  2. I just got a great offer for Casino rates in July on Horizon, then I see this on the website. What gives????

Carnival plans to operate the following August sailings with vaccinated guests. We will be providing more details directly to guests next week on guidelines and protocols.

    • Carnival Horizon® from Miami starting August 1, 2021
  3. Just my opinion, but I think it is unethical of RC to still be selling bookings for June cruises when we all know there is no way they will sail. 30 days out from their tentative 6/12 restart and no announcements. How can a company expect people to change plans and bookings with that sort of notice, especially when every other cruise company in the world has already pushed out and came up with legit restart plans weeks ago.

  4. I am on the sailing June 7th, and have paid in full since we are past the final payment date. Does anyone know if I cancel now, will I get the full amount in FCC or do they still go by the regualr cancellation policy percentages. Meaning if I were to cancel now under normal circumstances, I would lose 25%, and get 75% in a refund. SO I'm wondering if I cancel today, will I just get 25% in FCC and 75% in a refund. Then waiting 2 more weeks would be a 50/50 split according the regualr cancellation policy.

  5. I rarely write bad reviews. My wife and I are avid cruisers, and have loved Carnival for years. I just cant hold my tongue about this ship. We went the 1st week in January, and it was the worst cruise we have ever had. That being said, it was still a cruise and we made the best of it. This ship is just "wonky". Every area seems so jammed up that no matter where we went, it felt overcrowded. We have done almost every fantasy class ship, and we love them. Have also done the Pride and Vista, and never felt crowded. It's that crowded feeling that comes from to tight, not from to many people. Everything on that ship seems so close together. Example, we had an ocean suite, and in the bathroom the commode was angled and the front of it was literally 2 inches from the tub. You basically had to sit on it sideways... The atrium is terribly tight. The bar, the guest services, the computers, and the shore excursions were literally on top on each. The casino was super cramped. It was also the smokiest one I have ever been to. Even worse than Fremont in Vegas. The nicest area was the Red Frog Bar in the back of the ship. It was comfortable and spread out.(and great bartenders). Now the worst part of all, the ship was dirty. I mean everywhere we went. Public areas, public bathrooms were un-usable, sticky tables, and we never say a single worker cleaning. Usually you see them everywhere, constantly wiping and cleaning. We saw no one in 5 days. Also in our suite, lots of little things broken. Literal duct tape hold the corner of the bathroom mirror on. The closet door was rigged with a folded up funtimes and tape so it would hit the switch to turn the light off inside the cloet when door closed. Just a really bad experience.

Half Moon Cay is a great beach day.  They have rows of free loungers all along the beach.  You can also rent half shells with two loungers that are great for shade.  There are cabana options available too for a higher fee.  You can google it for more info, but it's a very nice beach day.  The buffet is free, but there is a cost for drinks.

I second HMC. Best beach in the world. Get the Beach Villa, it was the best vacation day ever!!!!

  8. We have done 6 cruises on Fantasy class. Sensation, Fantasy and Elation. I love them all. We did the Pride which is Spirit class, and really enjoyed it. Didn't feel crowded at all. We did the RC Navigator OTS and it felt very crowded. The biggest ship we did was MSC Seaside, but we did the Yacht club, and that was Heaven. We want to try the Havana area of the Vista next. But we always come back to Fantasy class eventually.... I love sitting in the promenade with a drink at hand and people watch.

  9. I booked a cruise on Grandeur last week for Jan 2020. I got $400 OBC for booking a JS. When I click on the cruise planner, it will let me pick excursions, and Spa treatments, but nothing else. When I click beverages or dining or internet, it says they are not available. Am I too far out?? This is only my 2nd RCI cruise so I don't know if this is the norm? I want to use myOBC to help the cost of the deluxe package. It tells me I can use it now.

    Thanks

  10. I received mine on the last night. I think I hit the mark the afternoon before. I had just sat down at a slot and inserted my card when a casino employee with a clipboard came up behind me and said "Mr. Butler", kind of scared me at first. She gave me the paper and had me sign. The paper is vague, doesn't really tell you how to use it. There isn't a code or something like that to use. I called MSC a few days after I got home to inquire. I booked a suite in the YC and got 30%. (about $1300 off). They had me take a picture of my certificate and email it to them for a manager to review. I also have to keep the paper and take it to the casino on the new cruise for my $100 OBC.

  11. I was in 16006 in June. The entrance to the top sail lounge is on that side of the ship. I believe if you walk forward from your cabin toward 16001, you will hit a wall. The elevators in the yacht club is right in front of the concierge. There are glass doors at the concierge that only open with YC key card. Same directly across from main elevator. The bar on 16 is kind of the lobby to all the speciality restaurants. It is not part of the YC, but a very nice area.

  12. I received the 30% voucher on my June cruise. You have to earn 1250 points on your card. I played slots and a little roulette. Don't think points are dollar per point. It was hard to figure out actually.
