feb, March, April and may. Lol.
  21. Called back. Didn't fully understand what all took place, but canceled my booking I made earlier today on oasis. He then moved my icon booking to oasis, and then reapplied my casino comp. He originally said I owed $100 pp change fee, took my card number, then came back and said I didn't owe a change fee because of ????. So, I should be getting $345 back from the Oasis sailing from Port fees and taxes, and he said I'd get back about $280 from my icon booking since the $600 I paid was in excess of the port fees and taxes? We'll see what actually happens.
  22. Such a good point. The amount of kids in general freaked me out
  23. Killssss me losing the aft balcony on Icon, but a free cruise is better than a $3,400 cruise lol. Figure we can always do Icon the following year or something.
  24. I'm thinking what I should have done is changed my icon sailing to oasis, ate the $100 change fee, and then applied my tier benefit to that sailing to zero it out. I think. Maybe. Lol.
