It is bizarre... It is even more bizarre taking into account that until 1982 the airline was flying 7 days a week. But, in 1982, the ultra religious party got the upper hand... and the airline started to keep the Shabbat/Saturday (Shabbat starts with sundown on Friday until sundown on Saturday, but since there is also no public transportation, people who work need to get home a lot earlier than sundown, same with arriving to work, they have to wait until public transportation starts again, usually at least 2 hours after sundown...). One of the reasons people need to have cars is to be able to visit family/friends during the Shabbat.... I never said we're a "normal" country in so many counts 😢 Oh, I just remembered that I went to the supermarket to complete some missing items, and one of them was soya sauce. The condiments' shelves was partially covered with a sheet, I moved the sheet a bit and took the soya bottle. When I got to the cashier, she told me that I cannot buy it, since it is not Passover approved/kosher, and the bar code was blocked from accepting payment for this [and other not Passover approved] items.... I rest my case.

Thanks, aussie. I've started today, seeing that DH is much better and after the almost 10 days Passover holiday, when everything is at standstill. It's quite a nightmare. I've booked this trip last October, the flight between Marrakech and Madrid was a mere 62$ pp. Now, the cheapest one is 250$ pp !!! Same with the Madrid hotel -- 180 Euro v. 454 Euro now.... The excellent riad [room] I've booked in Marrakech is fully booked. Found another, hopefully it will be up to standard. Our flights were booked with the national company, which doesn't fly from Friday afternoon until late Saturday night. We have to "work" around this limit.... They gave us the option to re-schedule, and to apply the actual rates on top of what we've paid. I didn't want to add so much, and I've managed to find one flight at the original rates. This one and only date impacted the other dates/hotels. The visa also expires in August. The good season to visit is March-May or Sep/Oct and I want to do it NOW....

@Ozark_Kid John, After "entertaining" the grandsons [the best remedy when feeling low] 3 days in a row, I just read the sad news. I'm in awe at the nicest things expressed by so many here. As usual, when it came to expressing myself in English from the bottom of my heart, I'm at loss of words. There were so many whom I would had like to quote, but didn't want to take so much space. You and your family were, are and will be in my thoughts 😘 (((( )))).

+ 1 @A&L_Ont Thank you, Andrew, for the amazing video, giving me a perspective I know I'll never experience, since I'm so afraid of flying 🙏 And, speaking of Vegas, which Andrew made me to visit again.... Bob @bobmacliberty, Please help me understand... we're diamond on RC. We have to actually book a room in MGM, stay there, let's say for a night, in order to qualify to book a room at CP at a reduced rate? Thanks 🙏

Thank you so much 🙏, Graham, for pointing this out. DH is also prescribed 75mg Aspirin, but without the Lanzoprazol.... May be the Aspirin coupled with the pain pill had a double adverse effect. I'm going to check it with my pharmacist cousin, who, from the very beginning, was baffled that the coating pill was not prescribed.... And, yes, the omeprazole was prescribed for 2 weeks only.

Finally, we found out what's causing the pain, and it's what I've feared all along....Monday, more than 3 weeks after the pain started, DH had intestinal bleeding. Still, our family dr is MIA, and we couldn't find another dr. I spoke with the emergency contact at Maccabi, and they sent us to a family dr, who luckily, didn't take time off during Passover. He immediately prescribed Omeprazole, to be taken half an hour before eating. The improvement in pain started 2 days after. PITY this pill wasn't prescribed together with the pain pill. We would have been in a whole different, pain free situation, by now. Even went ahead with our planed trip.... So, as a lesson from our "experience" -- whenever you're prescribed a strong pain pill, ask for an additional pill which will coat your intestine/stomach against adverse side effects. I'm so disappointed in our family dr, that he didn't bother to do just that.

Oh, Bonnie, we're all evening glued to the TV. DS2 told us yesterday at the seder that they'll travel today to a long awaited by the grandsons trip to a camping site at Kibbutz Dafna (near the Lebanon border). We said "enjoy". "take care on the roads", and see you on Saturday... And at 3PM, the biggest amount of rockets since 2006 !!!!! was launched from Lebanon towards the north of Israel. They are safe, for the moment. Sleeping in a tent..... They'll be cutting short their holiday and leave tomorrow instead of Saturday. I'm pondering a sleeping pill to get me through the night...............

I really don't think that a land tour vs cruise is full proof in Israel's case.... Assuming you'll book your land tour at least 2 weeks in advance -- look what happened here in the last day - rockets from Gaza strip. Well, WE are used to it. The last year was very quiet on this front, so it was quite unexpected. BUT, today in the early afternoon, a huge amount of rockets was launched from Lebanon to the north of Israel. So many rockets were not launched against us since 2006 !!!! DS2 took his 2 young kids this very morning to a long awaited camping holiday in the north. Speaking of timing and location.... Many left, many cancelled. He and his wife decided to stay. Land tour or cruise? -- sadly, it's just a matter of sheer luck 😢
