  1. Sorry for not responding sooner... it's been a busy weekend! Thanks so much for all the feedback. Looks like we will get off the ship and at least have a walk around and maybe a meal and/or carriage ride. I noticed some of the responses to my post almost seemed like they were offended that we would consider not getting off the boat... I certainly didn't mean to offend! I've only been to Canada once (Toronto) and LOVED it! I guess when I was reading the Alaska reviews I never saw anyone post anything they recommended doing and I thought I read several times that since we dock in the evening on Monday the city was kind of shut down by then. That's why I posted... I was hoping I would get some suggestions! Thanks again, I'll be sure and come back and let you all know what we end up doing!

  2. I've had mine since 2003 and used on 20 cruises! It works great! The only thing I have noticed is that sometimes the little hooks it comes with don't fit very well on the door (even though I only use 2 of them). So the last time I brought twine, laced it through the hook holes and then tied it to the towel rack on the opposite side of the bathroom door. This kept it in place better and the door wasn't as hard to shut!

  3. I think it's actually "Talk like a Pirate Day", but Carnival is calling it "Pirate Day". It's this Friday, September 19th. Our group is wearing minimal pirate gear all day and dressing up a little more (some in costumes) for dinner and after dinner activities. Just sounds like something fun to do! It's only the one day right now, but if it takes off, Carnival may do it more often.

  4. You can absolutely order as much as you want! I like to share with others at our table because I feel bad if I don't finish something, but we have NEVER had an issue ordering more than 1 of anything! In fact, sometimes our waiter has overheard us trying to decide and has brought multiple items to us on his own! Have fun and try what you want!

  5. Yay! My $100 promo card just arrived in my email! Just to confirm, I purchased the $1000 ecard on Monday. Then made a couple of phone calls after I realized the promo had ended, but that got me NO WHERE! Then I sent the email. So, today I finally got the response to my email and a few minutes later the email with the promo card. I'm confident Carnival will rectify for everyone... just taking some time!
