Trying to figure out which night to book the steak house....

Sunshine five night cruise with the sea day for the first full day of the cruise. Am I correct to assume that’s the formal dinner night?

I'd vote for the longer cruise. We did recently sail on the elation and had a great trip. The boat is missing the extras, but the staff was great, food was good and we had a lot if fun.

I didn't realize the Paradise is up for an update. I'm having difficulty finding info on what upgrades are expected though....

We traveled on the paradise in the past and loved getting to visit Cozumel and Grand Cayman on a shorter cruise. Not sure whether to travel on the paradise again or try the Sunshine instead. I would be excited to try a larger boat with more options but we have visited the Bahamas several times. For anyone who has traveled on both ships is the Sunshine much of an upgrade in ships? We would be traveling with our 11 year old daughter.

If you book 8 or more staterooms, you qualify for perks from a group booking. I'd look for a travel agent who would share those perks with you.

So you suggest using a travel agent instead of calling RCCLdirect?

My extended family is in the beginning stages of booking a cruise for next summer. Is there any any types of discounts by actually calling if we are going to book more than 5 rooms? Being we are not sure which ship or line we are going to take, I'm trying to figure out whether to call now or wait until we narrow it down to the exact ship?

Just returned yesterday - the shows were epic rock and divas. Nights three and four. Both were excellent !

We are cruising elation Thursday. We have cruised in that V.21 room and the obstruction was not too bad - but we are very excited to see how this suite compares.

Obstructed JS to GS a little more then 100 a night

So yesterday we missed the upsell offer and interestingly enough, we got ANOTHER chance at it this morning. DH thinks maybe the people the accepted it yesterday reconsidered? Who knows but we're pretty excited for the extra space :)

They also sent an email. I'd say my husband called back 45 minutes later, all gone

We missed an upsell call this afternoon while we were flying in for Thursday's cruise... when we called back less than an hour later the room was already filled :(. Bummer!

Heading on the April 13 cruise and I can't wait .... haven't been able to locate menus. Does this ship use the new menus I've been hearing about?

We're very used to old clunkers.... have already cruised monarch, fascination, enchantment and look forward to the elation in a couple weeks. We haven't been on a newer ship, so we don't know better:)

Looking for opinions on deciding between these two choices. After doing a bunch of Bahamas cruises in a row looking for a shorter carribean cruise. Victory visits Cozumel (love the amazing race) and key west. Sensation visits grand cayman and Ocho rio. Are the ships similiar?

We often combine four day cruises with a few Disney days and it's the perfect trip!

The Cozumel amazing race was the best excursion that we have ever done on all of our cruises. We did not enjoy the quest excursion anywhere near as much. For our upcoming April stop in Nassau we had the scavenger hunt excursion booked but later got an email canceling it... we re-booked for the City Seeker and we are keeping our fingers crossed that it will have the amount of people needed to run. I will post an update afterwards to let you all know how it goes :)

The cancellation email we got suggested a company named reef tours- so I contacted them. But they said we would need to reserve their tour through carnival.
