  1. We are just back home from the Sojourn in Asia. We were happy to see that there was a large number of guest very well dressed. On the two formal nights many men wore tuxedo and we even saw some ladies in a long, elegant dress. It does give the formal evenings a nice athmosphere.

I usually wear a summer jacket on casual nights, also because the airco can get a bit chilly in the main dining room and the grand salon.

The 'formal optional' gives everybody a change to dress as they like. We enjoy dressing up, others may not. And definitely no one should be confined to their cabin because of a dresscode. We are on a holiday after all.

  2. I need a little help here.

For the first time we have booked a guarantee. We are one week out of boarding and still have no suite assigned. If I go to my booking, then online check in (which i have completed) and enter my bookingsnumber it shows that our suitetype is SU, what does that mean? We have booked veranda, so shouldn't it say VS?

  3. The thing i remember from the washing rooms is that i walked past it really fast, eyes fixed to the floor. Why, in heaven, would anyone do the laundry when on holiday? there is laundry service on board Seabourn ships, so use that and go back outside on deck with a glass of something nice and cold and enjoy your holiday.

  4. I case you fly to St Martin for your pre cruise stay, do stay on the french side of the island. It is so much more beautiful then the dutch side, and the food is to die for. The dutch side is soooo touristy, ugly and overfilled. And this is coming from a dutch guy.....

  5. Dear TheCat,

We will be with you on the sojourn from HongKong to Singapore. We are so excited as we have not been to the Philipines. I posted a question about things to do in the Philipine ports we will be visiting and got some very nice answers and interesting information from some nice seabourn travellers. You might want to check that out.

  6. Thank you for taking the time to write these wonderful informations.

In the meantime we have booked the flights and the sojourn for this trip and are very excited about it. It will be the first time on one of the bigger sisters, we have done the small sisters six times and loved them. The Legend being our last cruise sofar.

  7. Hello Everybody,

Is anyone familiar with the ports of call in the Philippines? We are about to book the Sojourn for January 2017 from Hong Kong to Singapore via the Philippines. Would be wonderful if someone has any information on it.

  8. We are back from a 14 day cruise from st Maarten on the Legend. It has been a wonderful trip.

We got to know the cruisedirector Aaron, as we had dinner with him on the first night. He is a nice guy. The whole entertainment team was great, as was the service, as always, on seabourn.

Captain Dag was stearing the wheel. We have been with him on three different cruises, he is a most sympathtic man who can tell great stories about his life on the seven seas.

In anguilla we just went to the viceroy hotel in the afternoon, very nice with a wonderful beach.

On anguilla we went to the pristine half moon bay for swimming in the waves, one of my fav. beaches in the caribbean.

On bonaire i had prebooked a tour by tours by locals dot com. We loved the island and our guide was just great.

Aruba on a sunday is closed down, no shopping for the shoppers.

In willemstad, curacao we did an extensive city tour organised by a local friend. The houses and hystorie are very interesting, as is the harbour with the swingbridge.

Our favourite and most beautiful island had to be Dominica on this trip. We did the whale-trip organised by seabourn in the morning and afterwards hoped inmedeately into a cab to the waterfalls. Nature is at is oppulent here and we had the falls to our selves in the afternoon. Gorgeous.

The ship is in excelent condition and i must admit that i do love the old small sisters a lot. Sorry to see them go.
