  1. My June cruise was sold out at least 6 months ahead of time. I went on everyday and looked, and about 2 weeks ago one opened up. I quickly called and upgraded my Aurea suite to the YC Deluxe!!! I was super excited.

  2. I just changed my June cruise this weekend. They transferred 100% of my non refundable deposit to the new cruise. They told me just a $50 admin fee per person would be assessed. I told them it seemed unfair, and she immediately cancelled the fees, so I did not have to pay it. Easy Peasy.... I did switch to a more expensive cruise though, so having her cancel that fee was probably easier because of that.

  3. We are on the vista on about 2 weeks and booked the 8 fay couples pass for $229. From what I read it's Alot smaller on this ship and no thallaso pool just a small hot tub. We will love it either way because overall it's a great way to relax and we go during off times so it's usually quiet. I'll post a video I watched and you can see the different steam rooms which are my favorite.

If the cabins are too expensive just pre buy the couples pass like we did. I think you will enjoy it like we do

How/Where were you able to pre-purchase the Spa Passes??

  4. I'd just like to comment on tlbutler33's post...

I'm sure some people were a little shocked at the $5278 price for a Havana Suite!

Be aware that they are referring to a Havana SUITE, not a regular Havana Cabana stateroom.

The Havana suites are actually the most expensive cabins on the entire ship!

In fact, they are more expensive than some much larger suites elsewhere on the ship!

The reason the Havana suites are so expensive has a lot to do with supply and demand.

There are only four of them on the entire ship.

And the reason that they are more expensive than some larger suites elsewhere on the ship is because they are one of only about 60 cabins that have access to the Havana pool area during the day.

Havana suites are larger than Havana Cabanas, and also have a swinging/hanging chair on the balcony.

Another thing about the $5278 price that tlbutler33 mentioned... they are cruising in June, and that's one of the times of the year when cruise prices are at their highest. By comparison, we will be in a Havana suite next week, and it only cost us $3689. So, that's a good example of the difference in pricing between cruising in the summer, and cruising during hurricane season.

Also, it appears that the popularity of the Havana cabins has really started to push pricing higher. I did a mock booking for our $3689 suite for the same date one year from now, and the price has shot up to approximately $6000! I booked mine two years ago, before Carnival fully realized how much they would be able to demand for these suites.

3 of the 4 are already booked for my cruise....

They also have a big walk in shower with a rain head shower and sprayer. Considering that I am 6ft 4 and 300lbs, the regular cabin showers just don't work for me....

  5. Hi all, We just booked the Vista 6-day for June 2018 and we are splurging for the Havana Cabana Suite. I have watched videos and been reading, but I have a few questions I'm hoping someone can answer.

    1. The suite appears to have a curtain between the bedroom area and the sofa area, where the plantation type shutters are. Does this curtain close all the way across, offering any seperations??

    2. I am a little unsure if I like the idea of the "balcony" being on the promenade. Any issues there. Does your outside door lock/unlock with key card? Was thinking if we walk the promenade back to the Havana pool, do we need to go inside, or can we lock the slider behind us and go that way??

Thanks. I'm sure I'll have tons more questions in the coming months.....

  6. We have booked 12706, hope it is not enclosed. We have sailed in 2 other forward PH cabins, the Pearl, which has a forward balcony that was huge. It did get a bit windy out there but once we sat in the chairs it was fine. The Epic we were in a 2 bedroom forward suite and those balconies are more like a solarium. We really enjoy the forward PH cabins and they cost less than the aft...

The AFT balconies do look pretty awesome, but it would be an additional $2400 on our cruise compared to the forward. THat's pretty steep....

  7. My wife and I had these exact conversations.... We are sailing on Getaway in Jan 2017 and decided on the forward facing cabin. It is a lot bigger and we love having extra space. The bathroom seems much nicer also. The only drawback is we want spa passes, and will just have to pay the $179 PP. We chose the 10th floor because a lot of the others were connecting cabins, and that weirds me out....

  8. I have stayed in this suite on the EPIC. How is it on the Getaway? I know the balcony is not that deep. But can you enjoy it? How is the rest of the cabin eg shower tub and bed. Do you have enough room to have dinner in your room?

Are they all the same or is one room bigger than the others?

For those of you that have stayed in the SPA suite did you think that it was worth it or did you think that you should have gotten the 2 bedroom suite?

    thanks for your help

The 2 bedroom suite is like twice as much as a Spa Suite. We were torn deciding between the Spa Suite and a forward penthouse. Both were the same price. We decided on the penthouse because its more room and we like having a separate living area. Lots of spa tubs onboard and in the Haven.

  9. I emailed the concierge to find out how much the OTW cabana is on barefoot beach and it's confirmed at $449.00. I did do a search on here but keep getting different prices and the only price on the rccl website is for the ones on nellies beach. I was willing to pay 250.00 bit 450.00 is a bit much.

WOW. That is crazy. I was lucky enough to get an OTW at Nellies for $320 for our 1/2016 cruise when they first became available online. This is our first RC cruise and we are in a grand suite. I wasn't sure how quick the BB cabanas filled up, so I grabbed one at Nellie's when I had a chance. Thinking was, when I was confirmed one on BB, we would cancel the one at Nellie's. But for that price, I think we will hold what we have. I guess we can still walk over to BB to get the upgraded buffet.....

  10. We are a group of 10 sailing RCI for the 1st time. How difficult/long wait will it be to get all 10 of us together in the main dining room? Is it ridiculous for us to make daily reservations??

Wife and I are in a GS, so we are hoping the conceriege will be able to assist us with all 10 people. Is this possible??

    Thanks
  11. Can I pay cash during my cruise to pay down my account before they charge the credit card I have on file? Or will they charge my credit card a few times during the cruise when I hit certain dollar amounts?? I would like to pay down the account with whatever cash I may have left (or won in casino, :D) on like the last day or so so my credit card doesn't take a big hit.

    Thanks

  12. Can anyone explain how they charge for a barefoot beach? Does the concierge reserve it and you pay once onboard? Or do you pay when they email you to reserve??

I ask because I have a cabana reserved online on Nellie's. We are in a GS and want to get one on BB. Once confirmed I have one on barefoot I plan to cancel the one I have at Nellies.
