No idea what they do with the larger bags; they take them from you before you board and then they appear in your room.

It just wanted to know if they actually search the bags. I have been on many cruises and never had this happened. The scanner is usually sufficient.

I was reading through these boards and came across a message that said Windstar opens your luggage up for a search before you board. Is this true? No scanning? I will be traveling on the Wind Spirit.

After reading this thread, I am confused. I know March is considered rainy season. I booked March 15 which is what OP was talking about. I have heard that rainy season is sporadic. Now I am wondering if it is just going to be downpours the whole time. Thoughts or experiences?

From what I have heard from Royal Caribbean, they are leaving and returning to San Juan on Sept 30th. So we are hoping to leave on the 30th since the ship will be returning there but nothing is for sure.
