It's 'suite-only' for MDR room service, and like Pam said, the lobster is not what you may be used to. It's average.
In the MDR, we always ask our waiter(s) about Chef's specials, and more importantly, the most popular entrees of the night.

Awesome! Thanks for the link!

I'm with you! We had this type of card on Princess last fall and it was fantastic!

I was confused about this too. I also had troubles with the site today, for obvious reasons. Once I got through, it didn't seem as though this was well explained. Is there a link to a detailed description that I missed?

OMG puppy! :)
Looking forward to the rest of your review!

I'm cruising on Freedom in May, so my cabin selection is already set pretty much. However, if I was to cruise on Freedom again, how early do you have to book to get a cabin like 1400 or 1700? A year in advance?
Pretty much. They are the first two cabins to go. We got really lucky. I was doing a random cabin search and found 1400 showing as available two or three months before our cruise. I freaked out and initiated an online chat with RCI. The said it was indeed available and had me call the 800 number to transfer cabins. Even the person I spoke to couldn't believe it. Must have been booked by a travel agent and then released later.

Yep, if you can get 'em, 1400 & 1700 are the best. I miss 1400 so much :)

Looks like we're in store for a nice parade of ships beginning in about an hour :)

Cruise lines are in business for one reason...to make money. Could this be in response to Princess "saying" they are going to crack down on their somewhat hands off approach to bringing wine on board by now restricting people to one bottle per person?
Get on a level playing field with Princess and hope for more market share?
Hmm.

We are on Indy in 1700 as well in December. Does the attendant make up the bed each night or does it stay open for the duration?
Yes, they will make the bed every day unless you have the "Do not disturb" sign out. The cool thing is, with all the suites nearby, you tend to get some of the better stateroom attendants.

and of course can't forget the wake view!
Ahhhh, you're so right. Best cup of morning coffee of my life! ...and the coffee sucked :D

We have 1400 on Independence in January...I will take lots of photos! We also will have 4 in the cabin- it looks much wider, more like a JS!
It basically is a JS, only without the bathtub and walk in closet :)
-
You scored BIG! We had 1400 on FOS in January and it was awesome! I can post pics when I get home tonight.

Royal Caribbean really needs to think about putting coffee makers in all cabins. I would be more than willing to bring my own coffee and special creamers if they would have the makers in the rooms.
That would only result in a loss of revenue and a headache for the stateroom attendants. Not to mention the safety concerns.

GS and above have a french press and a small electric pot to heat water, unless something changed recently.

We're just off Star four days ago. I was surprised to see the Sanctuary virtually empty every time we passed by. I can't remember ever seeing more than three passengers in there at any given time. Then again, there were very few children on our cruise; I imagine it would be different at X-Mas, Summer break, etc. They did offer the 'full cruise' option when we went to look at it shortly after we boarded the ship.

30 Days! :D

Oasis is pulling up the ropes right now.

Cool. I'm in 8556 and was wondering if it was going to be under it.
Thanks!
It sure looks as though you'll be directly under the leading edge of the port side hot tub :)

I think it's 1260 and 1560.

Sorry for your loss Graham. That's tragic :(
We were happy to spend a bit of time with you last February. Hope all is well for you in the future.
Best Wishes,

I always answer the door wearing nothing. Why do they always just run away before you can even tip them?!
