Doing Christmas cruise on Valor. Have not used their Spa area before. Do they have day or entire cruise passes available and pricing? Thanks everyone

What is the current price for 5 day?
-
Why not pick up a bottle of wine, some food from the port and go enjoy?

Groupings are...shall we say unique? Get the gist, however all lines are up, Economics 101. What I would add is many cruisers started after 9/11 when all lines tanked prices to get the ships sailing full again. Then came the housing crash in States, again prices were artificially kept lower for ships to sail fuller. Now a more stable economy plus higher demand due to great social media marketing and you again have a market adjustment except this time it is higher. Check different lines and assess your value vs cost. Happy Sailing

Not the primary demographic of Celebrity. The OP's request is such a minority position that would not be cost effective .

Thanks all. Bruce, my apologies. In a cast and typing with 1 finger in wrong hand.....NA it will be. Ended up flipping a coinπ

10$ difference between two ships, same itinerary. Suggestions?

Different marketing profile. Not the line if you need to be constantly entertained, why we sail in it so frequentlyπ

Not like it was even 10 years ago. Almost all sail full. Huge profit by lines in using former bridge seasons as group and specialty cruises.Β

pretty same on all cruises we've been pricing, not just Celebrity

Iβm always amazed at the interest people express about internet utilization on the ships. IMO, I want to get away from all that stuff when on a cruise. I can see checking once or twice a day if you have any important messages, but beyond that you might as well stay home. Yet on every cruise I see people constantly checking phones and pads for various things. Come on folks, youβre supposed to be on Vacation !
Because sometimes I have to actually work to pay for that vacationπ

I've seen it at $49 but I've also seen it for $69 per day. Also remember that they are not always available.

Anyone know when next scheduled update if menus will be?

i cruise solo and pick the sailings that interest me and pay the price i am willing to pay.

I just returned from a solo cruise in an oceanview and didn't have the drinks package at all, so you must have booked under a different promotion. But the drinks package includes non-alcoholic beverages, so it's not like you can't drink those even if you don't drink alcohol.

We are sailing in Aqua class on the Equinox on the 28th of July. I have been following menus on the Celebrity App. We sailed in a regular cabin last summer and I loved the food in the MDR and we got our Aqua cabin for an amazing price this summer. Anyway I do not eat pork, tuna, lamb or duck. And I only eat most fish in moderation. I also have to limit my corn intake. I am noticing a very limited selection of food I will am able to eat , or choose to eat. I typically live off of chicken and beef at home with the occasional seafood or salmon and a pasta dish. However I am seeing that the chicken and salmon dishes are all roasted and not the kind of flavored dishes I am used to, and the steak appears to be the very basic steak. Worried I am going to be disappointed by blu and end up eating in the buffet the whole trip. I usually get a cesar salad, shrimp cocktail and a seafood or beef/chicken entree every night and use pasta with marinara as a backup. I have to be very careful about what I eat due to a chronic pain condition, I unfortunately have a lot of food triggers which will cause pain flares. Should I be worried about food? I have cruised successfully many times on many lines and this is the first time I am worried.
I'm a bit confused, did you not check Blu prior to booking Aqua class? My recommendation is quite simple, contact special needs department and have them work with you on specifics.

Welcome to the familyπ

They are two very different brands, that is the point. Royal targets families. Celebrity targets adults. Royal markets middle class, Celebrity markets upper middle class. That's their demographics. Royal designed with ships as the destination, Celebrity designs as the ship bringing you to port in a Mercedes. More sophisticated with assumption passenger doesn't need to be hand held or entertained hourly. Lots of terrific options on beautiful ships and terrific opportunities to meet, sit, chat and enjoy. Great choice and I'm sure you'll enjoy the differences.
Happy sailing

Celebrity is a class above its sister company Royal, both in food and service. On Celebrity, the food is not just different, it is much better. We enjoyed gourmet food on all our Celebrity cruises, with lobster, jumbo prawns, etc.
Royal has more action, activities and entertainment; ideally suited for families, young and middle aged adults.
Celebrity attracts a lot of seniors over 70 years.
Β
Over 70? Come on now that's a gross misjudgement of their customer base by a long shot.
