  1. I agree with this, St Tropez is an excellent product. A little pricier than the others but SO worth it.

I can't lay out in the sun because i'm very fair but I like a bit of color.

I always use a sunless tanner before I cruise, especially since I can only spend limited time in the sun. I recommend about 10 days to 2 weeks start using a really good product (St. Tropez for example) every other day and moisturize really well on the alternate days. Then, take the same brand in misting spray form or tan towels with you to keep it fresh. Begin with a creamy mouse or lotion formula because they last longer.

The spray tans that I get at a salon come right off when I workout. I've found that largely you get what you pay for with self-applied products, so splurge. The cheaper ones don't last as well, and they tend to produce the oompa-loompa orange look.

  2. @jdragr

Your posts with those gorgeous dresses definitely inspired me! I've always loved fashion and wearing formalwear. I worked in fashion retail for years and I live to get invited to galas or weddings just so I can pick out the perfect gown. However, the last few years have been filled with lots of challenges and pressures so I put on some weight and stopped shopping so much (that part isn't necessarily a bad thing! ;)). I was not really looking forward to picking out dresses to wear for the 2 formal nights on my cruises. Nothing I already have in my closet fits. I started out focusing on helping my daughter pick out some dresses and bit the bullet and picked out these two for myself. They're from Cache and I used a Groupon to get them for 25% off already super low prices. Thankfully, I have shoes I can wear with both of them- gold and silver strappy heels.

I really hope they fit because they're final sale...

    (sorry for the slight blurriness)

I'm sure you will look stunning. They are beautiful!

  3. If you mean Orlando International (MCO), that's about 45 minutes from the port. While you're flight time is earlier than I would have chosen, it is possible to make it, though if there are any delays at all, you will be out of luck.

To increase your chances of making it, I'd pick self-assist departure (carry your own bags off), and a private car service, so you don't have to wait for a van to fill up. You could be at the airport by 8:30am if all goes well.

Thank you! We booked a private car service. I think what panicked me was when I spoke to RCI today and they told me you're not going to make it, its 1hr30 minutes and you should never book flights before 12pm.... dont think i'll be doing this again! ha.

  4. We are sailing on RCI, Freedom of the seas and our flights have mistakenly been booked for a 10.25am departure from Orlando. On previous Cruise ships we have docked at 5am and been able to get off quite quickly. Does anyone know if this is the same with Freedom and if we will make our flights? I realize Orlando is a good 1hr30min drive away. I called Delta and its $200 per person to change.... :(
