Thanks for the info! Have you ever used Shore Excursioneer? Are they reliable?

Where did you get the day pass from? What was the cost?

Has anyone ever used Caribbean Day Pass or Shore Excursioneer website for Aruba's all inclusive Barcelo (formerly Occidental ) Grand Resort?
I have never booked this way. Any thoughts?

We recently returned from Navigator of the Seas Feb. 2, 2018 sailing. Curacao was one of our favorite ports because of our tour guide Andy with private curacao tours. We booked our tour prior to the sailing (money was paid after the tour). We had a customized private tour for 4. He was quick to respond to our emails. We emailed him with suggestions of some of the things we wanted to do during our 6 hour tour. We met Andy at the RIF fort about a 10 min. walk from the ship. We went through the historic town by the floating markets and bridge. We drove around the East side where people live and stopped at the man-made Mambo beach for a quick look. We stopped at a small market for some drinks and drove past the airport. We stopped at Shete Boka National Park to see the rugged coastline and blowholes. We chose to snorkel at two different places with turtles (Playa Piscada and Playa Lagun). My husband and I have our own snorkel equipment but he did provide snorkeling gear for our friends. We stopped at Kenepa Grandi and little Kenepa for photos. The beaches were beautiful and the water was turquoise. We saw Playa Forti where they cliff jump. We ate lunch at El Rancho Sabino. We stopped at a Plantation house and saw wild flamingos at the salt plains. He dropped us off at the DUSHI sign in the shopping area. He would've taken us back to the ship if we wanted to. Andy was a great guide. He was very informative and answered all of our questions. Highly recommended him.We also had an amazing experience with Aroubd Curaçao Tours. We toured with Sharmond, Andy’s partner, and he was phenomenal. You can contact them at aroundcuracaotours@gmail.com
Thanks so much for the quick response. If you don't mind me asking, what did you do on the tour and what was the cost?

I would like to contact Andy. Do you still have his contact information?

Faster to the Fun. For a fee for the cabin, you get priority boarding, priority tenders, priority line at guest services, etc,
Thanks! :)

I currently have FTTF which puts me in priority for dining requests. If I get accepted for the 6pm dining (I am currently on a waitlist for it), and I cancel FTTF after getting my chosen time, will I be put back onto the waiting list?
What is FTTF?

Not to miss: do at least once.
Afternoon tea
Ice cream volcano from the kid's menu in the MDR
Hot dogs at the grill (DH says better than at the ballpark)
Pub lunch (fish & chips or shrimp & chips) the "chips" are excellent
Chef's Table (if you can get a res) $125pp with wine, $85pp without wine (not positive about the prices, but close)
Ultimate Ship Tour (if you can get a res) $150pp
Sign up in the Personalizer for a birthday or anniversary (if the dates line up or even somewhere close, they don't check). You'll get a really nice chocolate cake and the waiters will sing. No charge.
Do a search here for Chef's Table & UST if interested, both are a once in a lifetime experience.
Thanks JF! I'm looking forward to trying everything!

Hi...we are sailing the Star in a few weeks and I asked something similar a while ago. I think that I can link the thread here (computer dinosaur) and perhaps there is something in the replies that might interest you.
Thank you kodidog! That thread was very helpful! Enjoy your trip on the Star.

Hi!
I will be on the Star in Alaska in 8 days! I am so EXCITED! I know some ships have spots that are little hidden gems, which not everyone knows about. Does the Star have any of these areas? Also, what are some of the "not to miss" things on this ship?
Thanks!

They are included on the ships that make them. The Royal, Regal and Pacific do not make them.
Sent from my desk top using MTF
Do they make them on the Star?

When you buy the smoked salmon is it already pre-sliced?

Thanks for all your suggestions!

Thanks everyone for all your help!

There is a shop in Denali that carrries fabric right across the road from McKinley chalet resort. Not sure of the hours of all the shops in port. I was able to get to 5 shops. Went to Whales Tale in Ketchikan, Changing Tides in Juneau, Rushin Tailors in Skagway,I think it was called Northen Heart Origial in Denali, and Quilted Raven in Anchorage. I got many new projects to do.
carol 515 - Out of all five of the shops, which one was your favorite?

Thanks for the help!!
Are there any outlets near the bed?

Hi All!
We will be on the Star in about 2 weeks. I have looked, but haven't found any info regarding the amount of electical outlets in an interior cabin. I would like to be prepared because we have quite a few items that will need charging. Can anyone help me out?
Thanks!

We will be doing a Cruise-tour with Princess starting on August 13th. We are flying into Anchorage a day before the tour begins. We will be staying at Captain Cook Hotel and in the Denali and Mt.McKinley Princess Lodges. The ports on the cruise are Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan. After the cruise we will spend a few days in Vancouver.
I would like to purchase both salmon and smoked salmon to bring home/ship home for friends and family. I would appreciate any and all suggestions as to where the best places/ports are to purchase these items. Thanks in advance for your thoughts! :D
