  1. I submitted a photo of my Charles Schwab letter and two days later got confirmation of acceptance. I then put in my booking number, I got an automatic response that usually you have to apply four weeks before a cruise but they will try and I should hear back in five days. My cruise is in 11 days

  2. I"m new to Princess. I'm taking a four night cruise on the Discovery Princess later this month. After doing some research I want to upgrade from plus to premier and dine in the specialty restaurants at night. The only online reservations are for Sabbatinis. What is the chances that I would be able to get a reservation on board for The Cactch and the Crown Grill?

  3. My sister has taken several Cunard cruises. She booked them through my U.S travel agent. She usually gets her Gold benefits. This time she booked with a UK agent since she lives in the Uk. Cunard issued her a new world club number and that's what's on all her paperwork and boarding pass. She called them  (UK office) to tell them she's not a new member and she has a world club account already. They told her nothing can be done to "marry her bookings" and that she will remain as a new member and won't get any benefits on our upcoming cruise this month on the Queen Victoria. Need some advice please

    But not “my” Phil! 😎

I was in awe of how grown-up your daughter was (and of your DH’s socks).

Oh he has quite the sock collection! He will be chuffed you noticed 🙂

Muriel take a look at the date of your cruise if you can find it.

In our case, I just looked up ours and we boarded San Francisco May 6, 2016. We boarded late because of a big delay getting the world cruisers off. We stopped in Astoria, Seattle, Victoria and ended in Vancouver. WE only came in for that one cruise as we weren't going to return until NWP. It was a lovely cruise. If you were on that one I didn't realize it unless you were on a later one but maybe they did another one after the Hawaii cruise. Just curious when you were on.

Hi Keith I checked the date and we were on June 13th to 19th approximately. I also randomly remember when we were docked in Seattle I was talking to Phil on the pool deck about his wife being pregnant and he was looking forward to the new baby

  6. My trip from hell was on one of the Seabourn little sisters. We were crossing the Bay of Lyon I think, and the ship was tossing in high seas. The dining room was closed and you could only get room service. If you lay perfectly still you could temper the sea sickness but if you needed to get up to use the bathroom oh, how your stomach rolled, not to mention the floor pitching. In the cabin across the hall from us the high seas busted in the cabin window. The water poured in and ruined a lot of the belongings of the cabin occupants, not to mention scaring the holy heck out of them. They had to bring industrial fans for the hall carpets and run them constantly. The main door for the ship also got damaged and we had to limp into dry dock in Lisbon.

History and Wine and nnn are correct.  I had looked at bringing the family on and in our case for one of the families I need a standard room and then a suite with a connecting standard room. We were told that the Aquramarine would accommodate three. We couldn't make it work as there are a limited number of rooms with a connecting door and they were all booked.

That's great to hear. Time to back and look at itineraries 🙂

  8. The biggest surprise for me was not a good one. New Crystal is only allowing triple occupancy in Sapphire level suites and above. We have a kid who loves Crystal. Not willing to shell out the bucks for a large suite while new Crystal is unknown. I refunded my advance deposits since I'm not booking anything on Crystal any time soon.

    Bummer, Julie.

On Symphony, there are two connecting on Deck Five. I’m guessing you’re looking at Serenity, though.

Yep Muriel. It never occurred to me that they wouldn't allow triples except in the largest suites. Back to the drawing board 😞
