I don't know if this is important to you but the balconies on Caribbean Princess look down on each other, instead of down at the water. I don't like that at all. Got to have my water view! :D

Does anyone have the current Portofino menu (2013) for the few ships with Porofinos remaining?
You should be able to find it here.....http://www.royalcaribbeanpresscenter.com/press-kit/9/culinary-press-kit/

Happy for you!! LOVE those HUMP cabins!! :D

I will be experiencing the new menu for the first time on my cruise in 26 days. My mouth is watering!!!!!! :D
-
I'm not sure if I would like to be on a cruise ship 365 days a year. I would be happy just to be able to cruise every 3 months or so......:D

Since the Thanksgiving/Christmas season is my favorite time of the year, I don't mind the Christmas music. It makes me feel like a kid again. :D

yes starting the end of this month she's sailing from galveston on a permanent basis (except for her extensive dry dock in jan/feb 2014).

We loved Portfino, but once we experienced Giovanni's..it blew away Portofino.
May have been the service, the changed atmosphere, the menu...but last time, we booked it for 3 nights on our Mariner cruise.
And, it far, far, far outdistances Chops. The food in Chops is good, not great, but Chops come in a very distant second for the service levels...Got the same feeling on both Voyager and Mariner.
We also have reservations at Chops. :)

Sorry it took so long......
We love Giovanni's ! Lunch is way past outstanding! And we had a salad for dinner because we ate so much at lunch that day. It was so obvious how much we loved it that the manager invited us back "anytime, no cover, just you come and enjoy." wish I could write that with his satisfied smile and accent. :)
Thanks...We have dinner reservations at Portafino's on the last formal night. :)

We also had to cancel a cruise years ago. I cried for days. It was a lot worse than I thought it would be, and I really went through a pretty serious depression. We didn't book another cruise for a couple of years after that. That was a tough time and I hope I never have to cancel another but you just never know. Stuff happens. :(

It is already on the deck plans! Portofino gone. Giovanni's in its place. Yum! Yum! :D
Which one is better? :)

Seems Royal Caribbean smoking policy is costing them.Could have been handled better. :)
I hope so! The less smokers, the better for everyone. :D

I stayed in 9614 on my last cruise in 2010! It was great! Here is the link to my photo album which starts off with the photos, about 6 of them, of the room and balcony. Hope this helps. Mid-way through the album there Is also a view looking down the ship from the hump balcony.

Thank you for sharing your pictures! Now I'm even MORE excited! :D

We have stayed in 9614. It seems a little larger than cabins off the hump but it is really just the shape. You will love the sitting area in your JS. The balcony has room to enjoy a meal! The walk in closet is large enough to change clothes inside. You will be spoiled! Enjoy! :D. I know you will!
I can't wait to have the extra room! :D

We have these two cabins booked for next year. It will be our first time on the port side and also our first JS, so we're super excited! Anyone stay in either of these cabins on the Navigator? :D

Could someone please tell me where exactly is the honey stung chicken located in the Windjammer? I want to try it! :D
-
I don't remember the name of it but there's an Indian salad to die for. I could eat it everyday. :D
-
We've always booked a cabin on the starboard side. Maybe because I'm right - handed.

That's very interesting! I'll be on her before and after the referb. :)

Passports are recommended, but not required. If you don't have a passport and choose not to apply and get one, then you'll need to have a certified copy of your birth certificate.
My daughter and I were able to fly back to the US from Mexico while on a cruise without passports. She got very sick and ended up in a Progresso Hospital. Our birth certificates worked just fine. :)

OK, I'll add to this old thread rather than start another.Planning a sailing for three of us (adding granddaughter, 13yrs) on Navigator next summer:)
Have a hold on D1 9320, deckplan says sofabed for the third passenger. So, the question is how big is that, single or double and does it block traffic once made up? Currently booked in E1 which has pullman as the third.
So, trying to decide whether to switch to the D1 (only abt $120 more, tot). Anyone got a relevant pic ?
Thanks
Lucky you! And lucky me too! We have 9320 on our upcoming cruise on Navigator also! :D

Head of bed toward bow?
It really doesn't matter to me, as long as I'm cruising! :D

i don't know about the staterooms, but the ship decorations start right after thanksgiving.

I like Galveston because it's a quick 3 hr. flight instead of 5+ to Florida, and the port is small, so none of the Miami/FLL hassles. And you get to sail with Them Craaaaazy Texans, the best group around to sail with!!:D
Thank you!!! :D
