I think the Golden is a better choice for a longer cruise. More dining/drinking choices, and the indoor pool makes it a better all weather ship.

I'd be bored silly after a few days on the Sun/Sea/Dawn if it wasn't warm enough to be up on the outside decks.

And Anytime Dining on the Golden, too.

    .

    Spot on cb.

Those three old clunkers should be pensioned off for any cruise over two weeks duration!

Not to mention either that the Sun is still not up to scratch even after it's latest dry-dock "Spruce up",

it is still missing ports of call & can't reach its top speed in perfect conditions let alone any unforseen circumstances.

If it makes the 2016 circle Pacific without any dramas at all, that will surprise the heck out of me.

At the very least Princess has seen fit to replace it with the larger ship for the same cruise in 2017, so all is not lost on them making "some" good decisions.

    Cheers r

Arrived in Singapore. Regent was parked next to us. At airport waiting for check in to open for flight to rome.

Cruise was good. Few little minuses. 1000 passengers got off today. The rest plus the newbies boarding today hopped on.

Nearly worked through gin cocktail list. Will have to start on the celebrity one now. Favourite drink london libation. Hated the bramble.

I just love the people who wish the staff were paid an aussie wage.

Obviously they don't realise the cheapest fare would be in the 4/500 dollars a day each.

On my countless cruises I noticed the one's who whinge the most re tipping are usually in suites.

Just handover a few bucks it wont kill you.

It's too funny for words mate but still a laugh a minute reading Tipping, Formal attire and Laundry threads.

Also if you can do me a favour and rejig your signature cruise list to what's below then go post in this thread

The beauty of Cruise Critic iPhone app is that it ignores all add-ons, including signatures!

Aaah nearly perfect, now if it could only filter whining Kiwis, redneck Queenslanders, two headed Tasmanians, Serial killing South Australians and boring Mexicans it would be darn near nirvana, eh...

    There is an easy solution.

I think it should be mandatory for all fat arsed fools that are obese & morbidly obese who cruise be given no option but to be put over the side when coming & leaving dockside to replace the side thrusters.

Hanging a few choccie eclairs in front of their honkers as incentive to kick harder should do the trick.

Eco friendly, lose a few to sharks, entertain the rest of the fine human specimens left up topside, divert & keep the whingers occupied thus educate the kiddies on the perils of gluttony inactivity and a failure to launch the everything in moderation mantra.

In summary Yo momma's so fat, one can see distorted images of objects directly behind her due to the effects of gravitational lensing!

    Cheers r

Ah, nice to see we moved on from dress code discussions to laundry discussions.

I always feel so much better about myself when I am judging someone else.

    .

    .

    LOL

It's hilarious isn't it, cracks me up every time I read these old chestnuts. :p

Funnier even still is the fact that the vast majority of residents would consider that huge hulking diesel spewing, white rust stained monstrosity, to be the height of visual pollution ruining their uninterrupted beautiful port views.

Funnier again you have now pulled the compulsory TROLL call the first resort to anyone who cannot stand to be disagreed with or have an alternate opinion with, anonymously of course (YOU... YOU.. Wouldn't do that to my face GGGGRRRR!!!!shaking both fists) lol... side - splitting pure comedy gold!

Thanks you have brightened yet another dull as dishwater thread, congrats I doff my Oakland Athletics baseball cap as I kick orf me thongs bending over exposing my plumbers crack to pluck out a tinnie from the chilli-bin bro as I flick my ciggi skyward. lol Here's to your very good health keep upsetting the dog's kanackers fanciers of this world you have a friend in me.

Same to you old son, and happy cruising.

Yes I just read about the incident on Kokoda, not good for PNG tourism.

    Up the red and greens.

    .

    Thanks.

Not good at all, they will need to knock that on the head quick smart!

We have few friends heading up to the track over the next couple of months.

One thing it will probably result in is the safest time to go now this terrible incident has happened.

Just atm trying to convince the child-bride we need to hop over the ditch to see the Cardinal & Myrtles in the rugby league nines comp as we are the defending champions, but not having much joy yet.

    Go the Mighty rabbs!

    Sorry meant in North America.:D

It is treated as that big state between Alaska & the mainland anyway! :o

Similar to us and those couple of shaky Isles appendage states across the dutch.

What is the NZ Dinar currently at?

Still lower than our Peso. :p

Belated Christmas & New Year wishes matey. ;)

That's not nice, the North Americans are our allies, protecting us from those bad guys up north.

God Bless America and Australia too, may as well bless NZ and Canada as well.

    Lol, G'day Uncle Les

Belated Christmas & New Year wishes mate.

Always loved a good Yank! :D

Also never forget the fuzzy wuzzy angels in PNG too.

Bit of nastiness on the Kokoda overnight though from all reports.

A few more days at Sea...mmmmmmmm.

    Then Adelaide

Docked at Outer Harbour, train into town.

Our son lived in Adelaide while he was at Uni, so really just a wander around, one shop I really wanted to visit (after a pen for our Daughter as a present for her admission) no longer existed.

Got a few funny looks when I mentioned to some people that we were buying her a pen, they thought we were tightwads

Obviosly they were thinking $1 for a brio or maybe a few dollars for a rollerball, Or even $25 or so for a Parker was thinking a few hundred for a Visconti, or Mont Blanc or something similar.

    .

...Obviously the heathens don't realise it is a mightier than the sword variety, mate? ;)

    Bloody Bolshies!

What Australian cricket team do you play for ?

    .

    .

Possibly the same one that all supports a Rugby Team in a country where it is only the 5th most popular sport and not a religion yet can easily make a World Cup final.

Oh BTW congrats "lil sis" on not choking for once, well played World Chumps.

Good luck with the Sri Lanka series more your Countries cricket team level.
